Cons: Pool with no free access , Noise from other rooms

Cons: Acces at Reception, luggage and parking are poor

Pros: The building is beautiful, with unusual architecture, the rooms are large and the area is relaxing and beautiful to walk around. Good location for visiting La Granja, for hiking and for visiting Segovia.

Cons: This is the second time I've stayed in a Parador and both times they have come up short compared to my expectations. Although the overall buildings/architecture are nice, the attention to detail is really lacking for a 4 star hotel. Sometimes it's design decisions – for example saying on the signage 'Rooms 320-330 to the right' and 'Rooms 321-331 to the left' doesn't make any sense! Either renumber the rooms so they are in numerical order, or make it clear that odds are on one side of the hotel, and evens on the other. The room was comfortable but again.. the details... The bed was made in a way that you could see a plastic mattress wrapper sticking out along the length of the whole bed, which didn't really fit in with the sleek room design. The heating was on at night and the thermostat didn't appear to affect it, so it was really hot. There was only one of each drink in the minibar (e.g. one beer), even though it was a stay for 2 people. And there was no air extraction from the bathroom – in fact the only thing we could see was what appears to be a ventilation grate the leads on to the bedroom, so any smells were pumped through to the sleeping area (not sure on that though). Finally the staff... We had a poor experience with the receptionist and restaurant. We got back at 10pm to the hotel on a Sunday, there was no shop open nearby, so we wanted to order some drinks and a dessert on room service. The room service menu in the hotel said 'Saturday and Sunday 24 hours' so I called reception, who informed me that the kitchen was closed and did not offer to bring any drinks, even. She told me that 'Sunday 24 hours' was not applicable because this was Sunday night (what?!) and that meant it was Monday (what?!) and I just gave up and put the phone down. Then I checked the menu and it also said Monday to Friday it was open until 11pm. So whatever way you cut it, the kitchen had closed early.

Pros: The room was big and very well equipped

Cons: Employees don't speak English, or even a word! At least the hotel staff must try to let the guests understand. How can employees work in a hotel without knowing any English?

Pros: We were in this city during the week, it was calm, we went by foot to the restaurant next to the hostal, it was very good We were in Segovia 2 weeks before, it was very touristic, we ate lunch there, expensive and no service, but we prefer to go to eat at La Granja, more relaxed after a visit Segovia.

Cons: We had difficulty to find the adress of the hostal as: Calle de Murillo, La Granja de San Ildefonso, Spain Easy to find the hostal adress as: Calle Embajadores 3, La Granja, Spain

Pros: exceptional value - very clean, easy parking, good shower, nice amenities, beautiful town, very close to Segovia. would stay here again and again.

Cons: it was february and very hard to find a restaurant open on a Sunday evening or Monday.

Pros: Spotless, value for money

Cons: Very difficult to find, smoke detector flashed like a lighthouse right above bed all night, no kettle coffee etc , breakfast served in another premises not mentioned when booking between 0915 and 1030 so we missed it due to early travel.

Pros: Location in centre near to everything. Arrived late but staff came almost immediately. Got parking at the front door! Free parking on street. Lift to different levels. Room and bathroom were spotless and bed was very comfortable. Staff very helpful. Breakfast at different location nearby but it was fine and waitress was lovely.

Cons: Can't complain.

Pros: We had 2 large rooms.

Cons: Upon checking in the reception was closed. They left a message in Spanish language to call the receptionist who speaks Spanish only. Very old furniture.

Pros: The room was fine, only the emergency light was hanging by a thread. The walls were a little scuffed. The bed was very comfortable. Shower had great water pressure.

Cons: Thin walls, can hear everything in the hallways and upstairs or neighbooring rooms.

Pros: The beds were extremely comfortable and room temperature easy to control. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Good location not far from Segovia but easy and short drive.

Cons: Shower was over the bath so a bit slippery and not easy to control. Minor point really.

Pros: Nice rooms, friendly staff, a bit far from old town Segovia

Pros: We were extremely well looked after by the staff. The hotel was very clean ,well maintained with lots of extrea facilities,games room, gym ect.
