Excellent 10.0
Pros: very prefect garden, nautral foods and kindly owner
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hosts have really gone out of their way to make this location a superb place to stay. The room was fabulous, so many thoughtful touches and facilities. The breakfast was the best I think I've ever had anywhere. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and we really hope to stay again on a future trip to Tasmania. Longford was a great location to see many interesting historical and natural places in that part of the island. This Inn is a real gem.
Cons: Everything was perfect!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very nice accommodation, greats hosts who served a lovely breakfast. Highly recommend
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location was ideal for me as i was attending a course nearby in Longford. The breakfast were divine! Stewed fruit from the garden, cooked breakfast with every condiment you could desire. Service was perfect too! Highlight was returning after a long day to freshly baked cakes each evening.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely accommodation and beautiful breakfast. Our hosts went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. We had home baked muffins delivered to our door on arrival and the next day we had home baked chocolate and raspberry slice baked by our host .
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The Racecourse Inn was spectacular!!! There were 6 of us in our group staying there (in 3 rooms) and everyone was blown away at how large the rooms were!!! And the attention to detail such as including homemade muffins & biscuits upon arrival was so sweet. The rooms were far superior to any hotel we have stayed in. The staff were delightful and went above and beyond to assist us. The breakfast was also pretty AMAZING!!! Thanks so much!

Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was exceptionally spotless, the hoist’s were very obliging, lovely surroundings and all the extra touches were greatly appreciated this property was truly a credit to both the owners ..
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Fantastic property. Very well presented and looked after. Very attentive hosts - provided us with everything we needed for ourselves and our baby (even a couple of toys of their grandkids for her to play with). Attention was given to little details. We had a great time and would stay again!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The Wellington was perfect for my needs. It was quiet, friendly staff, newly renovated and the pool was a perfect way to unwind. And the Longford shops were only about a 10 minute walk away.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The property is modern and comfortable. Lovely surroundings and a beautiful pool for summer days. For the winter we found our rooms to be warm and very comfy. Really soft luxurious bed and modern bathroom with exceptional shower. Everything you need for a stay was provided and our Hostess Bev. was welcoming and friendly. Very accessible for anyone on a walking stick. Well presented with good linen, towels, kitchenware etc. Well lit car parking area close to unit. Quiet, peaceful surroundings.
Cons: No problems at all.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: City comforts. Country location. Very friendly hosts with good advice for the next part of our trip. Pool was a bonus on an exceptionally hot day. Convenient to Airport. Great place to start a Tasmanian holiday

