The grounds were gorgeous the staff were always around talking and not just the fly by hi and bye but actually telling stories about where they live, where to visit, and all sorts of different things you would have never thought to ask. The rooms were gorgeous! as well as the views from the balconys. My next trip will definitely be through the resort again! The restaraunt is also very deliscious! a bit on the pricey side though. The conscierge Radiance is also amazing!
Fabulous! Excellent, friendly staff; excellent set-up
It's hard to write this review. I have such mixed emotions about this vacation. The hotel was beautiful and the room was spacious and very clean. Getting to the hotel was a different story it is located 2 and 1/2 hours way from the international airport and far from almost all activities. It would be in your best interest to rent a car if you don't want to be stuck on the resort or pay pricey transfer fees. The food and service at the only restaurant was terrible and over priced. We walked to near by resorts to eat whenever possible. The highlight of our trip was our super friendly and knowledgeable concierge. He suggested lots of great activities and gave us lots of information about Belize and Hopkins the town that was near by. If not for him I think our vacation would have been a bust. If your dependent on television bring a portable dvd player because the basic rooms do not include them. Overall our stay was nice. I think next time I will choose another place that will give me 100% of what I am looking for.
First - this is not a 5 STAR hotel. It looks new and quite pretty, I'll give them that. That's where the good news ends. My wife and I usually take 2 trips a year, and this one was the worst we've had - by far. We had to take 3 flights just to get here. Our rather large room had NO TV or PHONE. The bathroom has no roof of its own - it basically is part of the large studio - something we have NEVER seen before; it's disgusting. It also had a window into the bathroom right behind the bed - the design is ridiculous. The sand fly/ mosquito situation is awful - we could not go out at night even though we covered ourselves in bug spray. They rent DVDs here that are pirated and mostly shot with a video camera. The tours were OK, except on our fishing trip the guide's boat stalled 3 times - we had to get a boost from another boater. The food was average at best, and there are no other options except a neighboring hotel; the food there is even worse. The village of Hopkins looks like something out of a horror show - there are no houses here I would pay more than $50 for, and I'd be overpaying. We went once and did not return. And all of this is not even the worst part - THERE IS PRETTY MUCH NOTHING TO DO but sit on the beach and eat. We watched at least 7 DVDs on our laptop, 6 of which were really bad quality. We were counting the days till we leave - we are flying back to frigid New York in 5 hours, and I could not wait to review.
My wife and I enjoyed our vacation at Belizean Dreams immensely. Our Villa was spacious and well appointed with all the items needed to be self sufficient and entertain. The excursions were among the best we have ever had the pleasure of experiencing and included cave tubing, zip lining through the jungle, visiting some Mayan ruins and diving. The diving was unbelievable! Through our whole trip we never felt rushed and the staff at Belizean Dreams went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. If you are looking for a vacation in a truly unique and untouched environment then Belizean Dreams is sure to please. We can¿t wait to go back and experience the things we weren¿t able to fit in on our last trip.
Owners were very accommodating! I had the change my plans several times and they were understanding and very helpful! They also gave us a room on the side opposite of the restaurant next door that has a live band on Thursdays at the same rate as our original room since I had a toddler with me. The rest of my stay was quiet and everything was very clean and well kept! Great location too! There wasn't any hot water which wasn't really an issue for us but I did go to my Mom's hotel across the way to give my little one a shower. Beds are a little loud but this also didn't create an issue for us.
A little bit overdue on writing a review, but latitude adjustment met all expectations for my partner and I. We are in our early 20's and this stay was great. It had literally everything you needed. The amenities were of plenty. The wife's owner, Vanessa went out of her way and drove a few hours just to bring back my partners phone, which he had left in our previous stay! We were so thankful! Brian, the owner even let me use his phone when my bank locked my account due to using to many atm's. Brian, Vanessa, my partner and I even met up at a local bar one night and it was very eventful. The hospitality was great. You will not regret coming here! Brian and Vanessa are there if you need them. They will even help you book some tours. The beach is literally a short walk away, this was one of our favorite stays. Thank you Brian and Vanessa, hope you are doing well <3 Gema & Jp No Ac but the rooms come with fans. And you can always take a dip at the pool!
