We liked everything about this hotel but it's proximity to the airport and the staff are superb. No fre wifi in the rooms and $15 a day is a rip off. (it's free in the lobby however)
Very convenient hotel. Walked downstairs to check in luggage and then went back up and rested for a while. Great staff!!! Everything was enjoyable.
Great service. Gave my daughter a birthday sendoff just prior to our flight. Very clean, lots of natural light, Bijou had decent wine list and menu. Will stay here again. Much better quality and value than Sheraton montreal airport.
Very pleasant and helpful checkin staff. Not that easy to find from airport. Suggest change signage from "Hotel" to "Marriott Hotel". Also, no elevator from mezzanine to hotel lobby, and escalator not best for bulky baggage.
Best think was the closeness after getting off a transatlantic flight Nothing it was great. Wish I had longer in the hotel to enjoy it fully
Location within the terminal, size of rooms, Modern decor nicely balanced, Dining room was agreable and the menu was interesting giving the entire family the opportunity to enjnoy a fine meal Privacy of the bathroom, airplane and truck noise coujld have been more discreetDuring the construction of the airport roads it wojuld have been nise to have appropriate temporary signs
Location, cleanliness, convenience Additional fees e.g City Taxes, Parking charges
Located at the airport Everything was clean except the room service table , it's dirty under it, legs and Wheals at fealty
The comfort of the rooms and accessible location. Nothing.
I liked the grounds surrounding the hotel and the various walkways.i appreciated the swimming pool. I was disapointed that I could not eat in the dining room since we only brought casual clothes.
we had a great time staying there. Friend swere married there and we decided to stay the night. The rooms were great beds extremely comfortable and we stayed for the Brunch the next morning. It an amazing spread!
The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I did not stay long enough to evaluate any amenities. A few minor items in disrepair in the room--clock radio volume control not working, coffee pot had wrong pot for the unit (cause an overflow) and a bedside lamp was burned out.
The best hotel I have ever stayed at, and would definately do so again.
Pool was beautiful and open early. Room was great. Hot tub did not circulate. Not enough variety on the menu and too expensive for what was included with the all inclusive. What would teenagers or children be able to order if they don't like seafood or octapus?
Loved the rooms, very clean and roomy. The pool was great, had everything needed for children. The restaurant was nice, the food was good. All the people who worked there was wonderful.
Quiet. Out of town. Lake view.
I love the charm of the hotel. It made for a fantastic romantic weekend getaway. The suites are large and inviting, luxurious and for the price a fantastic find. Why stay at a hotel chain when you can have great service, luxury and class.
The hotel has a relaxing and stylish ambience busy highway
The location was very convenient for our family gathering and the facilities were perfect to occupy young children.
Nothing Bad location. Kitchen but without anything to wash the dishes. Empty kitchen. I give it less than a 1 star. Too expensive for what it is. Ugly.
Price was ok for the size of the apartment and friendly staff. We were given a non-smoker room that reeked of cigarette smell. The apartment is fairly old and it definitely looks and smells like it.
Convenient to Montreal airport. Provides appartment style accommodation eg bedroom, living area, kitchen, bathroom. Good for an overnight stay or for longer stays if wishing to self cater. Plentiful breakfast included in room rate. Very helpful staff. Good for families wanting budget accommodation. Quiet location. Need to be able to manage own lugggage. No lifts -may need to carry luggage up several flights of stairs although staff willing to assist.
The manager is very friendly and helpful. Probably she is doing her best to run the place. I have got a room with new carpet but broken windows, it did not close. Moved in other room with a lot cobwebs in corners and cold water in the kitchen not working. The noise made by planes landing or taking off from the airport half a mile away. Children running on hallways unsupervised at 11 pm. Bad neighborhood: drunk and intoxicated people.
Proximity to YUL, size of condo with 2/1 (1 King and 2 queen beds), comfortable beds, free overnight parking, free airport shuttle, friendly manager, full kitchen, and clean interior of unit were all ideal for our budget. A great value and we would stay again. There was a hairdryer and the AC was loud but kept the rooms cool and covered the noise from upstairs footsteps). Can hear movement from upper floor, railing on balconies is rusted and loose (I wouldn't let kids on the balcony), there is no elevator, and the kitchen was needing more stocking (4 glasses and no dish soap for washing dishes). If we stayed longer I'm sure the helpful manager would have gotten us what we needed: She was friendly and offered free rides to/from the airport and extra towels if we required them.
The hotel was very close to the airport, yet quiet enough to sleep well. The shuttle was very convenient. The breakfast was very good with a variety of foods. The furniture was new and rooms were very clean. The carpets need to be replaced. The air fresheners added a peculiar smell.
