Parking area, large and clean room. Smelling in the bathroom, poor quality of internet connection, lack of refrigerator in the room.
It's ok for the price, but I wouldn't stay there again. They gave me the room on the middle of 1 & 2 floor, which I have to take an elevator to 2nd floor and walk 250m and take a stair down. They have these motion sensor to turn on the light, which kind of scary since I'm by myself in the middle of the week.
The sauna area looked nice, restaurant attached to hotel was decent, room was spacious and clean. Reception associates were rude. No coffee to use in room coffee pot. Room right above bar area so we couldn't open windows due to cigarette smoke, and the air conditioner didn't work. Location was atrocious for someone who doesn't have a car-we used tram.
Clean, well equipped room with balcony.... Good clean bath with strong hot shower. Very close to autobahn Helpful staff
Good service all is O.K.
Everything was fine. Elevators, sometimes we had to wait few minutes to reach a desired floor or the restaurant. Software should be reprogramed to increase efficiency of this kind of transport to avoid unpleasent up and down rides .
it's far from the centre, perfect for visiting the Messe
I stayed twice in NH Leipzig Messe. This is a good quality hotel of international standard, friendly staff and it is very reasonably priced. WiFi internet is available from rooms and is free (though the hotel's guide says that internet is payable). I has underground parking (paid separately). Near by is Globus shopping centre (ATMs). Due to its proximity to freeway the hotel is ideal when travelling by car.
Pluses: good value for the money, clean. Minuses: far from downtown, could hire more English-speaking staff.
Position is comfortable for all Businessmen working with the Leipzig Messe: just 5 minutes walking for reaching the exhibitor's halls. Around there, lots of shops and a huge Supermarket. The Hotel itself has no other good points. Price is absolutely unfair for the Hotel services and quality. Staff is unpolite and doesn't speak english so well to communicate with foreign customers. Room temperature is crazy hot and reception staff reply to this complaint was "Sleep with your window wide open", result: we all caught a cold. Also Left wing is facing the Highway, noisy all night. Reception staff refused to change our money (small notes into big notes and coins into small notes), and refused to give us some extra supplies (an extra box of plastic bags for napkins which we needed to wrap up some fragiles purchased at the Messe). Breakfast price is just too expensive. Food quality, morning trough dinner is really poor, even for Germany. This hotel hardly is a First Class..
The hotel staff were very professional and polite, the room was very clean and comfortable. We didn't have time to make use of the additional facilities, so cannot make any comment about them. There is nothing I could say was outstanding, but the general standard was very high and well in keeping in it's class. A bit out of the way. OK for car or business users, but there is a 10 minute walk from the nearest tram stop. I had good weather, so this wasn't a big problem.
It's within walking distance of a grocery store. It's a 8 minute walk to the nearest Public transportation and a Taxi ride(16 euro) is required after Midnight to get back to the hotel.
It is showing decades of hotel experience in design and operation. Functional, comfortable and no nonsense. Four choices of scrambled eggs at breakfast. Good price including breakfast outside Messe season! Elevator is going from parking cellar to room floor with secutity stop at ground level. Four lane road is leading to center. Park at HBF-Ost for 5 Euro a day at 1st floor and walk straight into shopping area in renovated railroadstation. In Leipzig in august 2010 are subway works and renovation work underway, blocking the center partly.
Excellent customer service.
The desing of rooms and halls is just fabilous! SPA area - very small. Staff should have been more friendly. Too expensive parking.
Everything was absolutely super! Excellent staff, very helpful.Clean room with space:)) Nothig to complain of. There was nothing to remark
Rooms were very clean and hotel made proper preparations for us, since we notified them that we would stay with 2 children.
The breakfast was good.Going to city centre was easy by tram. Internet service was not good.
good value for money. Excellent breakfest!
Whole experience was very good.
that it was placed close to congress center and reception worked proffesional
Very large room. Had no Office Internet Center
Clean, simple and cheap(-ish) room. Professional staff. In-room WiFi and breakfast are expensive. Location: you'd need a car to comfortably make it into Leipzig.
Quiet Hotel close to the Messe Difficult to find in the dark!
