Breakfast was abundant. Location is really close to Jaffa gate, so Old City can be reached easily. The hotel serves free tea and cookies in the afternoon. Staff was nice and helpful. Checkout on shabbat is advised to be consulted a day before, we were unfortunately too late to ask for later checkout.
The tidyness has not fully met the expectations (esp. in the bathroom).
The pillows were perfect, the bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were superclean. The parket floor is much better than carpets. The staff at receiption were very friendly and professional.
The decor at receiption and lounge area should be changed. The colour of the walls is too dark, it has a brown tinge to it.The furniture is old fashioned. The whole area downstairs needs to be brightened up.Royal blue, cream etc.
Great location close to the old city, nice rooms, nice lobby area with snacks in the afternoon. Great breakfast.
Nice hotel but don’t book if you need parking. It is ‘parking if available’ and well it wasn’t when we were there. And you don’t want to spend your time in Jerusalem looking for parking. The staff even seemed surprised that I asked for advice on other parking options. If you don’t need parking I would definitely stay again.
I liked the breakfast and the breakfast room at the Eldan Hotel.
The buffet breakfast is excellent with a lot of salad choices and the bread counter is unbeatable. The location is central and easy to commute using local transportation.
My room is 3 floors up next to the garbage collection of the residential building beside the hotel, you can hear strags cats moewing at late nite and people collecting garbage at 6:30 in the morning. The bathroom is so smelly whenever the tiolet is flushed and we had to use incense to cover the smell to use it
With a stay at The Eldan Hotel, you'll be centrally located in Jerusalem, within a 10-minute walk of Jerusalem Great Synagogue and Jaffa Gate. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
