Pros: Nathalie the host met us with cool drinks and showed us maps and recommended places to visit in the area. The whole of the building was stunning with beautiful scented flowers and was really well cared for. The room was comfortable and full of character, with lots of attention to detail. Breakfast was made up of artisan produce made by Nathalie, home made yoghurt, apricot cake and cherry tart, along with ham , cheeses, breads and cereals - delicious! Both hosts Nathalie and Eric, were extremely friendly, and this stay will be hard to beat.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nathalie and Eric are the perfect hosts. They made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived with complementary cold drinks upon arrival up to bringing us an umbrella to the room when it was raining. The place is sparkling clean, and perfectly maintained. Breakfast is excellent, with quality products, and amazing home-made jams and deserts :) If you have the opportunity to have a dinner there, it is highly recommended, for the food, wine and company! Nathalie and Eric were always ready to give an advise, some tips about places to visit and restaurants, and made our holiday complete. The facility is specious, clean, in a natural, quiet area and close by Sarlat and other attractions. Both us and the kids enjoyed the stay there very much. Thank you both (and Cookie :))) for a wonderful time!!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were given such a warm and enthusiastic welcome by Nathalie and Eric that we felt immediately at home. The location near Sarlat and the Vezere valley was perfect for us and the property itself is immaculate, spotlessly clean and the grounds are really beautiful and peaceful. Nathalie recommended a great restaurant for us in Sarlat and we had a fantastic meal and a brilliant night. The breakfasts are excellent with home cooked cakes and amazing eggs! Thankyou Nathalie and Eric for a fantastic stay!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location was quiet and off the beaten path. The host are gracious and helpful. We loved that we could have 'petit soupers' on our first evening and not need to venture into town. It is a beautiful setting.

Pros: Hosts are amazing, friendly, helpful and so much fun to talk with. The breakfast and dinner were home cooked , plentiful, and delicious. Pros: Perfect  location in the perfect place to stay. Surrounded by endless greenery, quiet and romantic and  magical, just  10 minutes away from the city of Sarlat. The rooms are very large and modern fully equipped. The hosts are Eric and Nathalie, a charming couple who will do everything to make your stay enjoyable and un forgetible, and will be  more then happy to help with daily planning for tours , restaurants, etc. Breakfast is rich and include many self-made ingredients, cheeses, pastries, cakes, fruit, jams, delicious breads and more. We stayed in this wonderful place for 5 nights and loved every minute. Highly recommended

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great! The location was just outside Sarlat-la-Canéda. The facilities themselves were beautiful and recently renovated. Nathalie and Eric were extremely gracious, friendly and welcoming. This is one of the nicest guesthouse experiences I’ve had.
Cons: I liked everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely comfortable room, a good size and immaculately maintained. There is a sunny terrace where you can enjoy a drink from the bar. Local wines were our favourite. Eric and Nathalie were great hosts. We were offered a welcome cold drink when we arrived on a hot day and they spent time advising us on places to visit. If you are lucky enough to be staying when the Table d’hote supper is on offer then do take the opportunity to share one with your fellow guests and hosts. We were 4 couples at supper, each from a different country and both the food and company were outstanding. Breakfast was lovely and included the choice of cooked eggs. We really enjoyed our 4 days and were made to feel incredibly welcome.
Cons: Could not fault it.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous boutique hotel run by the lovely Marie Laure and Gerard who were excellent and very attentive hosts offering us advice and guidance and help with booking restaurants and activities. Breakfasts were amazing with multiple options which changed every day. We also ate in the hotel restaurant one evening and our meal was superb.
Cons: From our point of view the only downside was the distance from any other restaurants which meant a drive into Sarlat as the local restaurant in Marquay was closed and the taxis which operate in Sarlat don't operate out to Marquay even although it is only 12 km away.

Pros: Everything about our stay was exceptional. The comfortable room, the welcome drinks and suggestions about where to visit, the superb breakfasts and dinner.
Cons: Nothing could be faulted in any way.