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Easy check in Beautiful old house Comfy room, good bathroom with excellent shower Characterful dining area Plentiful tea and coffee Washing facilities Situation (sl out of town)
Cons: Not enough light bulbs in the lights when we arrived CC TV! (although understand it's needed)
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The rooms are very spacious and had good facilities (bar fridge, coffee machine, hair dryer etc). Self check-in was straight-forward.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Charming and quirky. Service is excellent. Beautifully set up and breakfast is excellent.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The view, the charm, the gardens, the ease of the place and an abundance of information. Fantastic coffee and breakfast pack. Comfortable bedding and modern touches mixed with beautiful old Launceston charm.
Cons: Hard to fault. Water pressure wasn't great but it's what to expect with an old charm building.
Okay 4.0
Pros: We like the spa
Cons: Very dusty an cob webs the place was not cleaned well the sliding door was off its rollers when we arrived making it very hard to access the studio 8 the couch was more comfortable than the bed I woke up in the night an move to the couch the tap also dripped the hole time. I do not like writing this but hope you can fix it all up for everyone thank you
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Quirky and different.
Cons: Even though close to town very steep for walking back to Dragonfly
Okay 5.4
Pros: Comfy bed & option of a room with self catering facilities.
Cons: Despite the comfy bed we unfortunately slept badly due to the noise from the neighbouring room (thin walls between rooms?) and traffic noise from the highway. Photos of the property give the impression of a ‘polished, renovated B&B’ but we felt it was needing more investment to give it a better quality finish, particularly in the paint /decor as it felt a little rundown in places.. could be a lovely restored property but then the price to stay there would probably be beyond our budget!
Good 7.9
Pros: Easy check in/check out process. Suited our needs for one night stay after late arrival into Launceston. Thanks.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Location and animals were awesome... the resident pig and goat walking past the verandah were a bonus..
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This is a real Country property with country feel
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Everything about it was gorgeous. We absolutely adored staying there. The history was very interesting as well. For an early settler experience I highly recommend it.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The setting was amazing, it was a 1841 gardeners cottage. It had all amenities but was set up as a heritage accommodation site. The breakfast was well set out and quite large. The heritage garden at the main house was well worth a walk around.
Cons: We did not see any staff for the entire stay. Our friends were also staying there; they found their cottage and a map there showed us the way to ours. The homestead has staff there Tuesday to Sunday, but our stay was a Monday. We were really unsure how to access the accommodation.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Excellent experience staying on the world heritage site. The gardeners cottage is quaint and very private. It has a great outlook over gorgeous hills. Had some cute wallabies in our garden one morning and some frogs living in a little pond outside. The provided breakfast of fresh bread, eggs, peaches, milk, juice, butter, jams etc were excellent. Feeding the animals was also a great experience. We walked down to the jetty and had a lovely picnic one afternoon too.
Cons: No wifi and poor connectivity in the gardeners cottage- which is actually quite nice but may inconvenience some.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Authentic step back in history
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was fantastic. The property has charm, a truly special place to stay and that is before you get to the breakfast which is spectacular, starting with eggs, cereals, jam, bottled fruit, orange juice... the list goes on. And the cottages are well equipped and comfortable. I was only sorry it wasn’t cold enough for a fire. And wandering around the historic property was just exquisitely peaceful.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: I stayed in the beautifully restored "Gardner's cottage" on this historic colonial farm. The colours at sunrise and the atmosphere were amazing. Everything you need including breakfast is in the cosy cottage. Louise is a great host and also gave me a tour of the grounds. How lucky we are to have this property preserved and cared for by the original family. The stay was a highlight of my visit to Tasmania.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: A traditional cottage brings us back to history! We spotted wallaby at night.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very clean, warm and comfortable.
Cons: Missed having a swim, and no coffee pods for morning on the last day.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Loved the surroundings and Matt who transported our luggage to and from our room was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The bathroom wasn’t very well equipped, only one face washer and one small bar of soap for 2 people for 2 nights and no tissues. Mentioned it to a staff member who said she would attend to it but only tissues had been put in bathroom when we returned.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Relaxed atmosphere, courteous helpful staff and excellent facilities. The restaurants offered a great range of food at a reasonable price.
Cons: Everything was as we expected. I would stay again, as I know the service and amenities are first class. There wasn't anything I would change.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Comfortable bed.
Cons: The food was absolutely terrible, I had the slow cooked beef shin and it wasn't even half a meal! I was absolutely starving and it was incredibly odd and unpleasant. with baby carrots and you get 1 raw carrot.. the pork belly came topped with fish food! Was absolutely ridiculous giving the pricing and quality of the hotel. Would expect the food to be high quality but it was not.
Good 7.0
Pros: Loved the location.
Cons: Not really the properties fault due to covid, but lack of music and entertainment was missing. Only having the one bar open until 5pm meant more people congregating in a small area. Also our room window was left opened and on arrival our room was full of mosquitoes.
Mediocre 2.0
Cons: Stayed in a golf suite for 3 nights . Asked staff twice for bathrobes and wine glasses but received none, In room dining on first night ,food arrived with no covers on plates(we were the furthest room from the kitchen in room 2317) and was lukewarm . Sticky pork belly was pork fat swimming in some liquid .We have stayed here on numerous occasions but will think again before coming back.
Good 6.3
Pros: The grounds were beautifully landscaped providing a relaxing enviroment.
Cons: The Casino part of it ...
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The Grand Atmosphere and helpful staff
Okay 5.7
Pros: Convenient and sufficently comfortablefor Airport overnight stopover
Mediocre 3.7
Pros: The reception girls where OK however when we complained about the broken bed in the second room they advised they will put a report in did not offer to shift us again, so it was a very uncomfortable night. We could not wait to get out of there as soon as we could.
Cons: Well yes we requested a quiet room with veiws and it wasn't. Then requested to change rooms and they put us right next to the lift. Then the bed was broken, it was a disaster. Then we did not know that there's was a casino attached we we both don't like. It felt cheap and nasty We only stayed one night we couldn't wait to get out of there.
Good 7.3
Pros: We loved the luxuriousness of the king suite - we did not think this type of accommodation was available in Tasmania. We would love to stayagain next time we are in Tassie. It was great value for money. Thankyou, Robyn.
Cons: I found the colour scheme rather challenging at first - with the lime green & pinky orange rather gaudy - but the luxury shone through & I didnt worry about the colours afte my initial shock.
Good 6.0
Pros: Facilities were good, room was comfortable and clean, and the food was tasty
Cons: $review.cons
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Valet parking -beauty massage centre-beautiful scenery-the casino-nice bar with leafy outlook -same for the restaurant
Cons: no-not really -thought the a la carte menu in the Links dining room could be healthier eg caesar salad was swimming in salad dressing-buffet looked amazing but who needs that amount of food when travelling-special occasions excepted
Good 7.6
Pros: We liked the the large expanse of gardens and wildlife eg wallabys, ducks, rabbits, swans all which were quite tame. Views from front rooms all of mountains overall very relaxing. The deluxe rooms were large and good value for money. As everything is close in Launceston it did not matter that it was a 5 minute drive out of the city.
Cons: $review.cons
Good 6.0
Pros: To travel in Tasmania and find satisfactory accommodations at what to us is a reasonable price, i.e approximately $150 per night, this was a fine option. We are not into gambling so that aspect did not interest us. Otherwise, the hotel was like any roadside accommodation with a little more pretense than we would find in the US for about $90 to $100 a night. Nice pool and a nice room. Nice gift shop.
Cons: I'd like to find similar accommodations at the same price in Tasmania and throughout Australia. B&Bs are a better bet for us because we do not like to pay $250 plus a night for a nice, but not grand or great place to stay. The place is expensive except for these gambling meccas and that will limit our travel in the future. We come to Australia every year to visit our daughter and family. The cost of travel in Australia, however, means less time spent out and about. The low end food at the Country Club was really bad and I wish we had explored options, but that was our fault. I have no substantive complaints about this hotel except that I wish Australia had similar accommodations without the gambling structure.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: We had a huge room with comfortable fittings and it was quiet. There were tea and coffee facilities, a mini bar and a small kitchen with all necessary items.
Cons: The only slight grizzle - a lovely big bathroom with a fiddly little shower cubicle when there was room to put in a much larger one.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Was very central to shopping area. And to great restaurants.
Cons: Nil
Good 6.0
Pros: Great staff and excellent location.
Cons: The room next door had a gym junkie. Bashing his weights around and throwing his medicine ball at the wall to thrash Music was disgusting.
Okay 4.0
Pros: Got a bill for $1.00 taken out of my credit card ??
Cons: No information book of hotel's amenities, where to eat locally, or for that matter no bible either. Felt like I was shut off from the rest of the world. If I wanted to know anything I had to ask at the the front desk. Not the way I like. Parking was a nightmare even thought I realise was free of charge.

