Owners were the most accommodating couple that i have ever dealt with. Everything was homey, inviting and invited you to stay longer....only wish i could have.
The room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was delicious. The atmosphere was charming and relaxing. I don't really have any complaints.
Location was excellent one room was not ready until more than an hour after check in time at 3:00.We were also disturbed by the noise coming from the other guests rooms. The rooms obviously are not sound proof.
A free continental breakfast would have been nice along with the bistro restaurant.
room smelled of chemicals which made it feel a little cleaner than it really was. Bed was decent and actually did smell fresh. No mold in the bathroom, but this is an older place. They try and keep it up at least. Close to down town for food and drinks in Oneonta. Dated and old, worn out a bit.
For the price I found my stay very enjoyable, the staff very accommodating & the location perfect for where I needed to be. The complimentary breakfast was very nice.
Location Shabby , tub had mold around the lip of it . Bathroom corners were filthy
convenient location, good price super8's "system" was down on arrival so i had to wait twenty minutes to check in. also, despite kayak having all my info, super8 required cc# and phone# so i predict the hotel will associate with my booking and sell the metadata and cause me to receive junk email. also, the new cheap motel trend in small pillows, so i bring my own.
The bed and pillows were comfortable and clean. Staff was professional and nice. The shower had quite a bit of mold on the seams and the shower head was partially clogged with hard water deposits. The hair dryer in the bathroom did not work. It would also be nice if the hotel provided luggage rack.
We got the one of the rooms by the lake which looked like it was in its prime in 1975. The window AC in the back of the room did keep us cool, but it really only had two settings, On and Off. The screen above the window was a generic replacement, but we discovered a day late that it had separated from the frame and had let in the bugs. The refrigerator in the room also contains a prior occupants, now rancid, milk. The bedding was basic and functional when it was not falling apart. The pillow had popped open and the stuffing came out. The only saving grace to this location was Goodyear lake just steps from the front door. We stopped at the local Price Chopper to pickup some bug spray, a couple of citronella candlea, a couple of bottles of wine. We then sat by the lake sipping wine watching the sunset.
