Central location for exploring Spittalfields, the City etc. Could buy food etc. nearby. After a day's sightseeing it was great to get back to our luxury accommodation and chill out. We were thrilled to be in the top floor penthouse. Views amazing! Wish we'd taken binoculars.
For once quality at a fair price in London!
The rooms were new and clean
There was no one to check us in at 1am, after we specifically checked that there would be. We stood in the freezing cold until a fellow guest came down and let us into reception. Rang and it took another half an hour for the gentleman to arrive. It was so loud on the Saturday night, lots of drunken parties taking place in apartments on our floor, ringing the bell at all hours and banging on the door. Oh and the wireless internet only works in reception, no connection in the apartment. Its also not central and long way from places to eat and enjoy in London.
reservation staff are very rude ,will not cooprate with you at all
I really enjoyed how spacious the rooms were and also how you felt that when you were in the apartments it was like you were in your own flat, not a service apartment.
size of the flat
no foreign channels on TV
Handy location; helpful staff; nicely-appointed, brand-new apartment.
Online request at time of booking for extra bed had not been noted in the system so staff had to check if this would be available; apartment was generally clean but dining table had not been cleaned and still had crumbs on it; sheets used by previous occupant had not been removed from the sofa-bed mattress so we had to strip bed before re-making it. Didn't get any clean towels throughout 5-day stay & shower screen leaked so that by the time 3 people had showered, the bathroom floor was very wet. No grab-rails by the bath and the bath was very slippery - my husband slipped and fell, badly bruising his ribs on the edge of the bath. Several very noisy groups of people returning to our floor in the early hours of Saturday morning woke us up repeatedly (it was the night of the England vs usa World Cup match!!!). Entrance vestibule design would be better if the front door opened on the right instead of the left, or if the bathroom door opened facing the bedroom instead of the front door (Marlin Apartments Aldgate, Flat 70).
Very clean and well appointed apartment, also very quiet.
2 heaters didn't work on arrival, so the apartment was cold. Eventually the service engineer did get them working but only that night. They did not work again in the morning
Staff very freindly and helpful and upgraded us to a two bed apartment with great views of Canary wharf!
Very new, clean, quiet room with excellent view over London towards Canary Wharf. 24 hour access and check in. Close to Aldgate East tube (3 minute walk).
Couldn't find the place ! They really need a sign outside, but again as they've only just opened, this could well be on the way.