Clean and friendly staff. Close to the airport with a free shuttle and parking. Nothing special, but couldn't ask for much more considering the price and proximity to the airport. The rooms are similar to an apartment, hence the name Hotel Apartments. But, we didn't know what to expect. Definitely not a chain hotel. Also, could potentially be noisy due to aircraft taking off, but we didn't notice.
I was incredibly impressed by the kindness and attentiveness of the staff at Hotel Dorval. The warmth and sincerity shown made me feel as though I were a "regular" staying in a small town establishment rather than a new guest at a hotel in metropolitan Montreal. Thank you for everything! I would appreciate clearly defined, enforced "No Smoking" guidelines. Perhaps instead of just encouraging guests to refrain from smoking, certain floors could be designated as Smoking and Non-Smoking. I have a number of allergies and have a great deal of difficulty sleeping in or near a room where someone is smoking or has smoked.
Basic but the rooms were clean, with clean bedsheets & towels for everyone, comfortable beds too.On the whole nice experience, would surely recommend. Breakfast ok, but no variety
It is close to the airport. It is basically a 1 bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, living room. It was clean, and everything worked. The air conditioning unit in the window was not attached completely and rattle a little bit.
You can stay up to a few people i have 5 in my room. I came there, the apt hotel was clean but there was no heat and the wind blown into the room, very cold.
Quiet environment and friendly hotel staff. Short walking distance to shopping center. None
The location was good for the purposes of my trip and close to the main highway. The breakfast buffet selection was excellent. The room was barely adequate, being in need of renovation.
The quitness of the hotel, the good treatment by the staff as well as the other hotel facilities in adition to the room, resturants, pool,...,etc.
not much- they required pre payment plus 100% deposit. they gave me a stinky room. after I complained they gave me a remodeled room "free upgrade" .This hotel needs some help. simple changes could dramaticlly improve it. see above
Smokey rooms. Keys don't work. Looks nice, but management does not have an passable level of English.
Breakfast buffet was as good as 4 star hotel's. Cost was about $20 for our family of 5. Location
Very convenient for the purpose of the trip. I had some business at the west end of town. The staff were very helpful on providing instructions on how to get to the Metro and public transit. The bathtub plug didn't work.
Big Room, Smart TV, Friendly Staff, Nice Bar/Restaurant, Wired Internet available. I loved the Shower with over head faucet. Wireless was Very Slow (like a few min just to load an email), but that could also be cause i was in a corner room. but luckily i brought an Ethernet cable with me and was able to plug in, after which even streaming video worked fine.
Family room setting Bit of noise from Highway
Room was spacious and very good Restaurant was poor. Transfer from airport via hotel shuttle took over an hour with a 50 minute wait for the shuttle
The bedroom with separate sitting area was great. Room was well equipt and clean. Also pet friendly.
I liked the room, was very nice for the price. The location was also good, being right outside the city. It was a little confusing getting into the hotel lot from Transcanadienne Est or Rue St Jean - had to go down a small service road (Avenue Holiday) which has construction on it at the moment.
Close to mall, restaurants & grocery store. Room was well equipped with fridge, stove and seperate living area. Great for a family with kids but unfortunate there is no pool. Food at restaurant in lobby was good and well priced. Overall good experience but beware when booking that you read the fine print, they do not include the tax even though it say final booking price at. No pool
large room with separate bedroom - ideal for travelling with older children. restaurant on site and kitchen open unitl 10 pm
Well located and accessible by major highway. Rooms are large and nicely appointed.
room was large and extremely clean. restaurant and bar service was poor. Sometimes we walked in and no staff could be found.
The bed was a double bed advertized as a queen. It was to small and not comfortable! We thought the price was a bit high for what you get. They even added an extra charge for the coffe at the reception! I would maybe recommend woth some warning in advance
Great place. Friendly, helpful proprietor. Recently renovated. The rooms are small but very functional. Quiet location beautiful view of the water. If you are looking to spend time in Montreal it is a bit of a drive.
It has character and the owners are super friendly Water/plumbing smelled a little ...
A very peaceful place on the water yet close to Rt 20 and to St Anne's locks and restaurants. Owners are dedicated to keeping the motel to the highest standards and obviously enjoy meeting guests from around the world. Very kind and accommodating.
Close to my corporate function
Front desk gave us paperwork in French - which they then printed in English.
Very clean and the staff were very nice. Enjoyed our shopping weekend at the Fairview Mall which was very close to the hotel.
The new look is beautiful. Pillows are great. Comfortable beds. Nice look to to room and loved the hidden fridge and microwave. Bathroom fan sounded like an airplane landing. Exterior door to parking lot did not lock.
The iron on the room, the shuttle to the airport No elevator,no wardrobe,"continental"breakfast from african "continent" in small room full of people, you have to get up early if you want to have breakfast.
Good location, good value, clean and quiet. Room was a bit run-down, bed not particularly comfortable.
know what to expect at thiis chain...cleand and friendly
