Everything is good, the pillows are a bit thin, but everything is clean and the location is good. Staying on the ground floor is less relaxing due to interior doors slamming and the front door slamming (staying in house 197 Sumatra Road Room 1,2 or 3). Get a receipt for your key deposit as they don't always charge for it and the last time I went they said they didn't have the money I gave them and so (by conclusion) effectively accused me of stealing.
They lost my £5 deposit for the key and so accused me of trying to claim for something I didn't pay for, but I most certainly did! They are just a little bit disorganised on the booking side. I've also booked there before and when I arrived there was "no room at the inn". Not much fun to find out at 1am in the morning! I think every room I've stayed in the shower head and/or hose has been broken or spraying everywhere, but the temperature and amount of water has been in good order.
Great breakfast choice. Near to shops bars , restaurants and the Tube. Room is basic but nice. Staff really good particularly at breakfast.
Front door could be made to look more up market. Doors a bit noisy.
The girl at the check in was very friendly and helpful
The room was off and the heating not working. When I told the girl at the check out she didn’t do or say much to apologise or offer a solution.
The staff were so kind and lovely The rooms were very comfortable Breakfast was amazing The location is excellent Very reasonable price
1. We were in the room on the top floor so there were a lot of stairs. 2. In the bath, the water were ether freezing or too hot
Always enjoy my stay at the Charlotte. It's great value for money if I'm staying in London It's my first go-to place If I'm lucky to get a room I grab it quickly. V easy access to underground and overland stations into central London. Rooms very clean and comfortable, staff always there for advice, and most important to kick off your day a full English breakfast served by efficient friendly staff. Don't tell many people about it. I like to keep this my secret in London.
Not getting a room !...
The Charlotte Guest House is a small, intimate bed and breakfast in London that emphasizes its service to both leisure guests and business travelers. The biggest amenity offered by the hotel is the breakfast itself because there are a lot of different options including the traditional English breakfast, eggs served any style, toasted sandwiches, the continental breakfast and also there are ham and cheese melts available. All of the breakfast options are served with the choice of coffee or tea. There are also plenty of vegetarian options for guests who prefer a breakfast that lacks meat.
As for the rooms at the Charlotte Guest House, there are 43 different rooms that are located in 5 different buildings on the property.
