The family was amazing, the breakfast was fantastic, the inn was excellent, the onsen was very nice.
Traditional and beautiful Ryokan. The owners were so sweet and professional. I highly recommend this place!
The owners are so friendly. They talk you through everything on arrival to help you feel at home. They also got a map out to mark our location, the temples and restaurants they recommend. Their ryokan is immaculate and very good value for money. We couldn't have been happier. They really look after you. The bath is excellent and the breakfast is delicious.
There was nothing we didn't like. This place is amazing
This small Ryokan-style house is the sh** in case you're prepared for a true Japanese experience including - futon beds, - a shared Onsen-like bathroom, - local breakfast (believe me, it IS different), - and a landlady who will smilingly make clear that her house rules will not be questioned. We loved every second of it. And if we hadn't spent these three nights at Yadoya Kikokuso our Japan trip wouldn't have been complete. Arigato gozaimashita, guys!
Really fantastic hosts who care about their ryokan and their guests. We were able to communicate with them in English quite easily. The facilities are fantastic and the room is very comfortable. They have a bath that you can reserve each day that was very relaxing; (the shower is in the same space and the two are reserved together). We also opted for the breakfast which was healthy and delicious. Location was great as well; 10 minutes from Kyoto station.
Not a big deal but you have to schedule your baths/showers in advance as the ryokan arranges the bath for each guest! Overall a great stay.
