9.3 Excellent
Pros: We liked the breakfast very much - fresh bread etc which is all too rare even in French B&Bs The room was quiet and comfortable and although we never quite worked out the air con the room temperature was fine in any case. Very comfortable bed and all was kept very clean and tidy but not in a fussy way.
Cons: The property is quite close to an occasionally busy road but it was not something one ever noticed and the room was very quiet. It did mean walking from the property to the village was not something that appealed however.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The design of our room was amazing (big window). The environment of the accommodation is perfect.
Cons: They don't have Wi-Fi in the room, but maybe it is for better :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: On the country. Very pretty & quiet.

Pros: Christophe the owner was so fantastic. No effort was to much. Nice conversations, great breakfast but most of all his versatile and sweet personality. Thanks again for the wine, water and cake Christophe you gave us on our way home. We are your biggest fans!! Someday soon we will be back!! Chapeau!!! Big hug from Peter and Ina.
Cons: Nothing!!!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the fact that we were the only ones in the house. Great views out the window of the water with swans on it and the chateau next door.
Cons: That we had to leave.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was absolutely outstanding and unique place to stay. Christophe and Pascale were such warm and lovely hosts
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like
10.0 Excellent
Pros: At the end of our driving trip in Normandy, we made an excellent choice to stay in this very special place for two nights. Manoir de Livet has been lovingly restored by Christophe and Pascale who now enjoy being able to share it. They operate a café at ground level of the building, but when it closed at 6.30pm, we, as the only guests were entirely on our own - in addition to our delightfully furnished bedroom and bathroom, we enjoyed the use of the library and the peaceful terrace where we particularly enjoyed a picnic dinner. The Manoir is in a beautiful and peaceful setting overlooking Chateau de Saint Germain de Livet. Our hosts Christophe, Pascale and their three sons were very welcoming and generous.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Having the manoir for us, full privacy The renovation that was performed is extremely well done, the library next to the room in particular The room is very romantic The view from the room on the water and the castle
Cons: Nothing that we did not like, the place is wonderful both inside and outside The Manoir could be better indicated with some signs, I went into the castle to know where the entrance was => a sign that is more visible to indicate the entrance of the manoir would be a plus
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional place - it's above all my expectations. Imagine: you live alone in beautiful old mansion, you can spend your time on the big terrace in front of main building, in your room (with great decoration and very comfortable bed), in the library on the second floor and in restaurant room with fireplace on the first floor. It's very quiet, relax place. Until 6P.M. the restraunt is open, after that time the owners leave you alone. The hosts are very nice people, it's a pleasure to be their guests. Very good breakfast is served on the terrace. In front of the mansion there is castle Saint-Germain-de-Livet - you have great view on it and can go to the excursion inside. Also there is reserved parking place and the hotel is in very comfortable location - it's close to Honfleur, Douville and Cidre route.
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is outstanding, a 17 century manor, facing across a pond a beautiful medieval Chateau . The room is tastefully decorated with antiques, bed ultra comfortable, bathroom with both shower + old fashion bathtub and separate toilet. The breakfast is yummy with fresh baguette , croissants, home made jams, fresh orange juice, brewed Coffee, yoghurt and a delicious apple and berries warm crumble which comes with a decadently smooth fresh Normandy cream! The best thing about this place is the total nature immersion with sounds of birds and sights of swans swimming graciously in the pond, a pair of stunning resident peacocks and Eden , the adorable resident chocolate Labrador . The great surprise about this residence is that there is only one room which means that you have the whole property( including a lovely library and a garden) all to yourself. The owners leave in a separate house across the street. The hosts Christophe and his wife are very accommodating and with great tips on what to do and where to eat in the neighborhood. Don’t miss a visit to the adjoining Castle where you can visualize what it was to live in aristocratic luxury in the old days. Also remarkable rarely seen paintings by the cousin of Delacroix. A very strategically located spot to explore the best part of Normandie.
Cons: Every thing was beyond expectations !

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Sweet apartment with a small lounge with open plan kitchen area and wc downstairs, bedroom and shower room up a spiral staircase. Lovely setting with fields all around.
Cons: There was a sloping ceiling in the bedroom so the head height was a bit restricted at one side of the bed. Perhaps a bit overpriced.

