Pros: Beautiful place with attention to details and that extra touch. A hidden gem worth stopping at.
Pros: The most beautiful location.
Pros: A famous place on a local farm with nice rooms and a wonderfull proprietess. Breakfast in a lovely room with homemade bread. Beautiful ambience.
Pros: The room was rather small but beautifully furnished. We apprecciated the breakfast and the beautiful sitting room in the premises.
Cons: We had to use the common kitchen (not expected).
Pros: Friendly welcome. Beautifully appointed with attention to detail. Lovely breakfast.
Cons: It was all good but some milk left for a coffee or tea at night would have been nice
Pros: Tranquility Eye for detail Warm hospitality Great breakfast Wonderful beds
Cons: Nothing about the property...the small downside is that the supermarket nearby is closed on Sunday. The owner solved it by making us a nice meal on the day of our arrival!
Pros: It's a very lovely place, with many small details, that make your stay such cozy) Located in a picturesque place, not far from powerful waterfall, river and amazing lake. Nice kitchen with everything you need to cook any dish, bathroom with floor heating. There is a hot tub in outdoors as well. Fine breakfast with fresh bread rolls, so you'll not stay hungry. Owner of the place offers delicious dinner in authentic room with a fireplace and it's a good opportunity to exchange impressions and experience of travelling around Norway and to get more familiar with the lifestyle of Norwegians.
Pros: The rooms are fantastic! This is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay! The breakfast is healthy, fresh, and very tasty. You feel at home with the host family. We highly recommend you stay in this lovely guest house/inn. When we return to Norway we would like to stay for more then one night!
Pros: Very old house like museum. Very nice place

Pros: Its a little bit scary but its unique and anthic the room
Cons: The bathroom are outside. If going with kids will have a little trouble.
Pros: very good atmosphere - wonderful nature around...
Cons: When we booked that double room, it was not clear from the description, that it has only a shared bathroom.
Pros: One of the best places where we stayed in Norway if we refer to location, very scenic and quiet place with almost no people on the hiking routes around, good breakfast.
Cons: The shared bathroom was in the basement and the room was on the floor which was not very convenient
Pros: The breakfast was superb, and the location fantastic. Very warm welcome, we felt part of the family.
Pros: Everything was so nice I didn't want to leave. The interior was very nice with all items matching in a beautiful Scandinavian style, the sourrounding peaceful with a trail of waterfalls to hike. The apartment was also well-equiped for cooking. We enjoyed having breakfast on the patio with a perfect view. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful.
Pros: Amazing place in the middle of the nature, next to the charming river and the mountains. Family place at the beautiful farm
Pros: This property is lovely. A grouping of historic buildings/farm right on the river. Our beds were comfy, bathroom was gorgeous (although in a separate building), we slept very well.
Cons: The stairs to the family rooms are in a historic building and very steep with no hand rails (and your shoes need to be off), so a bit scary. We never had problems with the stairs, but were super careful. Plus, you have to go down these to get to the bathroom.
Pros: Really nice family run guest house. We arrived in the pouring rain and it rained all night so we never really got out to explore the area.We cooked our own meal in the basement kitchen and had a good breakfast in their breakfast cafe. The owner was very friendly and the facilities were very clean.
Cons: The weather!
Pros: It is a beautiful property and utterly unique, with access to some of the most exquisite sites in Norway. Breakfast was perfect and a great start to the day.
Cons: It was wonderful!
Pros: Nice cabin and facilities. Great location by the fjord. Nice staff.
Cons: Bed linnen for rent was a little overpriced - 150 NOK per person...
Pros: A nice and clean cabin. The host was very nice and helpfull.the view is amazing and i recomnened to rent a boat and drive along the fjord-amazing expirience.very nice road from bergen to bjordal.
Pros: -Location: on the fjord, in a quiet, non-touristy area -On the way from Bergen, you drive on a local road for your last segment. That part is amazing! Beautiful scenery and almost no other cars on the road! -Heat: cabin was very warm, had the best heating of all the places I've stayed in Norway -Overall coziness (besides hot water problems, see cons). It didn't feel cramped at all despite the small size -Despite the fact that the cabins are right next to each other, it was very quiet. I guess the other travellers were also looking for peace and quiet, and therefore were respectful and quiet
Cons: -Lack of sufficient hot water! I always ran out of hot water, even when I was using it at minimum and keeping the temperature at the coldest temperature that's still tolerable, both when I was showering and doing the dishes. Since the cabin is supposed to accommodate 4 people, it's outrageous that there is not enough hot water even for a single person -With the added fees (cleaning and towel/bed linen rental) it ended up costing almost as much as my hotel in Bergen, which I found annoying because I was looking for budget-friendly options. I wish these fees were more prominently displayed on their listing -The towels I was given were very old and rough, the kind that you keep in your garage and use to wipe your hands after handling motor oil. I expect better quality towels when I am paying to use them! -I didn't find the staff that helpful. The hiking map I was given was almost 20 years old, which made it hard to find the trail (had to ask several people). At one point, I couldn't find something in the cabin, and had to run to their office several times. Is it really that hard to walk 5 meters with me to the cabin and show me?...
Cons: Renting linens. Linens should be provided.
Pros: The staff were really nice and relaxed. The scenery was so beautiful and surrounding areas. Would only recommend visiting if you have a car!
Pros: View from the window was perfect. Cabin was heated, clean and well-equiped. There were some problems with wifi signal. Bjordal is small, secluded village. Great if you like silence and nature (especially catching fish).
Pros: Awesome host, very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend the camping site.
Pros: Very nice location, just on a lake. Host was friendly. Place was warm and cozy in the chilling winter. Adequate kitchen. Outside views are amazing - mountains, lake and clouds. Will definitely come back.
Cons: Nothing as such

