Very welcome, nice room and we had a splendid terrace. No problem to stay one extra night which we enjoy. Small remark the breakfast on the second was served with not fresh viennoiserie.
lovely place where to stay. Rooms with good standard
This place is mainly about the casino. But the hotel is still rather nice, clean and useable - especially for shorter and less demanding stays.
Confortable, quiet, elegant, clean, very nice setting, lovely terrace The fact that the breakfast was served in the room. The breakfast was served on a table with wheels which was not very practical. It was a bit inpersonal although the receptionist was very friendly. The hotel is located in a casino which is their main business.
Excellent location, close to the old city with parking. Spacious good room with superb balcony. corridors and lift somewhat tired in appearance , in need of some renovation. (The casino facilities did not detrimentally affect our use of the establishment as a hotel)
when arriving driving no clear sign to guide to the main entrance
location within center of the city + nearby tranport towards beach and Toulon bad public transport connection with Hyeres airport, room decoration and furniture poor
Our party of 2 adults and 2 young children (7 and 9) arrived rather late after a long day on the road. It was a relief to arrive at a very clean hotel with welcoming and helpful staff. Our room was spacious and the bathroom/shower was great. Breakfast was good too. The location of the hotel is perfect if you are traveling by rail and parking if traveling by car is not a problem. Next to the hotel is a Laundromat, a sidewalk cafe and a charming little (pink) restaurant (La Romana) that serves great pizza and pasta amongst other good dishes. Overall, this is a good hotel and is good value for money.
centrally located opposite the railway station , had a newly refurbished room , excellent roof terrace for breakfast , perfect hotel if you rely on buses and trains and ideal for sightseeing , very helpful hotel staff it is close to the beach but i would not stay here for just a beach holiday , ideal for singles and families but not for families
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The sun terrace was a great hit with the children!
very nice, recently renovated hotel. Very close to Hyères train station (approx. 3min). Quite a walk to the old city centre (ca. 15mins).
Friendliness of staff It was fine - just a bit shabby, eg carpets worn, paintwork needed freshening up. It was nice and clean though.
Good location, nice area despite being close to rail station.
Although hotel is right across from train station, it was very quiet at night. Lovely views from breakfast room. Owner and his wife were very helpful and friendly. Although not ON the beach, you can easily take the bus to mainland or island beaches. The walk up to the old part of the city (which is charming) is about 15 to 20 min - but lots of restaurants, fruit shops, pastry shops, etc, so you are sure not to faint on the way! ;)
Very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was very good
parking hotel vite plein, donc qq difficultés pour se garer
Attracted by comments about recent refreshment. Hotel in reasonable state but carpet seems forgotten. Chair with sportstains. Initial room had been smoked out and staff readily changed for a more fresh version. Airco will not be switched off
After we woke up in the morning with hundreds of bed bug bites, there was nothing I liked about the hotel. The manager was nice, although did not act suprised at all when we showed him our bites. We did not pay for our nights stay, and I would never stay at another Mercure hotel.
The service by the Staff. Thanks to Aurelie especially.
The location meant it was easy to get to and from the old town centre and also cose to the bus station for the Airport I thought the restaurant service was extremely poor. slow and unappreciative.
Location and ease of use, walking distance to town center restaurants and bars, next to supermarket and shops Internet poor connection
Nice lobby, close to the old town, parking available. I was not offered a better room considering it was my honeymoon, and was assigned a view of the parking lot instead of a view on the pool (at a minimum). Internet service was not functioning.
The location of the hotel was excellent as it was right in the centre of Le Lavandou. The owners of the hotel were very helpful and friendly. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice, although when we ordered coffee late in the evening they did not charge us for it.
located right on the promenarde with godd restraunts nearby.
Terrific staff and wonderrful facilities. Right across from the beach and next to the town hall. Easy to get to everything in town and along the beach. No
Close to the beach and in the middle of the resort, helpful manager. no parking.
It is well placed in Le Lavandou, convenient for beach, shops, cafes and restaurants. Pleasant to sit and watch the world go by with an Earl Grey. Being disabled, the flight of stairs to the reception (which is where the lift starts from) was somewhat daunting. Parking for the car was difficult and meant a long walk (for a disabled person). The shower room was verging on dangerous. A serious fall in there and the door could not be opened from the outside, it would have to be removed from the hinges.
