The place is beautiful and breakfast is amazing. The absolutely best part is Mike, he is a superb host. His wife is great as well and the dog is so cute.
Nothing. Just be aware that there is a shared bathroom and that the mattress has a pillow top.
Comfortable and well located. Mike and Barb were great hosts. Hot home cooked breakfast and a home stay experience.
We knew we had made a good choice when we rang the guest house ahead of our visit and were greeted by a friendly, helpful voice at the other end. The accommodation is deep in the countryside but did not prove a challenge for our satnav. It's in a heavily wooded valley; our hosts helpfully told us where to find a good evening meal reasonably near by and in directed us to an interesting 15 minute walk the next morning when we left. The accommodation itself is warm, spacious and homely, I shall long remember the collection of Bristol (cobalt) blue glassware, as well as interesting conversations over an excellent breakfast cooked by the host to order.
From my point of view there was nothing not to like. One of my travelling companions did find the stairs up to the bedroom a bit steep but I should say that the host made every effort to assist by carrying up luggage etc.
The location and the relationship with the owners.
The owners are delightful. Enjoyed a number of hours of good conversation and they were ready to help with every need. The location is private and quiet and the bed was fantastic. The B&B is comfortably appointed in Vermont Country style. The dining room is spectacular with a 180 degree view of beautiful Vermont scenery. Breakfast was hearty, well prepared, and different each day (3 days for me). The destination is good for skiing and I'm sure is delightful during the other seasons. You will enjoy.