Pros: Very good personal service from staff. Nice thought the bottle of wine for our wedding anniversary.
Cons: Breakfast could have been better . More fruit esprcially
Pros: The rooms are very functional and clean. The breakfast was very good.
Cons: Felt very basic hotel which was more for people passing through rather than using it as a base. Staff unclear of any activities to do in the area, even hiking routes and no guide books in the hotel to help. Had to travel to other towns for walking and other tourist attractions.
Pros: Locality is compare to other places ...how to say it ... quite poor ...but the hotel itself has the best view form the city and the personal was very friendly and gave us warm and welcome feeling ...breakfast was excellent and room clean... bed was very comfortable and heavy curtains provided dark for good sleep And fishing directly from the hotel is very real and possible
Cons: as I said ...the village itself is quite poor...not like Balestrand for ex.... but still...view in front and out of the hotel window is nice.... on the other hand I may be spoiled already and if this place will be located in any other part of Europe, will be most likely considered as a "pearl" and visited by crowds
Pros: Central place.
Pros: Lovely hotel right on the fjord in a small picturesque village, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Comfortable beds with a view over the water. Bathrooms are basic, clean and functional. Food in the restaurant was delicious but very expensive.
Cons: Price of food
Pros: Pleasant location. Choose the room with the fjord view.

Pros: Beautiful hotel in beautiful setting and great staff
Pros: Very small but clean rooms, hotel is a bit outdated, however these negative points are all erased by the very freiendly and helling staff.
Pros: very nice boutique hotel in a very quiet town on the edge of a fjord. Breakfast, as well as dinner, were very good in the hotel and the room was clean and quiet
Cons: only small detail was that the shower soap dispenser was empty and the other dispenser was across the small bathroom by the sink requiring us to exist the shower to dispense soap. The fire alarm went off during breakfast, requiring everyone to exit the hotel. False alarm but added some excitement to our stay.
Pros: Location is fine, staff is friendly and room I was allocated was spacious. I did not eat at the location.
Cons: Due I suspect to extensive wall-to-wall carpeting, there is a general mustiness about the hotel. Also I think my room, and the corridor outside could have been aired better.
Pros: The hotel was close to the fjord
Pros: Nice setting and views from some rooms are great. Food in restaurant was very good and I really enjoyed my Scampi Wok. The Scampi and Scallops looked great too.
Cons: No lift. Lazy I know but I had a heavy bag.
Pros: The property was very nice. The room was large and very nice. Hoyanger is a small city with very little to do but it is on a beautiful part of a fjord.
Cons: There isn't much to do in Hoyanger.
Pros: Very central placement in Høyanger. Great parking

