Excelent and quite location. Superb breakfast.
Overall its history and today's atmosphere of this castle.
A beautiful castle with a lot of cosiness - and cheap. The reception offered us at arrival to upgrade to half board for extra 1,50 € per person per night. We saved a lot of money.
Zamek Kliczkow is a castle built in the 13th century which was remodeled around 2000. Sprawling complex with a spa and indoor pool. We were there in winter, so things were really slow and repair work was going on. The restaurant is excellent and inexpensive compared to Western European restaurants, lots of game meats and local foods. Our room was huge and had a nice bathroom. The grounds were beautiful, with tennis courts, playground, and horse stables. The staff was professional, but most people don't make a lot of eye contact or express warmth to strangers, Both reception and restaurant staff spoke English. Close to the Polish pottery town of Boleslaweic.
The castle was in a wonderful woodland setting. Two tennis courts, nice small swimming pool/sauna and bike hire available. Rafting easily arranged by the hotel. Horse riding either in the paddock or through the woods. Fantastic food and service in the restaurant (main courses approx £8 - 14) Good breakfast selection. Ideal family location for active children. Didn't use spa facilities but seemed reasonably priced. Overall cost of facilities was very good e.g. 2 and a half hour rafting for 3 people was £65, 1 hour horse riding £25p.p. Free car parking on site. Lovely courtyard. Most staff spoke a little english and menus translated. Approx 12 km with easy access to Boleslawiec with pretty town square. The interior of the hotel (especially our room) was not furnished to a standard that you may find elsewhere or expect when entering the castle. No safe, iron, bath, adequate hairdryer, mini bar in the room. Limited design and decorative touches. Hotel advised that bathrobes for use in pool area only provided for guests in superior rooms/suites. However, the room was clean. Not much visable tourist info about activities beyond the hotel.
Large, spacious rooms. Beautiful grounds, pool. Excellent breakfast.
room for 3 adults was spacious; warm pool; nice breakfast; pretty setting; car was safe; at checkout, wouldn't accept my Visa check card!
Beautiful castle, lots of sport to do. Nice for young and older kids. Good food. You walk straight into the woods, or horseback riding (and carriage). Good food.
Very poor comfort, cleanes a.t.c..
The food was great as it had been in Poland... When my passport came up missing, and questioned the staff at the Garden, all they could say when asked was did you look in your car.. Was able to go back to the room and housekeping had the room made up quickly and she didn't know anything about it at all. Even though it was in the room when we went out for some shopping. Wouldn't stay here again! Will find someplace else in town..
garden and the style of this hotel breakfast could be a little bit better
Charming rooms and garden. I loved the decor and ambiance. Breakfast was excellent, the rooms were clean and very quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing. Everything was good.
Very friendly and attentive staff. Nice location on the edge of town.
service and interior no
man feels like at home, good breakfast,I could take my dog, which was tolerated even in the dining room There are plenty of old funy objects everywhere, mostly of german origin, and they sometimes do not fit together or are damaged.
cute hotel with many antique furnishings in nice garden setting. clean bathroom. staff were accommodating. no air conditioning. breakfast was somewhat sparse. hotel smelled like cigarette smoke.
It was all just stunning-from the feng shui gardens to the gorgeous plush bedroom and the excellent meal.
The actual garden is nice.An interesting mix of oriental and polish decor. Dinner was delicious. Noise from the Saturday night Barbecue.
from what I could see it looked like the best hotel in the area.Close to pottery shopping. Fine if you dont have kids with you. I have children, I did not feel it was a child friendly place. We paid for the room at the beginnig of our stay because they kept making comments about the price when ever we entered the lobby. My son had an allergic reaction to bedding. so we had to cut the trip short. and of course the would not refund us the last night that we were not there.
The restaurant was great and the food was reasonable priced. Great location for pottery shopping with a few stores well within walking distance.
The breakfast bufette nothing
We would definitely stay again. Very clean and safe. Breakfast was great.
GREat location, breakfast was good, staff was friendly. Thanks.
The atmosphere and helpful assistance. very close to the pottery shopping that the town is noted for and very comfortable, clean facility.
The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel is clean and has really good restaurant. It is close to all the shopping. We enjoyed it.
The staff was great. Friendly and upbeat. The beds were low and for someone who has a hard time getting up from a low point it was difficult.
The hotel staff was very nice, private parking, breakfast and dinner was also very nice. I like a softer bed, but I think thats just europe
It is only two blocks up a hill to The Ceramic Factory. There was a good restaurant attatched to the hotel. It made it really easy for me to be there with my three children. Apparently my daughter would not have normally had to pay since she was three. I had added her to the price of the hotel thinking it was "3 and up", but since I had used booking.com, the hotel said I was obligated for the price I was quoted here. Also, we left a day early, but the hotel charged us anyway since we were obligated using this booking agency.
This is a great hotel for the price. the owners were very willing to help with any questions and offered great advice. I will stay herer again when a return to shop for pottery.
Convenience is the key for us and in the past its ecomony. However rates are slowly rising and it is not the value it once was.
Ideal low-cost stop-over on the Poland-Germany route. The whole family was put up as if we were visiting an old relative. Arriving late was also no problem. Slightly confusing directions to the annex house meant we knocked on the wrong door at midnight...
Very friendly Lukas and his wife (Agnieska) are extremely helpfull and speak English very well. Immediately I felt at home, free coffee or tea was offered. Internet working perfectly from the breakfast room. location was easy to find with gps. restaurant/pub on walking distance.
The staff was very nice. the breakfast was ok too. The location did not seem ideal to me for shopping, is a little out of the way. Also, don't go with big expectations, although is a clean place is rather small and modest.
The hotel was in a great location, not too close to downtown to be hard to drive and park but only two minutes from everything. The room was very large with a good bathroom, and breakfast was good. I was nervous due to the low price, but it was an incredible value for the money.
The friendly welcome from the owners and their knowledge of the local village. The excellent breakfast. The cleanliness of the room.
The hotel was very economical. The individual we dealt with did not speak English but we were able to communicate important information. The breakfast which was included in the price was great. It was difficult to find and when I tried to call them there was no answer.
The couple who ran the hotel were accommadating and very friendly. They made us very comfortable and were helpful giving suggestions on where to eat and shop. The value cannot be beat, the hotel was clean and the included breakfast fantastic. Great stay, we will definately stay there again if we ever return.