They were very kind, gave us extra bedding and towels.
Nice hotel and good restaurant. Shuttle to the airport. Internet was too expensive. It would be nice to have other English channels on TV than CNN.
The friendly and supportive staff made my stay in Leipzig one to remember. The rooms are the ideal size with a very nice bathroom. No
Perfect service and very friendly personal. No.
I like very much,the area,everything!
I paid only 80 Euros for a very clean room with everything I needed. The friendly staff at reception were very helpful. I skipped the breakfast buffet after reading the reviews. The hotel bar was as dead as you would expect when the Leipziger Messe hosts a trade fair for orthopedic products.
Shuttle bus to the International Congress Centre was very useful. The hotel is quiet and good to sleep at night. Hotel's website says there is shuttle bus to the airport, but it is not true.
The hotel is clean. It is in an isolated location. The rooms are clean but poorly equipped. The hotel is grossly over-priced.
We have stayed at Hotel Vivaldi before and enjoyed it - hence this second booking. Cleanliness is good and staff are helpful; the breakfast is to a very high standard. The hotel's location suited our purposes very well: tram line 16 stops almost outside the door, and serves the Hauptbahnhof in one direction and the Messe in the other. Rooms with windows looking out over Wittenbergerstrasse can be noisy during the night. On both of our sojourns the weather was hot, necessitating open windows; in cooler weather (with windows closed) the street-noise may not be a problem.
The room is clean and tidy. The staff are helpful.
Breakfast was good We satyed at a three star hotel, there where no air condition and room was on 1st floor and had a lot of disturbance from the cars, buses, bustrains and ambulance (5 times on one night). The windows isolation for sound was bad.
Nice breakfast items - clean reception area Smokers in lobby. Would have liked more restaurants in the area.
The location, staff, cleanliness, great breakfast, quiet, underground parking available, English understood at desk, location to the rail, local shops, elevator for upper floors, and, the price was reasonable. We look forward to coming back at some point in the future. The bed was a little hard for us but many people prefer that. And the staff was willing to do what they could to help.
The staff and the space were very pleasant. A little too expensive, considering that it is very far from the Center of the city (although there is public transportation right at the door),
Parking on site and very easy to find. Well located near tram line.
Comfort apartment, responsible and sensitive staff, tramstop near Hotel There wasn't air-conditioner in the Hotel
The price and the great breakfasts.
Nice clean hotel Bit noisy (trams etc) but only to be expected of city centre hotel
Only one thing - the staff did not speak any english at all and I had to dig out my few German words I knew .... In an immediate vicinity of Fair Grounds and being in a big and famous Fair City - very surprising fact ! Information about city and services in room was in both German and English though ...
Good location (near tram station). Clean and comfortable.
I wanted a quiet hotel near to the Messe - this suited me perfectly. My only quibbles were 1) felt or foam pads on the doors would have stopped them banging (not really a problem, because the hotel wasn't full) and 2) no bedside lights so I had to turn on the TV to look at my watch to see what time it was. A small torch would have been useful
The room was nice and the hotel was in a quiet place, clean and comfortable, not to far of a drive to Leipzing from hotel by car. Outside of the city, more scenic and less conjested.Big rooms, good to sleep, absolutely perfect bathroom, nature around. Easy acsess to Leipzig center.
Although staff didn't speak much English they were very helpful. The one lady that did speak English was a wonderful help
good stuff no iron in hotel, next to railway, big noise at night, no clima, very hot inside the rooms
Very nice hotel stuff. Nice rooms. It is near the railways. Noise is not too high but not everybody can accept it. Not everybody from hotel stuff speaks english.
I liked all about location - nice place, silence, a bit of nature. It's very cosy. And about hotel itself - casual but really attractive building, the inner design very romantic. And everything in the room made our stay very comfortable. Of course, i liked a way we got our breakfast.
The room was nice and the hotel was in a quiet place. I was a little unhappy with the room cleaning service.
Clean and good and quiet. The view over the neighbour building, where there had been a fire some years ago, was not nice. Nothing had been done ever since with that building. The hotel was good, though. The room prices were good, but the breakfast a bit too expensive.