Pros: The hosts were simply superb. Claude and Mario were incredibly helpful. Actually, they went an extra mile. Thanks! The atmosphere in this small boutique hotel was amazing: it felt like home. Breakfast was great: while sipping the coffee you have an amazing panoramic view. Also, an unexpected bonus for basketball aficionados: 200 metres away, there is a brand new open air basketball court. 7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel was in a good location for visiting the local area. Breakfast was excellent ....served in a lovely dining room. Super swimming pool area....used every day by us! Our room was very spacious.
Cons: We were in the annexe and would have preferred the main building. Food was too expensive for us to eat there in the evening. Breakfast isn't included in the overnight price which means it is quite an expensive place for what you get.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was very clean the staff most friendly and helpful The food was excellent Easy parking and close to town
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved it all. They very kindly upgraded us to a suite as it was a special anniversary. It had changed significantly since our first visit, 35 years ago. All for the better. The pool area is delightful.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location - Good location in the centre of the village. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Hotel - Lounge areas to sit. Free parking at the hotel. Breakfast an extra E15. Room - Nicely furnished with Tea & coffee, mini bar. We had a good sized balcony/terrace. Pool Area - Nice pool area with plenty of beds & shades. Towels. Staff - All very friendly and made to feel welcome.
Cons: Location - too close to the road & a junction. Hotel - Some outdoor furniture (white wrought iron tables and chairs - no nice red cushions) looking a bit run down; could be because mid-June is still early on the season? WiFi a bit temperamental and kept dropping out. Breakfast quite expensive at an extra E15; hence we went elsewhere. Room - A bit small for a Superior Room. Our balcony/terrace was a bit neglected and very overlooked. Hence not a very attractive area to sit in. Pool Area - No cushions for Pool furniture (as per pictures on websites).
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel with comfortable beds and strong WiFi. The owners could not possibly have been nicer. The location is perfect for visiting the prehistoric sites. They kindly let us leave our car in their lot for several hours after we had checked out.

Pros: Welcoming staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Swimming pool excellent.
Cons: Nothing, except perhaps the lack of a small grocery shop nearby.
7.0 Good
Pros: Laborderie is a nice hotel but we had a very small warm room where you could hardly move ... . This room was not seen on the photos on the internet. I surely would not have chosen such a room, it was not nice to stay and very warm. The hotel is nice and quiet and has a very nice swimming pool.
Cons: Laborderie is a nice hotel but we had a very small warm room where you could hardly move ... . This room was not seen on the photos on the internet. I surely would not have chosen such a room, it was not nice to stay and very warm. The hotel is nice and quiet and has a very nice swimming pool.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: WE DECIDED TO STAY AS WE WERE DINING AT THE HOTEL RESTAURANT, THIS TURNED OUT TO BE AN EXCELLENT DECISION AS THE FOOD WE WERE SERVED WAS SUBLIME.
Cons: THE ROOMS SEEMED TO BE A LITTLE BIT TIRED DECORATIVELY & WE HAD TO SEEK OUT A MEMBER OF STAFF AS THERE WAS NO CROCKERY OR MILK IN THE ROOM FOR MAKING COFFEE.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rural setting was restful, the restaurant was excellent, the pool was nice, and the staff was friendly.
Cons: Some of the road signs sent us on a roundabout route. Not the hotel’s fault.

Cons: nothing
6.8 Good
Pros: Pool was great and public spaces too
Cons: Room was need of updating and the food at restarting was poor
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful gardens, charming staff, wonderful food.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel and in general excellent - some of the rooms could do with some redecoration and repair but nothing major - think paintwork and bathroom modernisation. The restaurant is wonderful and has excellent service. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.
Cons: I wanted the casual restaurant to be open in the evenings...
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel in a great location to explore the local area. We ate at the restaurant on our first night - outside on the veranda - the food was exquisite as was the setting. Comfy bed, nice big sink in the bathroom, and loved the heated towel rack!
Cons: There was a motion sensing light in the hallway of our ensuite room. It was very handy when coming in & out of the room during the day but not so endearing when someone went to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
6.8 Good
Pros: Pool and service in restaurant and air conditioning
Cons: Room small and bathroom in need of upgrade and breakfast very expensive at 17 euros
7.5 Good
Pros: • Nice Swimming Pool and Gardens and pool towels provided • Nice room with air conditioning • Dinner was excellent and food was very good quality and well-cooked but rather expensive and very limited choice • Wine choice excellent
Cons: • Very limited menu with various supplements. The choice was too restricted - need to be able to choose "à la carte" and not from present very limited semi-fixed menu with various supplementary charges on almost half items shown. Also, this small menu remained unchanged for the 2 nights we were staying so this gave us even less choice - we decided to eat elsewhere on the 2nd night because of this. • No drinks/food service in the gardens or around the pool area. This is a big mistake and a missed revenue earning opportunity in my opinion. Nearly all similar hotels (even in this small town) provide this.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location excellent. Staff friendly
Cons: Rooms need updating, especially bathroom. Towels scratchy. Lunch was mediocre. Cost too expensive for room and food quality
9.5 Excellent

