It's a perfect place to stay in Phuket for families with young children. Although they had seven swimmin pools, they are all the same. Each pool should cater to different groups of ppl.. perhaps some waterslides or "gadgets" in the pool for the children to play with?
Royal family: Good standard room with big tv, fridge, micro wave, crockery and cutlery, baby cot, baby trolly. Excellent food at reasonable prices. Massage at good prices. Staff very good. Excellent for children that can manage on their own. Ok work out facilities. Very good childrens club and staff. The "dux" matress isn't that good. Royal family rooms are in the shadow all day. Too load entertainment for childrens ears and if you would like to relax anywhere in the premesis. Full prices are too expencive (we payed appr. Eur 1000/week in Dec 2009)
We had stayed at a Sunwing before and knew what to expect, and were thrilled that we practically had the whole place to ourselves as it was low season. The Thai staff could be a tiny bit better in English but were very friendly and tried very hard.
Excellent Beach side rooms overlooking the sea with very good facilities, breakfast was excellent. A few restaurants inside the hotel serve a variety of good cusine. The minimart inside the premises gives the option to buy everyday essentials at reasonable prices. Seem to specifically cater the Scandanavian tourist and all activities are focussed for guests from this region.
Swimming pool The quality of cooking restaurant
Very modern, clean and comfortable. The seven swimming pools were a hit with the kids. Most kids activities are specifically catered to Scandinavians.
This hotel has expanded significantly since I stayed in the early 2000's; it now appears to be a combination of Sunwing/Best Western and is a sprawling complex of ugly buildings with a very impersonal and perfunctory staff who you never see unless in reception which is the opposite end of the beach/sea entrance! Does not have the charm it used to and I would not likely stay there again. Its impersonal and perfunctory culture and the taxi fare to the airport 600bht which is in contrast to the airport controlled taxi to Kata Beach 750bht for a journey almost twice as long!
Good location (Kamala beach) and nice swimming pool
i stay 1 night then i chaged fast very bad location
I like the most the location of the place, the swimming pools and the access to the beach.....fantastic They are a good restaurants in the rsort and a ;ot of charming restaurant on the beach.....all the needed shops are very closed I warmly recommend this place
Near the beach ,and in very nice erea the hotel over price for Booking.com,when I asked the people staying next rooms ,one from germany told me the price which is less by 30%than the price I got from booking .com and he got it from travel agency in his country, the same thing siad to me on man from England.the hotel charge for every service , like _ ice, shuttle etc.
beach side so many insects and lizards in and around the hotel
Excellent hotel, staff were excellent, location is nice with good beach and restaurants. Good to hire a scooter so you can at out of the resort easily. Sound proofing between rooms was not so good.
the staff was very helpful. They offered many tips abt getting around and where to go. The size of the apt was perfect. Dinner menu was great. They need to install a microwave in the kitchen. Also, breakfast starts a little late so if you are early birds like us, you either have to go out for breakfast or wait till abt 8:30. The selection for breakfast was decent but could be better
