Pros: Sherry provided! Incredible breakfast. 3 minutes walk to Dunham Massey or to toe path walk along canal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was the best we have had @ a b&b . The location suited us & the pub Swan with two Nicks, food & drink ticked our boxes. The room, was homely. Bathroom was a modern large shower, toilet & wash basin. This I believe is only for a stay in room 4. The rest of the rooms have a on suite. The hosts where so helpful & kept the property very clean. Indeed will be going back, for a longer stay.
Cons: Nothing, spot on.

Pros: What a wonderful couple, so attentive, and willing to make our stay as welcoming and comfortable as possible. The breakfast was 5 star. They helped us with our day plans, they told us about the history of the village giving us more to see. I couldn't fault our two night stay, my children were welcomed and treat like little superstars. Our stay here was perfect, and if we do visit Liverpool again we will be booking our stay with this b&b again.
Cons: I have nothing to say against this b&b or our hosts.

Pros: Richard and Maureen were so welcoming and kind. Delicious scrambled eggs ! Evie (13) when telling her mum all about the 3 places we stayed on our cycling holiday said Church End Farm was the best and that both Richard and Maureen were just lovely.

Pros: We were really impressed with this B&B. The hosts contacted us by email prior to our stay and had booked us a table for dinner at the local pub the night we arrived which was really thoughtful. The room was lovely, well appointed and spotlessly clean. We had the family room which was plenty big enough for the three of us and has an ensuite on the top floor. Breakfast was delicious, great selection and Maureen and Richard served it up with a smile! Overall we were really happy with our stay and would definitely stay again.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Food was outstanding, both evening meal and breakfast. Staff were excellent - friendly, helpful and not intrusive. Room was spacious, dramatic interior design and comfy bed. Standard things - heating, wifi, phone signal ... all good.
Cons: It actually was fine for me because I had company all evening but I noticed there was no tv in the room and that might be a problem for some.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed and lovely room, found the lights and radio switched on for me when I arrived back from the wedding I went to nearby, which was a nice touch. Was unable to check in before the wedding but was given the key so I could get straight in when I got back. Breakfast selection was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Only real downer was lack of shower - I was in ‘Malbec’ which has a bath and shower head but bath is in middle of the room so not possible to use as a shower really. Appreciate the website did state that all rooms had shower OR bath. Could hear the guests above me in the morning as floors are old and creaky but luckily was getting up myself, otherwise would’ve disturbed sleep.

The food was excellent - had evening meal there and the breakfast in the morning was great. Would love to visit again in the summer as there is a fantastic "secret" garden at the back.
Cons: Nothing, it was excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely friendly staff and excellent selection of gins!
7.5 Good
Pros: It’s in a great location if a little out of town, breakfast excellent and staff really nice.
Cons: Was a little dated
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, laid back owners/staff. Good breakfast. Good lunches/evening meals available at reasonable prices. Quiet lounge area. Location - 360deg views from grounds; handy 5min drive to Glossop town and rail-head to Manchester. Comfortable bed; crisp fresh linen/towels. Pre-warned on booking that a wedding anniversary event was scheduled at the venue during my stay (2 events during my stay - no problem with noise, but no live music). A place of character.
Cons: All good and nothing bad. Small points: Old historic building so sound insulation not up to modern standards - some corridor and downstairs noise gets through to room. No problem on my stay, when all guests where quiet. Regular functions held - just be aware if you're sensitive to noise, but events experienced not disturbing. Decor getting near needing a little in need of TLC, but all clean & tidy. Exit on to the fast main road from one entrance has limited visibility (use the other one!)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel and staff are very friendly and helpful lovely spot very peaceful, great if you like walking.
Cons: Nothing
6.7 Good
Pros: The location & views are beautiful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The room was clean but very small, the bed comfortable but the pillows like ROCKS!! The shower cubicle was so small it was a struggle to wash adequately and the noise(!) the electric shower made - well ... The ensuite was so cramped you had to wiggle around the sink to get to the loo, however, it served its purpose for one night.
Cons: The function room had been booked out by my family until 6pm. At 5.15pm a large number of our guests had a minibus arrive and we all left the function room to say goodbye, leaving our bags, drinks etc where they were ..... upon returning to the room a major clean up including hoovering was in progress, including our drinks all having been removed & disposed of, some of them completely full glasses of bubbly. Unhappy doesn't begin to describe how we felt. A lot of money was spent on this day, the function room, food, drinks and 3 rooms for the night, and the room in essence was still ours to use for a further 30 minutes. We were also told we could no longer stay in the function area and we had to decamp to the cavernous and frankly, uninviting, bar area. Thankfully, some other overnight guests who were using the guest lounge went out and we able to make ourselves more comfortable on the comfy sofas.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable bed lovely views great breakfast and hosts were great

Pros: We loved the room, it was large and the beds were very comfortable. Also the window opens which allows fresh air to come in, something that it is quite rare in most hotels. The location in the town is great. It enable you to walk around the town. We loved having the restaurant on the premises and enjoyed the dinners there.
Cons: The internet was terrible. The lady on the desk was not helpful or friendly. We had a problem with the TV, it just turned itself off. We found it hard to get anyone to come and fix it, so decided to unplug it and turn it on again. This rectified the problem. This happened one more time during our 2 night stay.
