Pros: "The seat was comfortable, the food was delicious and the aircraft was clean."
Cons: "Boarding was awful. The staff definitely need better training at adapting with the Covid 19 situation. Especially, when it comes to unexpected occurrences regarding test certificates and sudden new regulations. Not everything is always black and white and not everyone has the same capacity to afford rebooking flights or re-testing. Treatment of foreigners in general at the LAX airport, on my flight at least, were unprofessional and inconsiderate. I generally like flying with Japan Airlines but after what I have seen and experienced personally I’m not so sure it is still one of my number one airlines to fly with anymore."

Cons: "There was 2 choices for food either pork or chicken But when I asked for chicken they told us no more chicken Then they took the pork from the tray and I had to eat the rest without the main course. Also all the seats were taken by the people who bought the tickets directly from JAL,but there was few seats left all in the middle for people who purchase tickets from travel agents."
Cons: "Almost missed my flight - they could not locate me as a ticketed passenger"
Pros: "The level of care and attention that was given to my comfort during the flight was extraordinary. Also the economy was much better than any economy i've ever come to expect from other airlines."
Cons: "The boarding I didn't know at first where to go to get to the gate. Having to exit and then re-enter the airport was a pain and further complicated my boarding. But that was not JAL's fault and is on SFO."
Cons: "no 1st class offered. I wanted to use my system wide upgrade but can't get a flight that offers 1st class anymore"
Cons: "The attendants were very pleasant and efficient. I will certainly prefer to fly JAL, especially if you could offer the lower rates. On the down side, it was very difficult to contact their customer service line. However their online help desk was very responsive."
Pros: "I enjoyed everything! My first flight was a little over 10 hours, but it didn't feel that way. I was very comfortable and the crew took very good care of all of the passengers. Japan Airlines is Ichi Ban!!!"

Overall experience is good. Except that the one of the assistant ground attendant during my check in is quite annoying when i asked her only one question, something regading the boardong pass. She should be more helpful and accommodating not arrogant.

Pros: "Logjam Manila traffic, confusion at MNL, late for check in, but staff got me on the plane. Then my suitcase was busted open at Chicago O'Hare on the conveyor belt and ANA issued me a replacement on the spot. Two problems [ not their fault ] handled beautifully. ANA is truly amazing. Thank You !!"

Cons: "The food was pretty mediocre with a small soggy sandwich that I didn't bother to eat. They force you to watch a very long and extremely boring trailer for Disney. You can't turn it off and have to sit through one bugman movie trailer after another."

Pros: "Everything that happened before the FIRST time we boarded the flight and when we finally landed in LA. The movie selection was pretty good since I couldn’t sleep on the flight and it calmed me down. The flight that was originally 7 hours turned into 5"
Cons: "What Irritated me the most about this whole experience was that they waited until everyone had boarded and seated to find a maintenance problem. Credit to them for finding it before takeoff but it should’ve been caught before the plane even left the hangar or when the plane last landed. They said this would be a 15-20 min fix. This was an 8pm flight. 800 became 830, then 9. By 9:00, same problem and I start to wonder if we should switch planes. By 10, they finally tell us that we have to deplane and go to Gate 37 which is on the other side of the terminal. On the way out the flight attendant tells us that we have to hurry up to the other gate because we have to be there by 10:25 to board. I almost wanted to punch him. So we’re there. 10:25 comes and I see the screen turn to 10:40. Around 11, the announcement comes that they’re transferring the food from the other plane to our new plane which further delayed everything. As some kind of compensation, theyleft buckets of snacks and drinks for us prior to boarding as we finally boarded. Finally took off at 12:30. I was so irritated I couldn’t rest on the flight."

We were frustrated about the way they treated us as Star Alliance Gold. No early boarding and we had to argue for priority luggage.
The three hour delay, and the 5 gate changes left us very frustrated along with that was the fact that I was wheel chair reliant and for 3 of the five gate changes I had no assistance or wheel chair. My new knees are hurting miserably. To add injury to all the frustration only after most food places closed did Air Canada offer each of us a whopping $15.00 food voucher. Good only in Canada at a Canadian airport for one year.
The flight boarded on time but took off 45 minutes late. The flight crew was rummaging through the luggage compartment trying to find a suitcase to return to a customer who wasn't able to make it to the boarding gate on time. This seemed like a strange thing to do. I don't understand why the customer's luggage wasn't just sent to their final destination instead of inconveniencing 100 other people on that flight. I was able to make my connecting flight but it was an uncomfortably close near miss!
Lost luggage. Air canada Airport service for luggage claim was awful.
We were “bumped” from our rebooked flight after having a boarding pass and seat assigned. No explanation except that the Air Canada Service rep said that they “f’d up”. This is after a previous 5 hour delay in Amsterdam.
Air Canada cancelled one segment of our flight but did not notify us. Their App allowed us to check-in on only the second leg of the trip but did not show that the first leg was cancelled. When I called customer service to find out about the first leg, that was when I was told that it had been cancelled. We were re-booked to an alternate route which resulted in a 10-hour overnight layover with no accommodation for lodging nor meals.
There were no delays with the flight and check-in was fast and easy.
Great plan and with the two existing being used the off loading was quick! The seats could be a little wider. I am a 32 waist and I found it narrow. As well as the aisles were narrow so much so I had to carry my computer bag!
Air Canada board by zones. I was zone 6 the highest zone, with a window seat... Zones 1-5 boarded before me. Middle seats are zone 5 and aisle seats are zone 4. Made a very annoying boarding experience AKL -> YVR making so many people move. Boarding really needed to be improved. Food was fine but not really enough for a 13+ hour flight and the little "bread" rolls were like rocks. But was fine overall, better than previous meals/snacks Air Canada has served.
I paid for priority but my flight was delayed. They rebooked my flight to other airline. I got an economy seat. Total waste.
Didn't board the flight. The flight was never confirmed by the airline although got the ticket from Chatdeal. Will never book through Chatdeal, rather book through the airlines themselves, customer service although got me othet tickets but ignored my reimbursement requests - closed the ticket without even saying anythjng

Pros: "For all the turbulence that we heard about, the flight was extremely smooth which I attribute to the pilot's skills"
Cons: "We kept on being told that there was going to be turbulence and that it would be too rocky to serve food/drinks - but there was limited turbulence and the flight was very smooth. There was also a delay in leaving as there was an extra bag in hold but they 'couldn't find it'."
