It was to far fro he strip
I like that this hotel is off the strip and offers a retreat from the vegas crazy if you so desire. It has a nice quiet, but still close enough to enjoy a vegas night if you so desire. I also enjoyed the pool, it was small, but very relaxing, great atmosphere, nice amount of chairs without having to buy a cabana, and the bar and wait staff were attentive enough without being annoying.
I have stayed in this hotel on 2 other occasions and had an excellent time and come back raving to friends. This last trip was extremely disappointing. First the wait to check-in was less than ideal since they only had one person working the front desk. Soon another staff member came, so i'll give them credit for realizing an issue and addressing it. The next issue was that the room we were assigned smelled like wet dog, very strongly. The bell man even came into the room and noticed the smell and said he would hold onto our bags until we got a new room. I called the front desk to request a room change, which didn't seem like it would be an issue as we arrived early enough in the day. They said they would call us back and it took about 20min for them to call back and state that they had no other rooms they could possibly move us to, but they would send housekeeping to freshen up the room. So we wait for housekeeping to come and work a miracle. After about 20minutes we call to inquire when they would be arriving, they say right away and we wait another 15min for someone to arrive. When housekeeping arrived they had a watered down bottle of febreeze that they sprayed around the room. This is what housekeeping told us it was, "a watered down bottle of febreeze." Needless to say this did not fix the issue. The housekeeping guy even said it smelled and we should ask for a new room. I call down again to the front desk and share that the room still smells and that housekeeping even said that it did after he used the febreeze. The woman from the front desk then put me on hold for about 10 minutes, when she returned she said that she checked what i said with housekeeping and now they would move us to another room. I am sorry i found this so insulting. So basically they did have a room to move us to initially but instead lied and said they didn't. I would have been less upset if they initially said hey let us try to fix the problem first before we move you to another room, the fact that they lied and then felt the need to fact check what I was saying was absurd. So then we wait another 45minutes to actually get moved to a new room. This was because they didn't seem to know who was doing what, we had to call the front desk again to follow-up, then wait for another call from the front desk in which they said that the bell man would bring up our new key and our bags. So we continue waiting and finally the bell man arrives with our keys...but no bags. I share with him that we were told he would have our bags too and he said he didn't know anything about that, so we call again and finally our bags arrive. The next thing that was not ideal was the ability to get a taxi. We soon learned that we needed to plan to leave an hour to an hour and a half early to go anywhere on the strip. I even attempted to call valet before we got down there to see if we could ensure a taxi was down there when we came down, but no one ever answered the phone.
Great front desk staff, room, amenities, parking was easy. Cafe 6 was good with great wait staff.
The room and view were gorgeous. We loved the shower and bathtub. Great for a romantic stay.
It wasn't as clean as it could have been. It didn't look like they took much care to make it spotless.
I love the luxury style room!!
I HATED that the pool closed at 6pm. The sun wasn't down yet and we had to get out. Huge dissapointment! And also the cleanly Ness of the room. Wasn't vacuumed dusted or swept And the worst part that kind of ruined my birthday is the fact that I couldn't go on the balcony! There was a door there to go out but it was locked for security purposes. Why have it there if you can't go out.
- Nice room size - Friendly front desk staff - Friendly and inviting casino staff (@ 24/7 cafe, roulette tables, cage/cashiers)
- Obvious milky shite stains on bed shams upon arrival - Bathroom grout and seals need a good cleaning with a clorox pen and a scrub brush to address mold and mildew - Balcony inaccessible as doors are locked for "safety reasons" - Housekeeping is la de da about their duties to change sheets, leave behind fresh towels, clean glasses and mugs and otherwise provide a baseline level of service - Furniture shows signs of wear (scratches, dents, smudges) - Kitchens useless as no plates, flatware, pots or pans located in the room - Glasses and mugs replaced in cabinet dirty and showing stains - Multiple complaints to housekeeping and front desk go unaddressed - Shuttle is impossible as it only accommodates 13 guests at a time (3 towers full of rooms at the resort - there are more than 13 people any given floor of either tower) and only runs from 11am to 8pm, every 30 minutes. Any money you save by lodging off strip will be consumed by cab rides as you will queue up for the shuttle only to be left behind due to too many riders - Outrageous pricing for room service (food+ $5+ delivery fee+18% gratuity!) - $28 resort fee covers slow internet for 12 hours per day or 1 mb, any additional net time for a fee
In the middle of the night on our second night at the Palms, there was no water. When I woke in the morning, there was still no water. It finally showed up, but it was cold. I had an event to attend and the shower water was iced cold. They gave me a $25 credit of the resort fee to compensate, which frankly was a bit off putting. I was also told that I could have used the neighboring hotel's shower for free, but when I had called down to find out about why there was no water and when it would be returned, no one on the phone suggested such a thing. Annoying
There was blank hair all over my suite. Obviously house keeping didn't clean. Including on my towels and in the tub so I called and they said they'd be right up to clean but never came
Great view,1200 sq ft.
A little run down.Hole in furniture,couple cigarette burns,mini bar can't close.Lots of minor damage
I love that the rooms are all suits. They were beautiful, modern, and had great views. The bathroom was nice and the overall layout of the furniture and decor was very nice. The price per night was great!! Free valet parking was a plus. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had a pull out bed in the sofa which was convenient and extra sheets and blankets in the closet.
The comforter has a lipstick stain and the towels had mascara stains. That is pretty gross. We just used the sheets instead. There were strange brown stains on the marble floor in the bathroom. We called for pots and pans and it didn't come for 2 hours until we called again. It is a little far from the strip but for my purposes it was fine. I don't like that there isn't ventilation much so when you cook the whole room retains the smells.