7.5 Good
Pros: Very confortable, cleane, stylish accomodation. Big garden, host very friendly.
Cons: Breakfast was in fact quite basic, addition of eggs and (Normandese) cheeese would be most welcome, the price would warrant it too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning location/views, lovely host who provided a very warm welcome and it was a very peaceful place with no noise.
Cons: Duvets too thick for summer
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a wonderful place - stunning views of Normandy countryside and a warm welcome. The rooms were comfortable and charming and it was so peaceful. Our hostess provided a delicious home cooked dinner and freshly baked madeleines for breakfast.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Set in the breathing taking outskirts of Lisieux, the grounds of this truely outstanding B&B defies description. Our accommodation was immaculately clean and an imaginative mix of modern and old furnishings and fittings. Our hosts (Marie-Jeanne and Clarence) could not have made us feel more welcome, we spent our honeymoon at La Bihorée, a little patch of heaven. The breakfasts provided was made the freshest of local produce (some ingredients straight from the garden). Marie-Jeanne is an excellent and enthusiastic cook and offers evening meals (with 24 hour notice), we enjoyed our first evening meal so much we asked Marie-Jeanne to prepare us a meal each alternate evening...sublime! When dining out, we relied on recommendations provided by our hosts and were never disappointed. This review could not be complete with mentioning our four legged hosts, Jack and Lelu...great fun and just as welcoming. Four beautiful cats owned by Marie-Jeanne and Clarance roam the lawns and private woodland welcomed us in their individual feline way. Thank you to La Bihorée, all of you...we hope to see you very soon. ❤️
Cons: Not one thing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice and friendly owner. Exellent breakfast, family atmosphere.
Cons: A small refrigerator may be a good addition.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The setting was beautiful and the contrast between modern walls and 400 year old timber framing was outstanding.
Cons: There is only a sheer curtain separating sleeping quarters #1 from the bathroom. Thus, there was little real privacy for the person staying in sleeping quarters #2 when taking a shower, etc. They could completely cure this by replacing the sheer curtain with one providing more privacy. I was unable to see this from the photos or would have been concerned since my wife and I were staying in sleeping quarters #2 and a female friend was staying in sleeping quarters #2

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and a very good size with cute little touches. The bed was comfortable, there were lovely doors that opened up for a nice breeze, and a good sized wardrobe. The bath room was in good shape, with decent counter space and clean. We were able to park in their secure garage next door very easily. The location is an easy walk to restaurants. Check in and out were easy. Staff was friendly enough. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent place to stay for a reasonable price.
Cons: The lobby/lounge/bar area is a bit rundown and could use some sprucing up. Although there is an elevator inside, you must walk up several steps to get to the door outside. So just beware of that if you have any physical limitations.

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The room was large.
Cons: My husband and I were shocked to find that we were allocate wing of what is a retirement home for very elderly residents and the facilities reflected this. Please be transparent about this on your website.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: Very very very difficult to find. No external signage or reference. Sign outside actually says retirement home. It’s an old church complex. Very poor.
5.0 Okay
Cons: It is a home for senior people so it smelled like it as well. And rooms were adjusted for elderly people so staying there as a young couple made the experience Really weird

5.0 Okay
Cons: The front desk clerk was a real jerk;
5.8 Okay
Cons: "Please note that an automatic check-in machine is available outside of reception opening hours. Your access code is your booking number without dots." This thing did not work, no way to get in before somebody arrives at 5pm.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Automatic check-in check-out budget hotel. Didn't speak to a staff member at all during our stay. Automatic check in at panel on front door which worked well. Clean and tidy. Good access to city with own transport. Free parking and wifi. Great value for money.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: clean basic room for overnight stay
Cons: The room smelled a bit.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Good Breakfast.
Cons: Like living in a box. Claustrophobic, small window.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: All was as described and expected. Good value for money, OK for a one night stay during holiday in Normandy. During the night it was more quiet than I first expected (it is in the commercial area of Lisieux, on the outskirts), but traffic starts early and so do the cleaning ladies on the corridor:-), so you will not find it hard to get up on time to carry on with your travel. It was overall OK, I would go for it again. Recommended.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It was very clean
Cons: It is small.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were quite small but the space was maximized. It was a fun room to stay in.
5.0 Okay
Pros: It had adequate parking.
Cons: This was a budget hotel, I know that, but the breakfast choices were poor. The third bed in the room was difficult, plus the bed was not comfortable. It did not feel at all like the Ibis we expected. The staff were OK, but the hotel seemed to be an impersonal 'flat-pack' with nothing to make the customer feel welcome.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Easily the worst Ibis Budget I've stayed at. Poor quality and poorly managed.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were clean and, the beds were comfortable. There was a good selection of choices for breakfast in the morning. We asked for a twin room but were given a double and single bed in the same room at no extra cost which was good. We arrived early but, check in was not till 3pm but, the lady at the desk let us leave our luggage with them so, we didn't have to carry it with us.
Cons: Only one complaint was that the shower hose rail was coming away from the wall.

Pros: Breakfast and location
Cons: Bathroom needs refreshing
5.5 Okay
Pros: Information provided is deceiving.
Cons: Honesty.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Location was good for the centre of town.
Cons: The complimentary Tea and Coffee in an disposable plastic cup and no milk was poor. Shower was not good and door almost broken and difficult to operate (cheap product) Bed was not at all comfortable. Staff were OK, but at breakfast was not really welcomed and made to use a Tray so the receptionist did not have to wipe the table.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location and it was clean. I felt secure. Even through I arrived early I was able to check in.
Cons: I decide to try the breakfast it was buffed style nice variety but for 9 euros I expected more. It was equivalent to other breakfasts that I only paid 5 euros.
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast and the baguette were marvelous
Cons: The room should at least have water since u put tea cups
5.0 Okay
Pros: The receptionist was charming and head waiter was almost as delightful as the food was a total surprise. Don’t let the rooms put you off eating in the restaurant, it is a revelation. Awful beds dreary room, bathroom mirror lights were filthy although bed linen clean. Bed was shockingly uncomfortable and on wheels, almost as though it had been borrowed from a family member when they realised they had over booked!
Cons: Room

