The room was in good condition. No dresser and no blow dryer in room. Beds were clean. Pretty average for 2star hotel. The staff did try to keep an extra $10 from my change. The male staff made me go to the arm to pay him because he couldn't figure out his debit machine. When we came back the female role me my payment was $95. T was 85. then purposely gave me wrong chang
The hotel is conveniently located and fairly well kept. The room had a refrigerator, a microwave, and a hairdryer. There was also a bathtub, not just a shower. There was also a little table and chairs. Parking was free and fast food and gas is nearby. The area of town isn't great, but it's okay. We felt safe enough. The walls are a little thin, but not too bad. The bedding was just the sheets and the bedspread - though we probably could have got a blanket if we asked. The heater was loud, but worked.
I love that this hotel had wifi! It really helped on my trip
The room was clean and comfortable. Large screen, plenty of room, good internet. The wood floors better than carpet. The ceiling was painted with a mural which gave the room character. This was as good a 2 star that I have seen, and better than some 3's. The towels were not smooth, but rather rough; definitely need softner.
The service was great, the room was clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating! There is also a police station a couple of blocks away. The area is shoddy at best and the clientele was a bit shady --during my stay I saw several people use a room for an hour or two followed by a quick clean up.
Friendly Staff. Very hospitable. No coffee pot in the room and tried to order food to be delivered with absolutely no luck.
Super friendly staff and extremely clean rooms. Will definitely stay there again. Loved having the microwave and refrigerator in the room. Also it was very conveniently located :-) Beds were a little hard and just a few noisy neighbors, the walls are kinda thin.
This hotel was in a questionable neighborhood my employees stay here I booked their rooms they very frightened and got very little sleep. There was no hot water and ants in the shower. same as above
The room was very clean. The location wasn't That desirable
Rooms were okay Mattress too hard. No ice available. Could also use small coffee pots with all the supplies in room. Had to go out and buy coffee in the morning.
The ceilings are a special artistic treat! Simply amazing It's not in an area you wanna stay but it's close to where you wanna go!
Very nice people, close-enough to the Aquarium, etc., parking right in front of the room. Little fridge, microwave, hair dryer. Definitely adequate for our needs. The kid got a kick out of the black light painting on the ceiling. Bed was a little hard, not awful. Could've used a couple extra pillows and the soap is very tiny.
That I would not cancel my reservation.
The ambiance of the room/place is not good. My 6-year old son said the place is creepy. I didn't like our room,1st day my son and i couldn't sleep because of the 2 mystery doors. My husband called the office and asked what are those two creepy doors. They said the 1st door is an old kitchen and 2nd one is a connecting door to the other room. The bedsheets were pretty dirty,my husband asked them to change it but they didnt. They just fixed it. Good thing i am not scared of spiders. In the bathroom you will see some. No microwave. I am sorry for the bad review. What i like is that the motel is near the airport and free parking.
Location and breakfast. rooms clean and very well maintained
Everything! The manager was nice the room was clean and the view was nice.
Good location and staff. Rooms are clean, site is in decent neighborhood and a good value for the money. Bathrooms are a bit dated but clean and functional. Easy access to LA area right off the PCH. It's a comfortable place to stay for the money. Contential breakfast is decent. Don't expect a luxury hotel, but it's decent & comfortable for the money. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for good value.
Nothing Unclean, bad service, not recommended to stay
It was disgusting! Bathroom was dirty. No wifi connection
It was a great deal, close enough to the convention center, the room was big and nice.
Nothing. Stayed there on a Friday night and the music from restaurant/club across the street was blaring till about 2am. Bathroom was practically in disrepair. Sink faucet knob turned all the way around and didn't stop-- you had to find the sweet spot to turn it off. Tub drain plug was laying outside drain. Location was sketchy. Key card didn't work at the back entrance, so I had to walk all the way around. When I told the front desk person that I needed a new key card, he said I didn't-- it worked everywhere else except the back door.
Reasonably priced, close to nearby restaurants, coffee shops, bus station and attractions. Awoke in the middle of one of the nights to a honking car in the parking lot. Lots of traffic noise in this location. Poor breakfast choices. No air conditioning in the hallways.
