Pros: Great breakfast. It was your typical German breakfast. They were extremely helpful & nice. The room was nice.
Cons: The walls are super thin, & they didn’t have any hand towels, so bring your own!!!
Pros: A great spot near Ansbach!
Pros: Veary nice staff. Good breakfast. Warm feeling.
Cons: A bit too expensive
Pros: Big and clean room , friendly staff, nice breakfast .
Pros: Very nice, calm and nice place to stay. Very nice service stuff.
Cons: Nothing to admit
Pros: Friendly & helpful staff, good breakfast, good location
Pros: Restaurant nearby
Pros: Good breakfast, excellent service.
Cons: Church belt was ringing at 6 in the morning.
Pros: Staffs are really friendly.
Pros: Firstly, you need a car to stay here as it is in a lovely little village. But, it is totally worth it. Everything was excellent. The staff, room, breakfast and Wi-Fi. It is a good place to stay for a day visit to Rothenberg ODT. Highly recommend this hotel.

Pros: Loved the atmosphere and unique setting .The owner and staff were amazing and personable. Great breakfast Beautiful views Would loved to have stayed longer and will definitely go back
Cons: Loved it all
Pros: It was beautiful castle in a scenic location.
Cons: The rooms were pretty tiny. We had to rent 2 rooms for our family of 4. Also the waitress was pretty rude.
Pros: The rooms combined the historical charm of staying in a castle with contemporary comforts. Each of the staff members we interacted was exceptionally friendly and accommodating--the service was outstanding. We had lovely views from our rooms of the valley below. The breakfast was also excellent. Our kids greatly enjoyed the stay, as did we.
Pros: Beautiful historic property, excellent large rooms, very comfortable beds. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Dinner at the restaurant was superb.
Pros: The restaurant had great food! When you arrive, they have a pre-planned seating chart. I’m guessing that they place the highest category of room guests and locals on the patio which has a great view. The inner room is ok...not nearly the same experience. Sat ourselves at breakfast on the patio even though the staff was going to place us inside again. Plenty of tables open outside early.
Cons: The pre-planned seating. Not a lot to do on the outside of the castle.
Pros: Really unique opportunity to stay in a medieval castle.
Cons: Avoid a courtyard room if there are any parties/events planned. It was hot, and no AC, so with windows open to stay cool, we could hear restaurant patrons into the night and had a rough night's sleep. Bed was too firm/pillows flat.
Pros: Friendliness of staff; hotel history and amenities
Pros: The view was amazing and so unique to experience a castle
Pros: It was the most beautiful, romantic place we have ever stayed. The family that owns the castle were so friendly and informative, making themselves available to answer questions for guests. Everything was immaculate and well kept. One of the highlights of our entire trip
Pros: The breakfast was standard and fine. The hotel is in a castle on a hill overlooking the city and beyond. It's amazing and really cool to stay in a castle. We stayed in the modern wing and it was wonderful. The old wing would have been ideal, though very expensive. We had dinner in the castle restaurant which was good food.
Cons: The castle had a large birthday event going on the night we got there and so dinner service took 2 hrs for a pretty straightforward meal. They speak English so that was fine but our waiter did not so translation of menu items took some time. We were prepared for this but they had changed their menu from the posted on online which we weren't ready for. After the large party arrived we were pretty much forgotten for long periods of time (45 minutes while waiting to order dessert). The food was decent but not worth the long wait. Then at midnight the castle set off fireworks which would be exciting if we'd known about it and wanted to wait up for it. Instead we thought we were being shot in the middle of the night. So just be prepared for the fireworks and stay up for them. I'd recommend this place as it's a great, interesting place to stay just know a few things going in.