Fantastic stay. Close to beach and plenty of restaurants to choice from. Close to other major cities and towns. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pleasant stay.
Close to a great beach, and plenty of excellent restaurants. Staff made it very pleasant, and English speaking staff was excellent. They were very helpful. The reception area had a great ambience and excellent views of the plaza below and Mediterrean right across the plaza. Had to park on the street near the hotel. Made me a bit nervous, but had no problems finding a parking spot and leaving the car for 2 days. Hotel is on a plaza, so is land-locked. You can pull into the plaza with a remote you can pick up at the front desk. This made it easier. Entrance was below reception. There was no lift until you were at the reception level, however I had help with getting my baggage into the hotel.
The hotel was in a very good location. The owners were polite and helpful. We thought that it was a shame that the owners were not available after 10pm, so new visitors who arrived after that time were given a code to enter side door and so were not greeted on arrival. Room keys were left on table near side door. This did not apply to us as we arrived in afternoon. Also we felt that the bar should be open in evening so after eaing out, it would be a good thing to be able to have a coffee or nightcap before retiring.
The owners of this hotel were so accomodating and pleasant. They went to great lengths to take care of their guests and keep their hotel in great condition. Excellent location along the coast and the rooms are comfortable and a good size. Breakfast at the hotel was worth the cost. This sea town is one of the nicest along the coast. The nearby village town of Bormes-les-Mirmosas is a must to visit.
close to beach room no 9, view to a backyard
THe Hotel offers good accommodation in beautiful surroundings
Excellent spot if you arrive late in the evening at hyeres airport and dont want to travel further in the dark...its only 5 minutes away The place is crowded with elderly - old age public, you got the feel you are staying in an retirement home (though of course nothing wrong with the elderly)
The hotel was in a beautiful situation and offered good meals and facilities. The clientele was largely older french couples during our stay. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Meals offered were of a good quality
Easy access and parking , well positionned with seaview for some rooms , breakfast buffett fresh and tasty. Personnel is nice. They managed to provide us a seaview room with balcony. It's more a house for retired and disabled people ! As active visitors you get quickly depressed by the "sanatorium" atmosphere. It's a pitty because the hotel position is great.
Hotel heavily children focused (they seemed to be doing a good job of keeping the kids entertained), very helpful staff, although bar facilities limited. Would not recommend for a couple on their own. A great location. There were no comfortable seating/relaxing areas to return for a “night cap” or sit during the day. Rooms also very economical on space; whilst clean, now becoming very dated.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful
Everything. The staff, the namnagement, the location, the absolute stunning view from the room at sunrise. I am a well-seasoned traveller and this was my best choice ever! Not a single thing.
The presence of the beach with seats and umbrellas. The WiFi connection No satellite TV
Good quiet location with own private beach area, yet also within walking distance of local attractions and restaurants.
Very kind and helpful staff and patron. Just next to the beach and very close to the harbor with all restaurants. The quadrupole ground floor room should be more specified. My rocommendation is to ask for seaview room
pool was broken
too expensive for what it is, pool is too far away via a steep slope, staff could do with a customer services training
The very helpful & friendly staff and the location of the hotel immediately by the old town area. We could walk to a number of restaurants & the interesting parts of old Grasse. I would not recommend taking the breakfast. For the same price one could easily walk across the road & buy breakfast for the same price at a pleasant cafe with better choice.
charm, convenience, location, price no free breakfast
The hotel was well situated for the Vielle Ville and also for the bus station. It was quiet and clean. The shower in the bathroom was on the small side.
Very nice city around this hotel. We would like to stay there maybe one more time. There is no parking for the ones staying in hotel.
Lovely old building, the pictures of the exterior is definitely not missleading! Good location with nice surroundings. Small but clean rooms. We had a very nice view of the city from our room. The staff was not available very often and at one instance we weren't offered much help when we asked the staff for a good restaurant. The hotel parking is extremly steep and it was very difficult to park.
Proximity to the medieval city Rooms were tiny which did not appear from the hotel particulars. Very noisy 'partygoers' in streets outside the hotel.
Central location Difficult access (on a steep rise)
Location; virw from window
Beutiful building with a great view over the town.
Very quiet. It's so far away from downtown... It's one full hour walking (quite fast) or 40 minutes by bus. It's not located at 5 minutes from center, but 5 minutes from airport!
