Great view, so-so service
If you get one of those units facing Lake Hawea, the view is stunning. Bear in mind all units look out to a 2-lane road before the lake.
I think the property is under staffed. House keeping could be better.
The hotel photos and description did not indicate that the room we were booking was more of a room in a hostel. The back building of the hotel has dorm like rooms and double rooms that were extremely small. The bathrooms were shared and not very clean. This was probably the scariest place I've ever stayed at.
With a stay at Hawea Hotel in Lake Hawea, you'll be on a lake, within a 10-minute drive of Lake Hawea and Mount Iron Lookout. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