The room was a good size, but that's about where the compliments end. Some of the staff were very friendly, but there seemed to be some neglect of keeping things on track at the front desk. *see the rest of my review* The parking was inadequate to say the least. The flooring in the bathroom was coming up in several places. The beds were VERY loud, so not great when you're trying not to wake up everyone else in the room when you move any bit. The breakfast, while I didn't expect much, was even worse then expected. There was only apples, bananas, some prepackaged danishes, mini super sweet chocolate chip muffins, 2 types of cereal in some plastic storage containers to pour from, and then the breakfast drink in a fountain drink style machine. The pool was unheated, not that I really expected it to be, and for some reason, you weren't allowed to get back to your room, after going in the pool, using the elevator. The walls of the hallway had air pockets in the paint. It seemed like it needed a renovation about 10+ years ago and they're still putting it off. Windows don't really do much to keep out sound or air. The AC never got the room cool at night even when we had it at 60° the entire stay. The elevator was very janky and made weird noises as it slowly moved. There were so many things wrong, I'm sure I'm forgetting many. Also, while I was there, someone came out of the elevator smoking a lit cigarette which made the elevator just a cloud of smoke. I have asthma and smoke highly affects me and I was shocked. I braved the elevator with my shirt over my face and trying to hold my breath as long as possible since I was on the top floor and wasn't able to take the stairs. I then went straight to my room to call the front desk so they could do something about it, and the line was busy. I assumed it was still busy down there seeing as I just came from there, so waited a few minutes and tried again, and got the same thing. I tried a few more times over the next 15-20 minutes and it was a busy tone the whole time. I could see the front desk from my room's window and so I checked to see if it was really that busy right then, and it looked empty other than the worker behind the desk. I saw the guy there not on the phone and had called right before and after I looked out the window and still got nothing. As it was already almost 10 and my friends had already gone to bed; I couldn't keep calling the front desk. When I told them in the morning at check out, they basically said that there is nothing they can do about what people choose to do when they know they're not supposed to do said thing. Maybe they could've if they'd picked up the phone and not left it off the hook. They had video camera too. This seems neglectful of them. I will not be going back for many reasons and do not recommend to others.
The pool was closed and their idea of continental breakfast was cereal and bananas. :(
Checking Out There was no power when we got there so we were given candles to light the rooms. No electricity for two days. Roomed smelled and the candles they gave us smelled worse.
nothing everything cancelled our reservations I would never consider staying at the Vagabond. The male at the desk was very inconsiderate. No customer service.
Cheap, friendly, close to town. No TP in the room upon arrival, clearly layers of carpetting piled on each other, desk clerk lost four fingers on one hand.
Location was good. Bed was fixed and clean. Welcoming enough. Facilities and rooms need updating. Rust on anything metal and needs new paint. For just an overnight stay it was fine but not for a vacation stay.
The staff was great. A very clean hotel. This hotel is out dated. Needs paint and upgraded bathrooms. Carpet is worn so it looks dirty, which it isnt. It also needs more parking. Has one third that it needs. Our car was three deep. Also this is not the best neighborhood!!! Y-fi didn't work most of the time. The continental breakfast could be upgraded also. 2 cerals, coffee, juice, bananas and chocolate chip mini-muffins. That was it.
Location was good.. Room smelled of smoke. Wall paper was peeling off walls. Bath and sink fixtures were old and in poor condition. Furnishings were old and in poor condition.
nothing i was gross
The location was great, from there I would not recommend this place to my enemy The Management is most unfriendly, the rooms are dirty after cleaning, the bathroom was so small I had to stand in shower to. Close the door. I was so uncomfortable I left a day early.
The staff was helpful and friendly. The location was great and within walking distance of many places worth visiting. There were some loud noises from time to time. It was either construction or the water pipes.
Clean room Fast WiFi ice machine /microwave/ fridge A few ants crawling around Have to keep re-authenticating WiFi Shower floods the bathroom floor with normal usage
In the motel there were samples of cosmetics products, so U don´t need yr own shampoo, soap, shaver, ... There was a refrigerator in the room. There was old equipment, damaged fridge, old towels, bad windows which is not available to close fully.
The area is quiet. It's just a mediocre hotel but it's sufficient to sleep in. There is very little parking. We had to drive around for a space on the street and finally someone left for dinner or something, so we took their spot. Also, you will need cash to check in for the key deposit. I had to go get money since I didn't happen to have $10 on me.
My room was spacious, clean and quite recently renovated. Overall more than I had expected based on price and location. The immediate surroundings of the hotel are quite dreary and not inviting a stroll either before or after sunset.
