Overview

‘Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach is a coveted locale to stay at. The venue has been listed as one of the best resorts in Hawaii, as well as having some of the most stunning views in the world. While guests are able to explore the surrounding areas, there is plenty to do and enjoy on the ‘Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach without ever leaving it.

Named after the last reigning monarch of Hawaii, Queen Liliuokalani, the resort is designed with a modern look that conveys tranquility. Rockwell Group, an award-winning design firm, took charge in designing every luxurious aspect. Upon entering the open-air lobby, there is a 280,000-gallon Oceanarium that is not only unique but incredibly memorable.

‘Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach offers seven different rooms and suites to choose from. There is also a range of ADA-accessible rooms equipped with hand-held showers, strobe light alarms, and more. Guests who prefer a particular scenery can choose from rooms with an ocean, seascape, and beachside views.

When staying at ‘Alohani Resort Waikiki Beach, visitors can keep fit and relax at the Island Club and Spa. The luxe facility has state-of-the-art equipment and tennis courts to group classes and batting cages. At the spa, guests can enjoy facial treatments and massages.

Dining at the resort is a treat, as well. Guests can start the day at Lychee, where there is a breakfast buffet made from locally sourced ingredients. For lunch, Momosan Waikiki offers tasty ramen and a beer garden. O-Bar is great for meeting friends, colleagues, and family for an afternoon snack or drink. In the evening, Morimoto Asian Waikiki by Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto is a must-try. Then for even more nightlife, Swell bar is ideal for mingling and enjoying live music.

Oceanfront rooms suffer from street noise. Parking and other fees are outrageous. An extra $100 per night.

Pros (+) The water pressure in the shower was excellent! The staff asked us daily if there was anything they could do to improve our stay; it made us feel very welcome and that they were eager to make our stay the best it could be.
Cons (-) Nothing; we have no complaints.

Pros (+) The hotel is newly renovated and less than a 5 min walk to the beach Love the pool And lot of all love their customer service. Renee went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care off Great breakfast The aquarium was really fun for our kids along with the pool.
Cons (-) Our refrigerator broke on day one but they were good about replacing it The parking is expensive $30 a day as is the breakfast buffet $35 per person Wish the kids pool was heated The Morimoto restaurant customer service was disappointing as they kept saying the chef was there so we made multiple reservations and yet every time we went they came up with some excuse as to why we could not meet him. ...

Pros (+) I liked the location. It's right next to the mcdonalds if you're hungry for a cheap meal, especially if you don't want to spend $35 for the breakfast buffet that they offer at the hotel. But if you get a free deal for the breakfast buffet if you book through Expedia or a third party website , it's definitely worth it. There's a parking garage connected to the hotel but it'll cost you $25/night. It...
Cons (-) There's a hidden resort fee that you pay $20 a night for. But my question was, where's the resort? The clerk was like, "this is the resort." But he wasn't clear that the "resort fee" included beach towels and beach chairs. There's a LOT of construction going on. It doesn't bother me so much, but it might bother you. There's no pool, but the hotel does have access to the Hilton's pool next door. Bu...

Pros (+) I LOVE the new renovations they are doing here. I really enjoyed my stay and will be back for sure. Comfortable beds, great showers, beautiful views. Friendly staff ! It was wonderful.
Cons (-) The 35$ breakfast cost. It was a surprise to me to pay that much for breakfast.

Pros (+) The updated room was very nice. We stayed on the 37th floor and we had a fabulous view of Diamond Head and the beach. The beach is literally right in front of the hotel. The location is great. It is within walking distance of everything you need. This hotel is a great value for the price. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.
Cons (-) The lobby needs to be updated. It was clean but the decor looked like it was from the 80's. They need to update it like the rooms. The elevators were a bit of a hassle. There were 4 of them and one was not working. The ones that were working seemed to have a mind of their own at times.

Cons (-) I booked this room for my elderly parents for their first vacation in Hawaii. Paid for a partial ocean view room, and got only a slice of ocean. They were given the worst room possible in that category. AC unit outside room was extremely loud which made their sleep miserable. I feel sorry for them and regret booking this hotel. But the damage was done.
