Amazing hotel! The room is clean and comfortable, especially the bed. The dinner is great and better than we all expected. Also the breakfast. Strongly recommend the Champagne happy hour at the cafe and the dinner. Staffs are very very helpful and friendly, we managed to get the specialize menu for some reasons and all the staffs worked very hard to solve our requests. The hotel offers one-way pick-up/ drop-off between hotel and Kyoto station, which is very helpful, especially when there are senior members in the group. One of the best experiences in Japan.
The hot tub in your room.
For a 5 star hotel not worth the expensive rate considering it doesn’t have a spa or swimming pool.
The location is amazing, staff very friendly and attentive and professional. Had a very great experience.
Hotel is very pretty, surrounded with amazing views, and close to the bamboo Grove and. Staff was very nice and helpful. On Wednesdays, they have sake tasting at their coffee house- it was very fun and we enjoyed there from the food. Rooms were big and we felt like royalties in our private onsen.
I got dissapointed with the breakfast, i ordered an omelet and it came very raw, I asked to cook it a bit more and they gave me the same one...only on the third try it was ok. The coffee wasn't tasty enough, looks like it wasn't made out of barista machine. In general, for a 5 star luxury hotel, the breakfast isn't good enought.
the hotel is located on the banks of a river and close to shopping streets and temples
the coffee shop staff at the hotel entrance was really unpleasant. He initially refused to serve us inside the cafe while it was horribly hot on the terrace that was not in the shade. It was necessary to insist on being inside and after the intervention of the hotel reception staff