Pros: A very nice hotel, clean and spacious family room. Friendly staff. A very nice beer garden/restaurant.
Cons: We would appreciate a wider variety of food for breakfast. A nearby railway made it a bit noisy during the night.
Pros: The staff was nice
Cons: No AC in the rooms, no telephone to call the front desk. No fridge, microwave.
Pros: excellent and lovely prepared breakfast
Pros: The place is clean and the staff was friendly. and helpful. They do offer a nice, simple breakfast.
Cons: Bed - hard; light came in The windows over the bed; no good parking - had to walk through dirt parking lot around to rear to enter Lodging facility; elevator was not working; location is not actually right in the town of Ansbach.
Pros: Very clean bathroom, and comfortable rooms. Easy to park.
Pros: The location, quiet & idyllic. A great starting point to visit Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The Biergarten restaurant of the hotel was charming! We ate outside, under the trees with a view of the fields (and great for kids! with a small playground).
Cons: To be honest, the hotel is beautiful, good size rooms, clean and friendly but somewhat expensive.
Pros: Friendly staff. Cleanliness. Quiet room. Spacious parking lot.
Cons: Remote location, in the real sense, as reflected by the name, a 'Land'gasthof.
Pros: German quality

Cons: There was nothing I didn't like
Pros: Nice view and very peaceful surroundings. The staff are very nice and welcoming. Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. We would never think twice of coming back.
Pros: Nice thorough renovation of a property in good taste. Helpful staff and good breakfast. Great value for money, would gladly stay again.
Cons: Our room will be quite warm summertime without AC. Some small paint errors and window trim etc. need to be finished.
Pros: Bed and mattress are very good. Very good location for trips to neighboring historic cities.
Cons: The work on the hotel is still ongoing. No Minibar in the room.
Pros: On arrival at the Hotel we were greeted by Paula a very friendly German Shepherd dog. The owners of the property were very welcoming too and provided us with drinks on arrival. The grounds of the Hotel were superb, and the rooms too very clean and modern. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice
Cons: There was no evening meal provided, but we managed to find a nearby Italian restaurant within walking distance
Pros: The front desk was rarely staffed, so could never get questions answered. The place also still seems under construction and what staff that I could find we're not well trained
Pros: Clean, quiet, charming place, very friendly and helpful staff, very pleasant atmosphere
Pros: Room was confortable and very quiet
Cons: quality and variety of breakfast could be improved. Employees were not so visible.

Cons: all good.
Pros: Very friendly family run hotel. Very good reasonably priced food and drink. Comfortable room with a small balcony. Excellent breakfast with freshly cooked to order eggs.
Cons: There were a lot of flies that spoiled enjoyment of meals slightly.
Pros: Location was perfect for Christmas Markets visit - 30 min to Rothenberg and 45 min to Nurnberg. Very handy, nice sz rooms ... American and not used to cold cuts for breakfast, so they thoughtfully made us eggs every morning. Good coffee. Evening meal was very good. Even found some ice for our drinks one night.
Cons: Cant come up with anything.
Pros: The exterior and interior of the hotel are both lovely. Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable and roomy. The staff was friendly and helpful, with good English. The breakfasts were delicious and we enjoyed a nice dinner at the hotel one of the evenings (our waitress attended gymnasium and was delightful). There is a wonderful bakery/tea room just a couple of doors down the street. The village of Flachslanden is in close proximity to the historic medieval villages of Rothenberg and Dinkelsbuhl, and served as a perfect location for exploring this beautiful part of Germany.
A stay at Hotel Platengarten places you in the heart of Ansbach, within a 5-minute walk of Onoldia Saal and Ansbach Residence. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and ATM/banking services.
Pros: The room is big and the interior is 'old style' like all the hotel. Internet fine. Free private parking Free coffee, water and fruits The breakfast is extraordinary deliciuous and the lady serving is very competent. Try it.
Pros: If you love Baroque style and luxurious atmosphere - this is the perfect place for you to spend the night or two. Staff is so friendly and helpful! When we returned after a festival late at night, there was no problem at returning to our rooms. Breakfast was so plentiful and delicious. All was perfect!
Pros: I like the fact the hotel is in short walking distance of different eating places and bars.
Cons: I don't like the fact that you can't park an oversize vehicle in the main hotel park area.
Pros: old house but good atomosphare, stuffs are frendly.
Cons: They have no lift so very difficult to move our luggage.
Pros: Extremely helpful and nice reception staff, very comfort room, excellent breakfast.
Cons: Unstable wifi.
Pros: The hotel is in a lovely old building oozing with charm, where all rooms are different. This is definately not a place for those who prefer standard uniformity. The staff were all absolytely brilliant, and the rooms, being all different, were all comfortable and with all necessary facilities. A gem!
Cons: Wifi is weak. I used data roaming.
Pros: Price was Ok
Cons: Creepy old place, no air conditioning, no elevator floors creek, no one on premises after 10 pm. Breakfast was decent. Parking was a joke!
Pros: Close to everything. Very clean. Kind and helpful staff.
Cons: I can’t think of anything.

