We loved the nice well renovated location in the middle of Rüdesheim everything ok, parking space close by
The location was exelent, it had a great breakfast, a top class restaurant, and the staff were so frendly.
Nice and comfortable rooms. Good breakfast! Nice restaurant with good food and excellent wines - produced by Mr Breuer himself! The Berg Schlossberg is probably the best riesling ever produced!
The hotel was so much better than expected. The staff was friendly and really made us comfortable. The breakfast was included and beautifully presented. Wish we could have stayed longer.
People is very friendly. German local Food and local wine is very good. I can recommend this hotel . nothing.
Breakfast was very good. It was also convenient that they had a restaurant. Spacious bathrooms. The rooms are very basic and boring. No authentic German character. No shampoo/conditioner or lotion was given in the bathrooms.
Style of hotel was german village like, very attractive. Location was excellent, room very modern but very comfortable. Staff welcoming and most helpful. Food also very good. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Location. And, a very nice hotel. We will definitely return. There wasn't a think not to like!
The hotel was in an excellent position in the town, rooms were large and modern, restaurant and food were excellent, very good breakfast and the staff were very helpful. I would certainly stay again.
Location was great, Rhine riverboat, chairlift, and general charm. Our room was noisy, thank heavens for sleeping pills.
Super breakfast, relaxing environment away from the city (yet close enough to get into town by a short taxi ride). Was not impressed with the cleanliness considering the prices charged. Perhaps it was supposed to be part of the rustic hunting lodge-type charm of the facility.
Staff were helpful and friendly, the food was excellent and the hotel setting beautiful and peaceful
Very comfortable rooms and extremely friendly staff
I arrived at 10pm but they kept the restaurant open for me.
I like to have rich Breakfast and better room.
Away from the crowded
Friendly restaurant staff, dressing gowns in the room, swimming pool, secure parking
Location of the ex hunting lodge is great for a get away, in the hills, near the forests. We liked the chairlift down to the Rhine, rooms clean and comfy. Plenty of free parking on site, car would be essential here. Restaurant was excellent, dinner great and breakfast was one of the biggest food spreads I'd seen. Nothing, all great.
Room, Grounds and Dining no
Excellent country location for walking/chilling out. The bedroom was quite dark and some colour would help to brighten up the room- we were located in the house in the garden.
The trains are loud because they are right in front of the hotel.
Really good room, warm and comfortable bed. Very clean and modern facilities.
Availability Railway line outside hotel
Friendly, competent staff and sufficiently equipped rooms Noise from very often passing trains
+ Convenient location, spacious rooms. . - Room too hot during summer. "Free" offsite parking was 500m from hotel.
Access to Rhine River and to the village's activities Rooms a little overheated. Car parking arrangements.rely upon parking attendant as little space is available..Awkward access from car park through narrow back stairs to foyer. We booked a double room but were given a twin single. However they fitted us in for a solo Saturday night.
Location was perfect for both Rhine and Rail Station Busy night time rail activity ideal for train spotters beware
View plus the person that checked us in was extremely helpful. He made sure that we were happy with our room before we accepted the room. I highly recommend the hotel and the service. Again, the gentleman that checked us in was extremely helpful. Wonderful views on both sides of the hotel.
This hotel is located in front of railway. Then, so noisy all the day.
The hotel is very conveniently located, clean and pleasant, the breakfast was good, the service was excellent - the staff were very kind and helpful the noise from the passing trains but this goes with the location - the hotel cannot be blamed for it
personal atmosfere and quiet at night
Position of hotel good and central. Clean rooms and breakfast reasonable. Rooms small and thought very expensive for service received. No one on reception after 6pm.
Parking, centrally located and good breakfast Bathroom old
Excellent hotel. Clean, modern and comfortable. The room was a little on the small side but very comfortable.
The people and service - so friendly and helpful. The place - everything so nice and clean. no tea making facilities (as in most German hotels..)
location the wiev from our window in the room
The excellent reception both by the owners (I think so) and empoyées; the breakfast service was very good too. I have nothing to mention against this hotel.
Breakfast was very good, staff very friendly and welcoming Nothing
Food was good + central location
Breakfast is good. There is a lift in the hotel. Room is quite at night. Good recommendation by the staff for a restaurant for dinner. The room has no view. There are stairs in the room to the toilet. No staff around between 7pm to 7am.
No complaints at all about the hotel. We would highly recommend it.
Atmospher, service, room cleanliness, location
A real "find" - very welcoming hotel with great staff, very comfortable rooms and really good quality food and service in the restaurant.Loved the duck theme and also the small pottery duck given to me at dinner. Can't think of anything other than I was there for just one night this trip.
Rooms were clean and very comfortable, area is quiet and no disturbance, excellent restaurant, easy and close car parking, very close to Drosselgasse and perfect location for visiting the Christmas markets! Would definitely stay at this hotel again!
