Pros: Cosy rooms and air conditioned for the hot weather
Cons: The staff had failed to secure a bench we were sitting on outside which caused myself and my cousin to fall back when we tried to get up. Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable bed, huge TV. Cheap.
Cons: No fruit for breakfast. The cooked breakfast was ok but a better quality sausage would make it better. The decor is very tired - some refurbishment is overdue.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic service and very clean
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was ok
Cons: Thought it was out of date and in need of some modernisation. Not value for money at all. Cant see how it got 4star. Used regular by contractors.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Apart from the location of the hotel, everything was pretty grotty.
Cons: On arrival I couldn’t get anyone to attend Reception. Dogs barked but apparently the bell didn’t work. I waited about 10 minutes with a gentleman in front of me. When it came to my turn to book in I was greeted with ”Yes?”. My ground floor room was actually lower ground floor and the road outside was above ceiling level! The window was tiny for the size of the room and the lights had to be on at all times. The wiring to the overbed lamps was dangerous and faulty in as much as the lamps had to be jiggled to get them to come on and subsequently they turned on and off quite randomly.. The kettle and its base was dirty, the bathroom fittings were rusty. The shower gel container had brown mould on the dispensing section. The bed springs made a sound like an orchestra tuning up. Having seen the state of the facilities in the room I decided to give the breakfast a wide berth. I DID try to complain on the first night but...the bell in Reception wasn’t working!

7.5 Good
Pros: Evening meal fantastic.
Cons: Cheap toilet seat. Streaky bacon on breakfast.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very eager to please...welcoming/chatty. Breakfast and evening meal were very good.
Cons: Room we stayed in was on the small side with no window apart from a very high ceiling Velux-type window which was opened/closed with a long pole. Bathroom was a disaster and would suit children rather than adults. Toilet bowl/cistern was an absurd tight fit for any above-average size adult. Under new ownership/management for 3 months or so - they try hard to please but there's only so much you can do if rooms/bathrooms are just too small. One night stay so we grinned and beared it! The thunder and lightening storm at 3am in the morning keep it an interesting visit to Bronte Country!