Pros: Great staff. Great food. Nice little town. So friendly. Quiet place.
Pros: Room simple but comfortable. Friendly stuff and good food. Nice terrace and restaurant. Very good value for money
Cons: In the morning, repairs took place and could not be rescued.
Cons: We had a small dog. They gave us the worse room they have. There was a crack in the wall. The bath was old. Small room with carpet. Narrow ladder to reach the first flat. I asked if they had a room without carpet (with dog it should be a problem). The guy told me “I have to ask”. This should be strange! You stay there and you do not know about rooms? He came back and said they have only that room! We decided to have dinner there. Terrible idea! They gave us terrible food that in our country not even the pigs eat! I asked for a salat with cheese and ham. Inside there was everything: fruit, and all vegetables were not fresh but in box. We ate because we were hungry. I paid for a glass of water 2.60 euro, for a dog of 2,50 kilos 6,50 euro for an old room! There was also noise because there are a bar at the ground floor.at 6 o clock in the morning church bells ring for a lot of time. The owner had no smile he was always very serious. Bad experience
Pros: The room was perfect. It exceeded my expectations. Each room has a theme and they are really beautiful. I loved it. Bathroom is clean, breakfast is fine.
Pros: The room was large. The host was helpful in storing some medicine in the refrigerator for us.
Cons: When we booked with Booking.com (many months in advance) we included a request for an additional bed. This was not in the room. When we checked in I went to ask about it. The owner of the property was out and his daughter told me he would be back in 15 minutes. After 90 minutes we gave up, as nobody was around at all and went out for dinner. We found the owner when he returned. He seemed to know nothing of the message we had sent (although we could still bring it up on the website), but did add the bed. We stayed three nights. On the first morning builders began renovating the hotel by cutting tiles outside our window at 8am. The building work went on throughout our visit and were noisy and intrusive. The breakfast room has a curtain separating us from the builders working and was noisy as a result. The hotel did not warn us about the building works. The breakfast itself was very basic and not particularly good, except for the boiled eggs that were very well cooked. The hotel seems to be designed as a place for people to come and stay for competitions at the local shooting club. This defines the general ambiance of the place.
Pros: Very traditional land house style. Lots of character.
Pros: Very cute place that was easy to get to. Very close to Rothenberg on der Tauber with much better parking. The food was delicious and the price can’t be beat! I can’t find anything negative to say about it!

This charming hotel is located in Ansbach. No pets are allowed on the premises.
Pros: Helpful staff.
Cons: I booked because of the good reviews about the restaurant but I arrived on a Sunday and the restaurant was closed. I couldn't see any reference to this in the details on Booking.com. The lady on reception was very helpful and ordered a pizza in from a pizza delivery company, but very disappointed that I couldn't get a meal in the hotel in the evening.

Pros: Excellent location. Rooms recently renovated. Washer and dryer on site as well as iron and ironing board. Goode was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Pros: Perfect place, quiet and easy accessible, helpful staff, room and bathroom clean and comfortable and - last but not least - they have an original Messerschmitt KR175 in the lobby :)