The owner was so friendly and helpful
This is a very nice hotel. It's loaded with duck statuary which was a big topic of conversation. Our room was nicely appointed and quiet. The staff was friendly and breakfast was excellent.
The location was perfect to the event we were visiting, near the downtown square and one block off a main road. Parking in the garage was tight, which is typical in Europe, but we managed adequately enough.
generous and clean room; staff provided extra requested service promptly dining wing "Entenstube" reflects strange mindset: it glorifies cuddly ducks ad nauseam, but has them also on the menu
The hotel is family run, and you are made very welcome. I have enjoyed the Hotel so much that I have been returning on many occasions since 1986.
Courtesy of staff, style of rooms, riverside location, breakfast overlooking the Rhine, opportunity to walk though the vineyards on Hoellenberg the poor mark for comfort reflects dim bedside lights - so dim as to make reading in bed impossible. I did draw this to the attention of the hotel on check-out
The hotel staff was very kind. We arrive late when the kitchen was closing but they could offer us some salads and fish. The environment is nice and the decoration classic with old furniture.
The building. The sumptuous furnishings. The decor. The rooms. The food. The dining experience. The breakfast. The dining room staff. The price. The free parking behind hotel. The collection of historic photos on the walls. The reception staff. No help with luggage. Not told of the elevator. Not shown room. I have already written re these points to the hotel but they did not detract from the enjoyable stay. Smoking is allowed in the semi enclosed terrace, thereby denying it to non-smokers. When I ticked the "excellent" for staff, I was specifically referring to the dining room. Very noisy railway is only forty yards away.
Surroundings are magnificant, hotel have great atmosphere, the "wine- lady" was more than excellent. The train almost running through your room every 10 minutes, the old man at the restaurant was ironic beyond friendly, the food was ok but very German.
Very nice food/dinner and good view at Hotel restaurant. Room temperature was too hot and could not adjust it by my self
We were delighted with your historic hotel.... our room was beautiful and well appointed. Our meal in your restaurant was world-class gourmet... truly a culinary experience of the highest quality. The cleanliness of the room could be improved.... stained carpet and abundant spider webs inside the top windows.... not up to the standard of a hotel of your quality.
Amazing rooms!!! Great value for money. The breakfast buffet was rather poor. though the staff ready to offer better range on request
Traveled in Europe for 21 days, this was the best Hotel that we stayed in. The staff was beyond excellent, I would say Perfect! The suite was incredible. The Chef in the restaurant was a Master, the best dining experience we had on the trip. The wait staff in the restaurant was excellent. a very special thanks to Herr Boris, we arrived a day before our reservation and he found a way to let us stay that extra day. If we didnt have plane reservations already we would have stayed several more days. One final note The view of the Rhine river from our balcony was beyond description, I kept telling my wife, "Its good to be a King!" When we go back to Germany we will be staying here again. Not one thing. People made comments about the trains, well its like that at 90% of the hotels along the Rhine. My suggestion is to travel with a sound machine, we do and we slept like babies.
Close proximity to River Tours Train noise at all hours of the night was like staying next to an Airport.
Being offered a better room than first reserved for us. Good service staff prepared with information on the time tables of everything moving and the "weinguts" in the area. The towels had a sour smell - perhaps they were folded before entirely dry?
I normally stay in Wiesbaden when I come to town here but all of the hotels were booked. So this was all I could find. The next time I return to Wiesbaden I will intentionally book at this hotel. It is worth the drive at the end of the day. The personnel were friendly and the laid back atmosphere was wonderful. If you can't relax and get rest here you can't relax anywhere. The gardens were excellent but I didn't have time to enjoy them. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was great. It felt like home instead of a chain hotel. Much more personal. I would say that there is no bar or restaurant in the hotel. But then I discovered that just down the street was one of the best Italian restaurants that I have ever been to. And I have been to Italy numerous times.
Friendly hotel in a quiet environment. Spacious room. Bed and furniture reasonable-good. Nice (small) garden. Small indoor pool and sauna. Certainly not a 4 star hotel. Room and bathroom finishing are clearly do-it yourself and 2-3 star at the most. Curtains on a cable (emergency solution?) . Wall / ceiling decoration unfinished. Shower curtain came down and will come down again, unless better fixed. No elevator, only outside (!!) staircase to all 4 levels, absence of restaurant, dated breakfast room.
The care and friendliness of the staff was really good. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We also liked the quiet location very much. No - everything was great.
