Pros: Staff was welcoming and helpful. Wifi worked well.
Cons: Very far away from the center (30min walk). Hotel did not accept my Canadian visa, so I had to pay cash.
7.0 Good
Cons: Just a little far from train and bus stations, but you can always ask for a taxi, the rest is good.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good restaurant with nice view over sea, nice english speaking personnel, ok for one night when arriving for dinner and leave in the morning, parking

Overview Reviews
A stay at VALUE THE HOTEL Ishinomaki places you in the heart of Isinomaki, within a 5-minute drive of Ishinomori Manga Museum and Ishinomaki Blue Resistance. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was pretty basic and clean. The staff were very helpful, not much English but I can speak enough Japanese to get by. The breakfast was the best feature here.
Cons: The location of the hotel was quite far from where I wanted to go. It takes about 20 or so minutes to walk, but I took a few taxis. Which are quite reasonable. The surrounding area felt gloomy. It was on a main road and there were quite a few industrial places. My room was somewhat claustrophobic and I was unable to open the window.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel! It was clean, easily accessible to the center of town (15 min walk), and had great breakfast.
Cons: N/A -- would stay here again!
7.1 Good
Pros: The hotel is situated a bit outside the city center. However, a base fare cab ride gets you there. The hotel is cute. The staff does not speak a lot of English, but they try to help you wherever they can (like everywhere in Japan). Small room but adequately equipped. The room comes with a traditional Japanese breakfast, which is really good. If you like to start your day off with grilled fish, rice, miso and lots of side-dishes, this is definitely the place to have breakfast for you.
Cons: Like I said, the staff does not speak English well. This could be improved. Especially, when you are advertising on booking.com, and thus focusing on customers from all over the world.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: breakfast is amazing. clean and quiet. lots of energy saving features. super friendly staff.
Cons: for two Americans the bed was a little small but we both slept very well
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean, very quiet, good breakfast, comfortable bed. Lots of very nice perks as well, including snacks upon arriving. Also, I can't understate the quiet. For a budget hotel, I was impressed at how little else I heard.
Cons: The bathrooms are challengingly small. Efficient, but very small. It's also difficult for two people to sleep in the bed, since the person near the wall must climb over their partner. It's great for solos though!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: good breakfast and starts early , good price, supermarket right in front
Cons: lil bit far from station
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing staff and great breakfast, exceptional value for money with a good location.
Cons: No elevator, older style bathroom and decor.
7.5 Good
Pros: Room was well equipped for my expections. We only intended to stay there for one night travel early the next morning to continue with our site seeing. Breakfast was included in the room fare. It was a really good Japanese buffet. English speaking staff was present at the counter.
Cons: Room was too small for two people. Bed and bathroom were very small. Room rate did not match the room cost.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very neat small hotel, great price and for such little money you get yummy breakfast!!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location on the tip of the peninsula is stunning. The road is quite scenic. The manager made sure I got a specially prepared vegetarian meal, which was great. I even got it for free! The atmosphere is typically Japanese and gives you a good insight into the Japanese culture, much better than staying at places for business people or western tourists. The view from the room of the Pacific is also unique. The rooms don't have a private bathroom, but the private onsen is great.
Cons: The road was in bad condition, with lots of branches on the road.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great bath and lovely view of Kinka Island. Good breakfast.
7.5 Good

Cons: But practically nothing around

Pros: Both host and staff are really great and helpful. They sent me to ferry port to Tashirojima in the morning and pick me up in afternoon. Location is not far from train station. Highly recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel owner and staff were so kind and super-friendly. They even welcomed us by showing us the Malaysia flag! (I am Malaysian). The property was so clean and well-furnished!!! 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best in everything for guests, free bike free wifi free massage chairs ...especially the boss drove us to ferry, guide us to ‘cat island ’,then took us back from ferry to JR!!! Thank you boss!!! By the way,English is suited to boss
Cons: No
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was OUTSTANDING. They really really take care of you and go above and beyond. The room was cozy with a big bed, bathroom very clean with all shower necessities provided. The English speaking staff were away on holiday when I was there but we made do with limited English/Japanese. The owner is very kind. I was even offered a ride to the ferry terminal for cat island and they picked me up after I returned and dropped me at the station!
9.0 Excellent
Cons: Really affordable price for a private room with shower. Even offered a beer for welcome drink. Will definately come back
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extremely helpful. Offered to drive me to the ferry to cat island and back. Also drove me back to train station when I left. They also helped me with the laundry. The massaging chairs at the lobby were a great bonus!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the relaxed and casual atmosphere at the Tama hotel. The cats in the hotel created a very warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were exceptional and put a lot of effort into helping me out when I got lost upon returning from Tashirojima.
Cons: Now I come to think of it, the lighting in the restaurant at the Tama hotel was a bit too bright. The use of direct, overhead fluorescent lighting makes a room too bright. A more ambient atmosphere can be obtained from the use of dimmer lighting or indirect lighting. Also, the presence of the television set in the restaurant became a bit annoying after a while.

5.0 Okay
Pros: air conditioned lobby
Cons: the air conditioner in our room was useless and we roasted the whole night
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was wonderful and there is a large shopping center just beside the hotel where you can buy most food and stuffs in cheaper price (than in kombini)
Cons: A shuttle bus from nearest station would be nice
7.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Double room for 2 has 2 toilet and shower room , so nice
Cons: The hotel itself no onsen ( hot spring ) but not a big deal...
6.0 Good
Pros: The hotel provided an eating area and snacks could be bought from a vending machine. The rooms were fine-comfortable and clean and fine for the price. It was certainly value for money but some way out of town next to a retail park; I took a taxi to and from the station
Cons: The nearest restaurant was a short walk alongside a large road to the large retail park next door and then it was 2 or 3 fast food chains which closed at 10pm-not surprising with all the shops closed and the shopping-centre's huge car park empty; I arrived late and unfortunately the reception staff forgot to mention these only (fast food) restaurants are closed at 10pm. I was on foot, having arrived by taxi
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is basic but very clean. Good Japanese breakfast in the morning.
7.9 Good
Pros: Wifi is no good