8.0 Excellent
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
6.0 Good
Pros: Our room was very comfortable and suited our needs well. Access to and from parking was a little difficult, especially at night. The garden area was very lovely.
Cons: We ate one dinner in the restaurant, which was disappointing as to quality and value. Our meal was not consistent with a "fine dining" reputation.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The quality/design of the rooms, fixtures and fittings - in particular a very comfy bed. The facilities of the hotel/gardens were really nice.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was so pleasant and comfortable. Food and food service was wonderful and fresh. Nice walk into the village and museum and great location to explore all the prehistoric sites plus the church beyond the the back garden is not to be missed as a fortified church.
Cons: The pool could use an update. The other guest reviews seem harsh. We had a room overlooking front courtyard and there was no road noise and we stayed for 4 nights. Parking was limited in regular space but enough spaces on sides of hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The garden. the ambience. the staff and beautiful food all excellent.
6.6 Good
Pros: We booked the junior siute for our 25th wedding anniversary and were delighted with the accommodation.
Cons: Had dinner onthe night of our anniversary and though the service was good the sommalier lost interest leaving us to pour the second half of the bottle ourselves.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the feeling of decor, the proprietors, the amazing garden with pool - and the food was a gastronome's delight - impeccable service and quality - presentation - and the outdoor terrace are beyond description.

Cons: It was a great stay, nothing to change. The break was was OK, and they did charge €4 for a single cup of coffee when we missed the buffet, which seems high.

Pros: The hotel is in an amazing location, breakfast is next to a small river, great staff, air-conditioned rooms, we really enjoyed it.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. The building and its environment are absolutely beautiful. Staff members are genuinely friendly and make you feel welcome. Our room was nicely decorated and very clean. Ideally located in Les Eyzies. Overall, great value for the price. Some people were complaining about the breskfast in their reviews: well, it is a French breakfast - but in my opinion, a good one.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting along the river, centrally located, excellent restaurant, lovely 400-year-old building, friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: No A/C and no fans. Room was hot in July. Our room had no shower--only a tub with a hand-held sprayer. I understand that this is common in older hotels in France. The staff kindly changed us to another room with a shower (a tiny one), although the room was smaller and the view was inferior. Some of the staff speak almost no English.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, beautiful setting , very romantic.
Cons: no sink in the wc, and no foreign languages tv channels. Staff was very nice but overwhelmed and not always available

Pros: Many things. Location central and near train. Great roomy room. Lovely to sit outside and have a drink before dinner. The bonus was for us - we needed to have our bags stored for a week as we were off cycling around the region. The manager Valerie didn’t hesitate to allow us to store the bags despite there not being much room to do so. Thanks!
Cons: Not anything bad. Meals a little on ordinary side. Good but not “excellent”
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful, the accomodations are comfy and the staff is fantastic. I highly recommend dining at the hotel's restaurant. I will come back.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very best dinner menu in town. if you are tired of duck offerings on the Avenue de Préhistoire, eat at the Cro-Magnom. Really good food, quiet setting. Breakfast for clients was worth the price as well. Plenty of protein. We stayed five nights, comfortable bed and very convenient parking. Owners were helpful and spoke good English.
Cons: Internet not available in room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The aesthetic of the hotel is wonderful; built into the cliff wall for a cave-like atmosphere with very nice decor. The bed was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I can ever remember sleeping in. Staff is very helpful and friendly, as well as knowledgeable about the surrounding area and sites to see. The pictures of the Hotel Cro-Magnon online are certainly nice, but the reality is in fact much nicer, and the value for price is incredible! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

Pros: Lovely and very stylishly decorated hotel and room. Everything looked spotlessly clean. Our room was not large but that is usually the case in France. Bed very comfortable! 6.3 Good
Pros: The annexe to the hotel - once we managed to find it - was cheap and centrally placed
Cons: The hotel manager was very helpful but the lady running the annexe was monosyllabic even in her own language, and the fact that the water cut off during the night was inconvenient.

Pros: What a lovely couple, Brigitte and Jean. Made us feel very welcome and always there around for a chat and advice. The hotel was very quiet during our stay in mid June, and we expect it will be a lot busier during the summer months. A lovely pool for a cooling dip when the heat gets too much, and plenty of shade from the sun. A handy spot, leave your car on the drive and walk into town for a drink, a nice meal or a longer walk through and around the town. For my wife and I, it was an ideal base to explore the area. Thank-you Brigitte and Jean.

5.0 Okay
Pros: There is nothing really to recommend it except the lovely location. There are a lot of touristic places close by.
Cons: The food was not good; my husband discovered mold on his paté and the eggs in the morning were rotten. The bread was stale. The shower water ran over onto the floor, flooding the bathroom. When we said something to the owner, he seemed nonchalant about it. I thought the bed was very hard as well. There was no wifi in the room.

Pros: Hotel is in a remote, suuuper nice and calming location. The staff is nice and helpful. Rooms are clean. The swimmingpool is clean and working, without any particular opening hours which is great! In the hotel there is also a restaurant. Really great place for a calm and extremely relaxing time!
Cons: The only thing I missed is kettle in the room