Pros: This is a family run hotel with a very good restaurant. We were happy to see the scenic route No.13 including Likholefossen, Gaularfjellet which have stunning views. Sande Hotel is well located in the area which is worth spending a couple of days for visits.
Pros: Staff generally very friendly. Food was pleasantly ok for type of establishment. Breakfast was better than anticipated, considering hotel quiet - the host offering a cooked breakfast as an option. Dining area modern and well equipped.
Cons: The lodge side of business was disappointing and in need of updating. Having said that if you need a one night stop over it was adequate. Welcome could do with some work!
Pros: The breakfasts were decent.
Cons: The room felt very tired and in need of a big overhaul. No toiletries in the bathroom. The only soap in the bathroom came from a dispenser attached to the wall.
Pros: great staff and beautiful premises. delicious breakfast
Pros: Helpful owner, very nice breakfast
Pros: great value for money & decent breakfast rooms were clean
Cons: beds were a bit soft for us, but still comfortable
Pros: Friendly, comfortable bed, balcony

Pros: Very nice location. Was convenient for us. Host was super friendly and even arranged a heating stove for us just in case if we wanted to cook anything. Place was warm and cozy in the chilling winter. Convenience stores are at a close proximity.
Cons: Really nothing
Pros: View from the 2nd floor balcony.
Cons: Narrow stairs
Pros: The staff was really nice. The owner came and greeted us despite our late arrival, checkin was quick and easy and the room was very comfortable with nice views over the fjord. Would stay at Dampen again!
Pros: Great location within a couple of minutes by walk from the fjord. The owner was very friendly. Contrary to the description, it is possible to pay by card. The city is not very popular with tourists so it was very calm and silent.
Cons: A hair dryer in the room would have been nice.
Pros: Good location near restaurants and pubs. Can walk down to the water easily. Clean and comfortable.
Cons: No reception area. Phone wasn’t working had to find someone to call the owner t let me in. Was not clear in the check in process
Pros: The room was clean. The house was at a central place in the city. The beds were comfortable. The bath was small but very clean.
Cons: There was no kitchen, but we did have a fridge for all the guests in the corridoor.
Pros: The location was good for our roadtrip, the room was warm and the parking was just in from. There is a cheap supermaket closed by, where you can have prepared food, since you cannot cook.
Cons: Normally, my reviews are short but in this case I just hate when the information given is misleading. So, the place it's almost the only possibility in that little town, so that is why I booked it but apart from I feel by the info, some things are missing. First, there is only one kettle and one small fridge for all the rooms ( not in every room). The fridge was so cold that actually all our food was frozen next morning. We were lucky that the guy was arriving when we got there at 18:30, even though the check in started at 17:00 (there is not reception). The rooms have very thin walls and curtains, and it's over a pub, so our night wasn't that quite, I cannot imagine in high season when the place it's full of tourist and the pub opens until late. I want to use the gym, but apparently you can enter just if there is someone there, so they can open you or you call the manager so he can come by car and open the car for you, I did it and he never replied. The internet is very slow. Lastly, the fact that some guest could use the kitchen was only good luck, if they were in the room that there is a kitchen, for the rest of the room, you will only get the the good luck if the only kettle is avalibale and maybe two bowls.
Pros: View was perfect! The room was cosy, clean.
Cons: We had to wait for 1.5hrs to check-in (start time is shown as 5pm, but we were let in only at 6:30pm).
Pros: Location. Near Stave Kirk and water. Price.
Cons: We did not have working phones. We needed WiFi to contact owner. Luckily we happened upon a friend of the owner walking down the street to contact owner we were in town. Breakfast was the grocery store. Vic is literally at the end of the world. Why would anyone go There. We were on a Stave Kirk mission. Hopstad, is only one of 28 that still exit.
Pros: The staff is very kind and hospitable. I could use the fitness and a bike for free!
Pros: The room was very clean and the breakfast was very filling and good
Cons: We had great difficulty finding it. We had on address on our confirmation, another address on the listing and their coordinates took us to a nearby hotel. The room turned out to be over a gas station
Pros: The host and the actual room were very nice. Views out windows are beautiful.
Cons: Location over a gas station on a road in a town with very few choices of places to ear
