A little difficult to find, but a great hotel, bar and restaurant. Anyone with a design interest will appreciate the way the hotel has been retrofitted into this old industrial building and retained the industrial aesthetic. The mezzanine bedrooms are great.
Quite rooms, good bed and pillows, excellent location and very good restaurant. Very friendly staff.
Poor breakfast choice, cleaning service should knock on the door before coming into the room. Why such a late check-in hour, if the rooms are cleaned so early in the morning?
Easy parking, comfy bed , close to transportation
No power points in the bedroom, no open window.
The beds were comfortable and the facilities modern. The cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. There were slippers and a dressing gown provided and towels and toiletries were replenished daily.
The hotel was really a restaurant with a hotel facility. The reception is in the restaurent and guests walk through to their rooms. There was little interest shown by staff when I arrived as it was Saturday and everyone was busy preparing for the evening meal including the receptionist. I felt all requests were seen as a nuisance. Language may have played a part as it is a small town and English poorly understood. A kitchen is advertised and was one of the reasons I chose the hotel, but it had no cooking pots or utensils, although there were two rings. They seemed to be just for show. There was not even a kettle although tea was provided and on Sunday you have to make your own breakfast as there are no staff. Food is provided, including raw eggs, so when I pointed out this problem, the staff were unsure what to do, but eventually provided a frying pan. I ended up providing my own saucepan for boiling water, as they only had a coffee machine. My stay included breakfasts and there was an option to eat in my room so given I seemed the only guest, I prefered this to sitting alone in a large empty dining room. Every day I told the receptionist I was a vegetarian and every day she offered me a platter of mainly meat with a little cheese. She would then remove the meat, leaving the remaining cheese on the same dish, no fruit or vegetables were ever offered. The bread reduced daily and the juice on the last. I had to repeatedly ask for milk and eggs. It didn't encourage me to dine there, although I asked to see a menu when I arrived. However none was provided during my stay, so I eventually decided not to bother. Regarding the room; it was not indicatated the sleeping area was up a steep flight of stairs, so anyone disabled could not stay in the hotel. It would also be difficult for some people to have a bathroom on the lower level, if they have to get up in the middle of the night.
Brand new rooms, I loved the design and all the amenities. The room was like a mini loft apartment. Excellent facilities.