Pros: Beds were comfortable. We asked for a fan because it was hot and they brought one. Thanks.
Cons: It was all good.
Pros: The 5 bed room was huge and looked newly renovated with lots of extra space. We loved the morning breakfast, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: I liked everything about this property.
Pros: Everything, I am super picky about cleanliness and this room was spotless. The bed was comfortable and the towels were fantastic. The room was a great size too. I will be using this hotel again when I am in the area.
Cons: Nothing !!!
With a stay at Hotel & Restaurant Schwarzer Bock, you'll be centrally located in Ansbach, steps from St. Gumbertus Church and within a 5-minute walk of Markgrafen Museum. Featured amenities include a computer station, express check-in, and express check-out. Planning an event in Ansbach? This hotel has facilities measuring 269 square feet (25 square meters), including a meeting room. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge, and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Two things to note. First, the room: The bedroom was extra large. The bathroom was separated from the bedroom by a short hallway and was clean and modern. The building was a beautiful old structure with lots of relics decorating the rooms and the dining room below. Now second, dining. Part of my booking was breakfast. I was asked what time I wanted breakfast and was met at the time I asked with a large European style buffet at my own table. I also had freshly scrambled eggs. I ate dinner two nights at the restaurant. Both nights the food was excellent. On the second night I order the Argentinian steak. It was marvelous! I have eaten steak all over the world and I would put this one in my top three, Kolby steaks being 1 and 2.
Cons: Nothing. Extraordinary stay.
Pros: Great location in middle of old town. About a 12 minute walk from train station.
Cons: Staff was not very friendly. We arrived prior to check in and were quickly told that we were too early. No joke. Our train arrived at noon. They held our luggage “As long as it does not take up too much room”. There was a logo’d hotel car outside. Our morning walk back to the train station was wet. I asked if a ride was available. They refused.
Located in Ansbach (Middle Franconia), Hotel Fantasie is within a 15-minute walk of Onoldia Saal and Ansbach Residence. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff in the evening was nice
Cons: Staff in the morning was rather unfriendly. The room was big, had an extra bedroom and bathroom. The style reminds me of the 1980's a very scarcely furnished room with very basic furniture. The room was very cold (it felt like 16 degrees) when I arrived 7pm, heating was off. (End of January) It took half the night to get the room somewhat back up to normal temperatures. Same for the Bathroom. Which by the way, is also an old style white tiles and ceramics, cold not heated floor. This room was not isolated well from sound, one could hear very well people entering the main door and going up or down the stairs. Price paid was €75 a night plus 7,50 for breakfast. The Room I would rate overpriced for what it has to offer, not the size, but amenities. The Breakfast was very rudimentary German Breakfast. I wonder where this relatively high rating comes from. Most likely because if compared to local Hotels it is OK, but compared to International standards, it is way past due for renovation. I wouldn't say it is run down, but just not a modern hotel room whatsoever.
Pros: Everything was fine: good staff, clean rooms. Hotel is in walking distance from the town centre. I have used this hotel in the past and I am still satisfied with it.
Cons: Hotel is in neighborhood of some factory, however it doesn't have influence on quality of accommodation.
Pros: Pet friendly. Friendly staff. Free parking. Close to Altstadt.
Cons: Noisy industrial area.
Pros: Staff was sorta friendly
Cons: For what we paid the breakfast should have been included! Poor breakfast buffet, the room was very cold it should have been warm as it was December and cold and rainy and smelled very bad. I know that I will never again stay in your facility!
Pros: Everything was good. It was an easy stay for the 3 nights we were there.
Cons: Walls are a little thin can hear about anything in the hall or next door but thank god we were like the only ones there during the week. Got busier ok Friday!
Pros: Nice staff, the property not far away from the train station.
Pros: Location is close to center of Ansbach and easy walk.
Pros: The place was the cheapest. And cleanest
Cons: It was little bit far from city center.
Pros: I actually liked the staff and management. They were so helpful and sweet. Also the size of room,it was pretty good.
Cons: Loved it.
Pros: Very friendly staff and helpful. Room were very spacious and clean. Chocolate is awaiting for you on your pillow and free bottles of water which are nice welcome gifts. Breakfast is complete and fresh. Can only recommend.

Cons: Small problem with a few electrical outlets and TV
Pros: Friendly and knowledgeable proprietor. Nice breakfast. Walking distance from train station.
Cons: Not air conditioned; however, unusually high temperatures during our stay.
Pros: The owner was amazingly friendly and lovely, the breakfast was pleasantly good.
Cons: Some lingering smoke smell
Pros: Bed was comfortable. The breakfast had a variety to offer, like cooked eggs, fruits, fresh bread, ham, cheese and jams.
Cons: The 3rd bed (sofa bed) wasn’t very comfortable
Pros: Centrally located. A little difficult to find. Parking Availability was suspect. 1st come 1st serve in front of the place & there were allegedly 2 places reserved in a lot. The lot had specific names on each parking spot. I didn’t see any with the hotel name on them. ???
Cons: There was no soap to bathe with or wash your face. Unbelievable. There was only shampoo for your hair. What the heck???
Cons: Price to pay once I arrived was higher than booked
Cons: The area around the hotel can feel rather unsafe.
Pros: Convenient, easy to get to, friendly staff, clean rooms.
Cons: A bit pricey for what you get.
