The hotel is clean with a really good location. The room is small but it is the standard in Japan. The interior may look quite old, but it feels well kept and tidy. You can grab amenities for free in front of the reception. The room is small but good enough and worth the price.

The room was very warm and even though the air conditioning worked, the room temperature never reached the intended lower temperature. The room was tiny. The air conditioning can only be in heater mode during late November. The room is very hot if you cannot change the mode. It’s a horrible experience.

Fantastic location! Right in the middle of Kyoto and everything is within a comfortable reach. Close to a bus stop is a big plus for us. The staff was so nice. The staff are very communicative and nice, super friendly, and were always attentive and asked if I needed any help with anything. I really felt at home.

They only clean the rooms once every 3 days. But they do provide fresh towels daily. Not enough coin laundry. The coin laundry was very small, only 2 washers, 2 dryers and 1 that looked like it did both. The dryer didn't really dry the clothes and the hotel stops the dryers from 8pm.
