Pros: relaxing and good food
Pros: Very friendly staff and delicious high quality food. The manager upgraded our room since it was hot and checked in us earlier than the check in time. He was very friendly and helpful.
Pros: We loved absolutely everything! From the moment we arrived off the ferry we were treated exceptional well. The accommodation, food, hospitality, location were all out of this world. Karina, Luke and Emma are fantastic hosts and we felt so privileged to stay at the Beach House, it's a secret little gem. We felt like we were overseas on a tropical resort. Hard to believe it's in Auckland. Clear blue waters where we got to see Stingrays and heaps of fish swimming. We will definitely back and would highly recommended going there, especially anyone wanted a beautiful romantic special break away from the hustle and bustle.
Pros: Our room was right by sea and was modern and comfortable. Food and service were exceptional and we loved having breakfast on the deck in the sun the next morning Thoughtful touch of Easter Egg in room on arrival. Sunset was spectacular. Will definitely return - one night was not enough.
Cons: Took 90 mins to get to Vivian Bay on the ferry as so many stops going out so would recommend water taxis instead as direct route only takes 30 mins.
Pros: Breakfast was just OK. Had to ask for things, like any fruit juice, Toast etc.
Cons: The deluxe suite that we paid for was very noisy with kids running around in the room next door.
Pros: Food and service was excellent
Cons: The food, location and staff.
Pros: Everything was beautiful
Pros: Bed comfy
Cons: Chairs quite hard in dining room
Pros: The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed including a nice sun deck with beautiful surrounding vegetation. The staff were so friendly and helpful and really went above and beyond. We also ate and drank so much. Everything was amazing
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like. I wish we could have stayed longer
Pros: The Beach House .... or should I say Karina and Luke deliver what the photographs promise. Karina(is a wonderful chef! whom i expect to see on the Michelin list if she so wishes) and Luke(whose passion for great wines and use of sustainable local produce, compliments Karina perfectly) did everything to make our stay perfect. The apparent ease with which they operate the Beach house in a small island community, has made for very happy neighbours, all of whom were so welcoming it added to the experience. I don't think i've ever relaxed so easily anywhere else. This was just what we needed at the end of 10 days touring New Zealand!
Cons: Having to leave after 3 days of bliss!
Located in Kawau Island, this vacation home is by the ocean and close to Kawau Island and Tawharanui Regional Park. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available 24 hours).
Pros: Amazing location on Kawau Island, if you want a place to get away from it all, this is the place to go. Everything has been thought of at this amazing Lodge. The great taste of the owner from the amazing bed linen/beds to the Nespresso Machine :) Great staff member Marcus working at the lodge. It was good having him around letting us know where everything was and when we needed more beers taking us to the Yacht Club on his boat to stock up :) We stayed in the main lodge, originally were to stay in the cabins, but the weather was a bit to cold for this and there was no communal indoor area. If it was summer this work of been a great place also to stay. Awesome place to bring the family or a romantic holiday away. We will definitely be back !