6.3 Good
Cons: The most unpleasant hostess. She insisted that we arrive at 19h30 exactly and wanted a wire transfer. We finally agreed on paying cash. The next we had to leave early in the morning. My son left his glasses in the room so I went back to pick it up. The hostess almost attacked us because we didn’t turn the car around correctly. Nice establishments but to avoid at all cost as the hostess is very very unpleasant.
6.3 Good
Pros: Beautiful location, charactetistic atmosphere, large garden, nice family, breakfast in style, offers of fresh fruits and coffee/tea during day.
Cons: No keys to lock room door. From inside only an old stiff slide. Only one contact point in room. No WiFi in rooms (is mentioned though). No cleaning, for example bins of changing towels in 3 days.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property. Comfortable and elegant. Karen and Frederick are great hosts and the food was excellent. Karen cooked a wonderful breakfast and a fantastic evening meal. Eat there don't go out is our advice.
Cons: It rained!
7.0 Good
Pros: the garden setting was beautiful
Cons: The address given was not correct. It was given as 130 Chemin de l"eglise which is correct but the village was said to be Hermival-les-Vaux which is wrong and the GPS would not recognise that address. It was in fact in the village of FirFol which the GPS accepted. It took us ages driving around to try to find the place and then we called the owner who clarified the correct address. Also in was awkward for the check in to only begin at 19.00
8.8 Excellent
Pros: House is old, interesting, and has a large garden Good breakfast but a little expensive compared with other French sites
Cons: Room was quite small - no room for bedside cabinet so no bedside light No glass for water - we were offered a glass but didn't realise there wouldn't be one in the room No TV in room Wifi very flakey Wouldn't have found the property from the booking.com site location. Hostess sent excellent details though. Needs a welcome sheet in the room to explain facilities. Without wifi, we couldn't check
6.8 Good
Pros: Nice welcome and gave some tips on what to visit in the area
Cons: Address completely wrong town. Breakfast very stingy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a very nice little Castle (romantic too), that’s well kept to preserve its history, with antique furniture, decorations and beautiful landscaping. Karen who speaks English and French fluently has such a great history knowledge and knows interesting stories with a nice sense of humor too. She enjoys spending time with her guests as she is a genuine host who is passionate about making everyone feel comfortable and excited about their time at the Castle! We arrived very late (after 11:00pm), and after getting settled in, and she found out that we had not had dinner, she offered to get us something ready; which was a very nice dinner at midnight! Breakfast with the fresh squeezed orange juice and strawberries from the garden was a nice touch. The money we paid for the dinner and breakfast was very reasonable, as it was so tasty, and convenient. It does not reflect the hard work that Karen and her staff provide to please her guests. We recommend people to go out of their way to experience a “romantic trip back in history” as we did!... Thank you very much Karen. We hope to visit you soon again. Pascal, Paola & Sammie
Cons: We wished that we had more time to spend there to appreciate activities and site scenery around there, but we were in a hurry as our trip was coming to an end.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful large residence set back from the road. Very friendly and helpful hosts - wonderful breakfast. Beautiful surrounds and furnishings
5.0 Okay
Pros: The property is old country mansion with some preserved furniture- it looks quite romatic.
Cons: We felt uncomfortable, because all furniture and even beds were covered with plastic, our host was too enthusiastic and secure at the same time ( asking to pay her cash for one night as we just arrived). The breakfast was too expensive ( 12eu per person only for Croissants, 1egg ( no more!- as we were asking), some jam, bad coffee and package tea. The check in time is too late ( 19h)

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: There was secure parking for our motorcycles. The reception paid homage to the D-Day celebrations. Not much else positive to say, really.
Cons: This was the most expensive hotel during our trip, but definitely the most disappointing. The rooms were small. The bathroom was a plastic pod affair. The pillow was a small envelope of foam lumps. The place looked tired and somewhat neglected. Definitely would not stay here again.

7.0 Good
Pros: Quiet, large room. Nice big open windows overlooking trees. Comfy bed. Close to station.
Cons: Staff could barely be bothered to serve me in the restaurant. No menu brought, was just presented with a salad, not asked what I wanted. Took ages to be served both for check in and in the restaurant. Very quick to take money. Wondered if being english influenced this...
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Leaving , getting far away as poss
Cons: Rooms could do with a refresh , and come to that so could the rest of the hotel Breakfast is low and they kidnapped the room key once we went out and gave it back once we paid. Got woke up at 11.30 by reception on phone why I dont know. Hotel reception area locks up at night, breakfast was late by 30minutes as they open up for you . All in all look elsewhere terrible little hotel stayed in better for a lot less money I'm not just saying I stay in at least 15 hotels in france every year on annual bike tour