Friendly and very helpful staff, excellent breakfast buffet, quiet athmosphere, large comfortable rooms, pretty garden
I most like the buffet breakfast and the decoration of the restaurant. I don't like too much stairs to my room. (specially in winter time)
Friendly and helpful staff
Lovely, excellent location and great restaurant Lack of airconditoning
Location, pleasant bar for a meal and drink in the evening. Quite a lot of noise coming from hallway in the evening
Its situation.Comfort and Staff No
good view, large and comfortable room No door to the toilet
This is a charming, comfortable, typical German gasthaus-type hotel along the Rhein River in Assmanshausen (5 km from Ruedesheim). The room was large and very nice with a canopied bed, bath tub and shower, and typical German country furniture. The breakfast which was included was outstanding. We enjoyed this hotel very much. It was hard to find the reception area because there isn't a sign that indicates it. Parking is off the premises, but we didn't have any problem finding a free place to park....though we had a bit of a hike.
As travelers we were delighted with the look of the place both inside and outside. Walking around the town and staying in the hotel gave us a real feeling of the area. The room was clean and comfortable, and everything we expected from the descriptions. Always be aware that most of the small villages in the countryside close for their mid afternoon breaks, so plan your meals accordingly
Everything, lovely bedroom, clean airy nice bathroom and loo Nothing at all, it was lovely
Well situated and friendly staff It is mainly aimed at elderly tourgroups
It is located in the center of town. The parking was free. The breakfast was absolutely excellent. The Hotel has its own restaurant located on the famous main street in Rudesheim. The restaurant is very nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
As there was no pictures of the rooms available I was apprehensive, however to my delight everything was perfect! The hotel staff were super friendly, the room was amazing and the breakfast delicious! Althought we were in Rudesheim off-season; we had a lovely & romantic weekend. I highly recommend Hotel Lindenwirt.
Difficult to get a better location in Rudesheim, food not very good, breakfast not international, nobody spoke to you at breakfast, hotel reception good when asked. Food, very much tourist menu & prepared for the tourist market. But all the restaurants were much the same.
Great location and value! This is the place to stay in Rudesheim!
Very noisy rooms towards Drosselgasse. The loud music from the open garden under the window stopped 4.15 in the morning..
I loved this hotel. Great location, great building, great staff
Location, Facility...... There is great room for improvement on the response for the inquiry from customers. I e-mailed the hotel to inquire the walking direction from the train station to the hotel as I arrived very late. I emailed several times and fianlly made phone calls for three times one day before my departure. They agreed to reply to me but I never received any response.
We had a lovely relaxing 1 night stay in Hotel Lindenwirt and enjoyed a lovely meal in the town. Lovely location with lots of shops.
The hotel was not super modern, but very comfortable. As we went in December we appreciated how warm and cosy it was and the bed was the most comfortable we have slept in.We did not realise we were speaking to the owner. he was very helpful and friendly. As a purely personal choice I do like ultra modern but the comfort of the Lindenwirt far outweighed this
Good location; hub of activity in Rudesheim. Great restaurant and beer garden.
The restaurant was very good for evening meal with great ambiance. The breakfast was not restocked and there was poor choice for people who came after 9am.
very friendly and helpful staff, great room overlooking rhine, good breakfast and lovely hotel
The staff was soo nice and helpful. The rooms were really spacious and clean. The food at the restaurant was excellent, I especially liked the kurbiscremesuppe. This is typical of European hotels and restaurants, but it was just too hot in the public areas.
This small old European Hotel, had it's charm overlooking the Rhine River. the staff was very friendly, spoke English and was helpful in planning some day trips. The food was excellant and the breakfasts were the best we had during our 18 day stay in Germany. The room was large, the bed was firm and the bathroom was excellant for this type of hotel.
All hotel staff are ok.
Nice location with terras and view over the river. Free parking. Enthusiastic reception. Fair prices for heavy and plenty local food. Redecorated rooms in old fashion Hotel Air circulation was poor, by open (double glass) window noice of traffic, train and ships.
The location of the hotel is very good, although it took us a while to discover how to cross the Rhine. The staff were friendly and efficient. The welcome from Felix could not have been better. It was a pleasant, comfortable stay.
On our arrival the desk clerk accompanied us out to our car, took our luggage up to our room and then parkd our car in the hotel parking lot. He then had us check out our room before we checked in. Everything was a-okay.
Marco was exceptionally helpful at the front desk. Hotel had a great location-room view of the river was excellent..
The welcoming, friendly & helpful owners/staff The food was superb. The room big & comfortable
Upon check-in we were greeted by a very nice gentleman who helped us take our luggage up to our beautifully decorated traditional German room. The hotel is very quaint and has a lot of charm.
Convenient location. Clean, comfortable rooms. They allowed us to check in early, which was nice. By the way, some reviews complained about the noise. Retrospectively, I think I managed to hear the trains twice when I stood near the (closed) window, but I thought it was just background noise, and it had no impact to my stay. Also, if you're concerned about road noise (which again was not an issue), try asking for a quiet room like I did. For example, 211-213 and 218-219 are off the road based on the emergency exit map, so should be quieter. Staff were friendly but also looked after the restaurant, so were sometimes distracted. Also, the hotel had the feel of a regional/country hotel, so lacked the polish/professionalism/services of a city hotel. Neither of these were material issues, and I would definitely stay again for a leisure trip.
