I showed up to pick up my rental and was turned away because they said they were closing even though it was not closing time yet. The worker said I could cancel online. I tried and could not. They charged my credit card already. I had to rush and find another rental. So, I ended up paying for a car rental I never got. Horrible business! Never again.

Day of rental I received a text from the location where I booked informing me that the vehicle was not available at the location I booked. In fact, no vehicles were available. Instead, I was sent, by the original location, to pick up the vehicle at the airport by Dollar. At the airport, I was charged an additional $120.00. I specifically booked the off-airport location to avoid the upcharges. Very unhappy.

The first 3 cars I chose, I could not check out because they needed oil changes. The staff was rude, and refused to take blame that they didn’t service their cars in time. My trip was delayed as a result of it. I had to choose the car I didn’t want. I wound up wasting more money on gas and being uncomfortable. The car wasn’t even cleaned prior to being checked out. I rent cars often, and I have never experienced anything like it.

Dollar sent me a text message while we were on vacation in Las Vegas, the night before our pickup date, that we were cancelled because they were overbooked. No further explanation and no other options were offered. Clearly we will never select them again. Ken & Mary Housley

THIS LOCATION DOES NOT EXIST!!!! Worst experience renting. Do not rent from this dollar location! They do not have cars and continue to rent through third party websites. Our vacation was almost ruined because of this- stock was low in Vegas so we had a hard time correcting this issue day of pick up and ended up costing us WAY MORE. No one was helpful at dollar or at third party call centers other then refunding- we had to identify and correct issue on our own. Will never rent through 3rd party again.

What could go wrong renting a car from Dollar? A lot. Had to wait close to an hour for the shuttles to take us to the car rental area- by the time we got there the counter was closed. Most of the other rental places in the airport have virtual check in or other counters cover the check ins after hours- not Dollar. We were lucky enough to get a refund after complaining but ended up spending twice as much for a rental elsewhere because we had to book it at the last minute due to this debacle. I will never again rent through Dollar. Please be wary that if your flight is delayed or you also have to wait for 3 shuttles due to a crowded airport- you may be stranded like we were.

Drop off was fine. What I never understand is why only two people are working the counter when there are at least 25 people in line. It’s always this way. There’s no reason to have to stand in line for 30 mins when already have a car reserved.