Good 6.3
Cons: No door between rooms. Very hot rooms Parking was difficult when lots of cars. Location was too far away from cbd.
Good 7.9
Pros: The location is excellent and staff friendly
Cons: The bed was uncomfortable and the room very hot - no air conditioning
Good 6.0
Pros: Location was good for the Tamar river and Gorge and close to supermarket and restaurants.
Cons: Originally booked for a twin share for two but was alone, would have been a bit small for two. Very clean but rooms/bathrooms a bit worn. not sure there was a smoke detector in room 2, detector appeared missing from bracket. A white strip on the edge of the half step at the room 2 door would be useful to prevent tripping
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Staff were outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. The Motel was within easy walking distance of cbd.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Lovely quirky little motel with lots of character. The room was small but very clean and the beds were comfortable. Extremely convenient location and some great amenities - the private parking and outdoor dining area were excellent. Cheerful, helpful staff who gave us lots of information about the area.
Cons: The window treatment in my room was a very light fabric, almost like a bedsheet - heavier light-blocking curtains would have improved my sleep.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Very helpful staff. Comfy beds. Convenient location. Secure parking on-site.
Good 7.0
Pros: Enjoyed the slightly quirky atmosphere of this motel. Good location, close to city and Cataract Gorge. Secure off street parking and nice shared deck area for drinks etc.
Cons: A bit of a street noise overnight was annoying.
Excellent 10.0
Cons: Lovely little place to stay. Close to heaps of shops cafes and restaurants.
Okay 5.8
Pros: Location was terrific. Secure parking. Friendly staff.
Cons: There was a sheet, yes a sheet, at the window plus the Motel’s sign was lit throughout the night outside the window therefore far too much light. Noisy street impacted as well. No air conditioning. Hot room. Noisy plumbing from adjacent rooms.

Cons: Having an ensuite and tea-coffee facilities in the room would have been handy.

Pros: Great location

Okay 5.0
Pros: It was clean and the staff quickly brought us a new heater as ours didn't work.
Cons: It was extremely noisy, concidering there was only one or two other guests at the whole complex but they were right beside us and very loud. It's quite cold and had to run the heater flat out.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Comfortable, clean
Cons: Needs a tea towel
Good 7.0
Pros: check in was really good and the staff member was friendly. The beds were very comfortabe the heater worked well and the hot water was great.
Cons: The hand basin tap dripped all night had to put a face washer under tap to stop the noise. We thought the room could have been quite a bit cleaner.
Good 6.0
Pros: Property was in a great location staff were friendly however heating in the room was terrible it was freezing , bathroom was tiny and hot water only lasted for 2 peoples super quick showers when it’s a family unit
Okay 5.0
Pros: There wasn't anything in particular that I liked more than anything perhaps the game room because my boyfriend is a big kid
Cons: That the pool and spa wasn't opened as that's one of the main things our kids come up for
Good 6.7
Pros: Its 10mins drive from airport and 2mins drive to busy street, where u can enjoy food and do shoping for basic food. Room is quite big. It is designed for families. There are 2 layers, where 2 bedrooms are downstairs. Each bed has electric blanket, even though the room is already equipped with air-conditioner. The swimming pool and spa are indoor, so we could go swimming in the cold days. There is a city view from our balcony. And outlook of inn site itself is fascinating, very beautiful. There is no room laundry, but u could wash clothing in public laundry room for $3per wash and $3per dry. The staff in the hotel is quite nice and willing to help us.
Cons: We experienced a storm during the stay in Launceston. And whole hotel was out of power for about 30mins at 10pm.