The staff was very friendly and accomodatiiong. The location was excellent for our purpose. Parking was provided. As expected, the Hotel closes in the evening and stays locked until about 7:00 in the morning which can bring inconvenience along and it is a must to take the room key along. There is only one key available per room.
Two floors so kids had their own room. Nice breakfast.
Situated in the centre of town in easy reach of shops, bars etc. Good parking facilities though there is a small charge. Comfortable and clean, would stay there again.
Nice room, clean, nice breakfast, friendly staff A bit expensive for what it offers
great staff, very helpful
staff very friendly and helpful on a noisy street, sat night woken up at 1am 2am 3am 4am, "scottish pub" is on other side of the street, i ordered a smoking, double room with bath and got a smoking, twin room with shower.
Typical European hotel, very clean and the staff can speak English. Plan to park in a pay lot and there are two very close by for 9 Euro a day. Typical continental breakfast was very good. We have stayed there twice now and would stay again. Only a one minute walk to the shopping area and the Christmas market is excellent as are the usual shops. Excellent restaurants are nearby once again easily within walking distance. Bar across the street can get loud on occasion.
The hotel was close to shopping, boat trips and numerous restaurants. The restaurant and staff were very gracious. Would have been nice to have shampoo and adapters for the American electric plugs.
Very Friendly Staff,very helpfull.
The room was a good size, extremely clean and warm and the bathroom had a good hot shower. Also the location was perfect for our stay.
We liked the location - very central and close to the Rhine cruises. Easy to walk into the small town.Comfortable room and easy parking in their car park.A good place to explore the Rhine. Great transport links if you need them.Friendly people as well. The trains run all night so it was great to be a little way away from the river to avoid being disturbed by the noise. You can easily spend a day in Rudesheim, but then there are lots of other places round about to visit. The Rhine cruises are very good if you like that sort of thing. A very beatiful area of Germany with many excellent castles to explore. The local wine is also worth the trip as it isn't that easy to find in other places. It wasn't worth paying extra for the balcony - too small and just a view of a street. Some of the breakfast food wasn't very fresh (to be precise, the orange juice had gone off and the scrambled agg tasted of fish, but perhaps we were just unlucky and I am sure the hotelier would have put this right had we had the time to discuss this at the time, but we had a Rhine cruise nto catch). The area seems to be catering for/attracting mostly older people - not many young people in the area, but this didn't bother us.
very nice breakfast, excellent location in center of city...located one block from trains....critical during hot weather when the windows are open...hotels located facing the train line (along the Rhine river) are very noisy
The restaurant was excellent. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. At check out they helped me use their computer to access online checkin and print my boarding passes for Lufthansa. This was very helpful and more secure than using the internet cafe around the corner. We booked a balcony room which did give us an outside room and a view of the Rhine but the outside room was also street noisy and I would probably avoid this in future. There was also a lot of elevator and water flushing noise in this room due to it being on the first floor.
Very quiet, far enough from the train line that cross the whole town. Good located, good breakfast and very nice staff. I do recommend this hotel and intend to come back in the next vacation.
Excellent food The parking facilities
it was easy walking distance from the KD Rhein Dock, almost mid town, 3 small blocks from the Famous DrosselGasse street.
Good location. Lots of clean towels. No shower curtains.
staff was very helpful; good location for christmas market
Easy to get to. The Hotel is close to the railway so it is a bit loud.
It was nice until we found out that the bar below had a heavy metal band. Needless to say we did not go to bed until closing time of the bar.
Helpful staff, great views, location with restaurants and amenities within easy walking distance.Value for the money. Small parking area, but all of the hotels in this area had small parking areas.
Very nice and cozy lobby. Room is huge with nice foyer. Sporty yet nostalgic restaurant. Impressive game room opposite the restarurant. Cool seating pre-arrangement for breakfast. The Inn keepers are very accomodating and willing to help. One small thing that marred an otherwsie a pleasant stay. The bathroom's door cannot be shut.
Staff was outstanding! Nothing.
In front of Rhein and just nearby Drossstrass, location is good. No free wifi internet.
Central to most things in Rudeshiem(sp), great staff, and good bar downstairs. A really great place to stay. Only difficutly was some staff had limited English, but then again we are in Germany.
room fine but hotel in general in need of redecorating/ new carpets
NIce room overlooking the Rhein. Hostess very nice and accomadating.
The location was perfect. We could park the car and walk to tons of shopping and restaurants. The staff was super and the breakfast was wonderful. Even though we didn't have a view of the Rhein, the view of the town and vinyards was very beautiful.