The room was modern and nice. The view was very good. Parking was easy.
"Free" internet is limited to 1 device and 1 MB data / day. This is not sufficient. Our party had three phones and two computers. The front desk staff didn't know where the sheets for the pull out bed were located. We had to wait an hour for housekeeping to come up and get them out of the closet.
Very nice room, comfortable bed and great bathroom.
Everything was very nice - no negatives
$59 a night rate. On site at the Palms Hotel and Casino but not very convenient to walk over to. If you want to drink and party at the Palms and not drive, this could be a good option for you.
$59 for a room at Palm Place? Who can pass that up? Me next time...that's who. I actually upgraded to suite for $74 a night for two. $148 total? No, $216 total after Resort fees??? This is not a resort. This is a condo complex with a sales office on-site. There is a small pool/spa but no restaurant at all except for maybe the bar in the lobby? The resort fee included free internet....kinda. It came with 1mb/sec and if you wanted 5 or more, you had to pay more daily. Bait and switch...Pathetic! Every time I tried to stream anything, I would get dropped. Anyone remember 56k modems? If you're asking why i would complain about a cheap room...here's why. This is marketed as a 4 star establishment. My room was junked. They clearly put the people who get the low rates in trashed rooms, The towel rack was gone leaving holes and peeling wallpaper for me to start at while taking care of my business. Floor molding had fallen off and there was a white stain on the floor next to the bed that I had to cover with a towel because I just couldn't stand to look at it any more. To top it off, my toilet plugged the first time we used it. I called for a plunger and house keeping brought me a blender!!! I kid you not. This was an epic fail
Nice room accomatations. Kitchenette included. Marble floors in the bathroom.
The resort had a very dark ambience, I suppose it was supposed to be swanky. Had to pay for over 12 hrs usage of internet, and it was SLOW. Not really sure what I paid $28 dollar resort fee for. A little inconvenient being 3 blocks from the strip.
most comfy rooms
Rooms were quite nice considering the price Free shuttle to the strip that ran every half hour Good selection of food and gambling available on site Fitness center and spa were just right Staff were friendly Quieter than anything on the strip.
Our entire party had two rooms booked, one room the faucet did not work and the other the shower didnt work. Shower was promptly repaired after bring up the concern, didnt bother about the faucet. Free Shuttle stops early, 8pm. Place like vegas it should run longer. The staff, while friendly, were not entirely up to date. We were misled by two employees on where a restaurant was located only to find out it had been closed for awhile. My only major complaint, while eating at one of their nicer on site restaurants (Simon) we were seated close to the bar, across from what I can only guess was a VIP room. In the room there was a baccalaureate party going on. Which is good and all, but the service members made no effort in trying to keep the members of the party from disrupting other guests. Several occasions party members would come out to the bar screaming at each other. On top of that each time the door to the room open the music from the party would flood the entire restaurant. It may be just me, but if I plan to pay +$100 for a two entree meal with my wife I would prefer the setting to calm and relaxed.
Like the rooms, the property, the casino
Free Internet Sucks 1Mb/sec service. and only for 1 device for 12 hours/day. Hotel offers 5MB/sec and 10Mb/sec for very high price per day. Wifi in room was marginal signal strength. My VZ LTE modem was faster and more reliable.
At the time of booking hotel via Kayak.com resort fee was set at $20 per day, when i got home after the trip and looked at my credit card i realized they charged me $28 per day. Not a good way to do business. Bait and switch practice.
Walking distance to pool & car were close. Good sized room, enjoyed that there was a kitchenette. Great strip view. Our room was very quiet.
Multiple things in the room were very dirty including the carpet windows and all grout in the bathroom. The bathroom smelled like mildew. Rooms seemed like they were amazing when built but they haven't been updated & seemed run down. Most of the furniture and some tile was chipped in our room. The pool at the Palms Place had no seating so we went to the main Palms pool. There are 2 pools, but they would only open the pool that was completely shaded, defeating out purpose of trying to lay out. Overall, we had a fine experience at the Palms Place, but most likely would not stay here again.
Can't use the facility if pay the deposit with cash.
Room was nice enough. Good bed.
Balconies are locked. NO RESTAURANT IN THE MORNING. A bit more like a condo complex than a hotel.
The rooms are nice, clean and well designed. It's a decent location and i enjoyed my stay.
My only complaint was on the day before I checked out, I went to go take a swim and the pool was closed 20 minutes early. The towel boy looked over at me behind the locked double glass doors then ignored me, even though there were still guests on the other side that had just arrived. I went to the concierge and they weren't as helpful as they could have been. I could have made a fuss (I am a quiet multi-millionaire with a background in world travel) but I just decided to let it go, maybe it was a private party.
Spacious room, quiet.
We had to wait for 5 hours to change our room because the first room that we were given was in a bad condition: TV and lamp were not working, the carpet on the floor was almost destroyed, the tables were scratched and everything just felt so old. The lobby and the halls were very very dark and depressing. The elevators were dirty. On the second day the administration charged us for two items from the mini bar that we did not actually take. Later they removed them from our check, but still it was not nice. The free shuttle to the strip did not have AC and it was very hot. The general feeling of the hotel is "ghettish", dark and dirty - nothing like advertised on their web-site. I have no idea how they got 4,5 star. It is more of a 2-3 star hotel. I would recommend to spend some extra money and stay in another hotel.