There was not much to like about roayl inn motel, but at least the room was clean and they had free wi-fi. The location was really bad, far from everything and the area was a bit dodgy. We didn't feel safe to walk around, especially not in the night time. The staff was weird and pretty rude. They said a continental breakfast was included, but it was only a cheese bun. Don't stay there, unless you only need somewhere to sleep for a night.
all the parking spaces were taken so the owner gave me his personal parking spot! also reasonable rates, everything worked in the room. not the nicest neighborhood but not dangerous by any means.
The bed was a good size and in was able to check in early. The hotel isn't in the best area and is quite far from the centre on Long Beach ($25 dollar cab)
I appreciated that the manager allowed me to check out an hour later at no extra cost, as I had an event that morning which I anticipated would go longer than planned. Upon opening the door, there was an immediate stench and could not figure out if it was from the AC or the carpet, and it was constant. The towels were like sandpaper. Aside from that, it was clean and quiet and walking distance to good Cambodian food. I really wasn't expecting much, and I didn't need the room for very long, but I do feel it was a bit overpriced.
I was within walking distance of where I had to be for work...and I had a place to sleep after working a long couple of days. When I arrived, the carpet was so damp that I nearly slipped when I walked into the bathroom. The guy at the front desk said I would get cleaning service after my second night, but when I came back at 2pm, my bed wasn't made and I still had dirty towels. There was a loud shouting match between a couple in the room next to me that took place around 9am as I was waking up and carried on for a good two hours. Little Cambodia is not the safest neighborhood in Long Beach, I don't plan on staying there the next time I have to be in Long Beach for business.
the big king bed and the quiet room where i requested: second floor distant from the main street. 2 dead fly when i arrived the first day. also some long black hair in the bathroom and one dirty towel with splash of black or hair.
Price and locations are good. The staff that received us was terrible. He was sleeping and we had to wait like half an hour before he woke up and then he was not nice with us.
The room was so dirty that there were cockroaches crawling on the pillow and some unknown woman's hair on the bed sheet....It might not be the worst hotel for that price I paid, but it is definitely the dirtiest hotel I have ever seen in this country!
Litterally nothing When we informed them that we were bringing our service dog they magically didnt have any rooms left even though we had prebooked. I told them that they couldnt turn us away for having a service dog and they just kept saying no pets allowed, he is not a pet he is a medically prescribed service dog. It is illegal for them to do this and I have reported them to the bbb.
The price was decent for a last minute reservation. Well, there was no blanket, the towels were cheap and the pillows were very thin. The people close to our room smoked marijuana and location was a bit sketchy.
That my car did not get broken into. Initially, I was given a key to a room that already had someone in it. The employee/owner was wearing pajamas. After getting a key to a vacant room, upon walking in it wreaked of mildew. The sheets were wrinkled. After spending less then 5 minutes in the room I had already decided I will not stay here and essentially used the location as an $80 parking spot while I was at an event at the Queen Mary. Yelp reviews had stated this motel will not refund for cancellation so I didn't even bother. When returning to the room after the event attended, the bedding (Sheets/Blankets) were completely removed from the bed and laying on the floor. Leading me to believe someone had come in the room through the window and used the room for whatever... Needless to say, my girlfriend and I did not stay the night as it was unsanitary and personally, unsafe. This place should be removed from any hotel booking site and left for the vermin that inhabit it locally.
As I pulled in I had the feeling of 'oh boy' this looks....nice....oh boy. However, i was pleasantly surprised. Ink n iron weekend decided to find a room last minute. This place was came through for us. A bit sleazy. But if you don't mind that. The rooms are large, and everything worked well.
I liked the statue of an elephant laying down outside by the parking spaces, but that's about it. Everything else but the elephant. We were greeted at the office with a bunch of paper signs on the window saying "no" to this and that, and everything. Unfortunately, we didn't take this as a warning NOT to stay here. When we got into the room, it was plain -- a couple of chairs, a desk with cigarette burns, a king-sized bed (with 3 standard sized pillows) that was dipping in the middle, TV hanging with questionable wiring, bathroom that constantly smelled like pee. It was terrible. I was afraid to turn the light off when going to bed, but it flickered off on its own while I was trying to sleep. I didn't even want to turn the bathroom light off at night so I didn't step on the nasty carpet, however this light would also flicker on and off periodically throughout the night and into the early morning. The air conditioner sounded like it wanted to die because it wanted to get out of this place. We walked down the street to get some drinking water, and on our way back, right outside the motel there was a bum in her wheelchair with her sidekick, puking. I guess you get what you pay for in the LBC.
Having a refrigerator and microwave oven in the room is often helpful, and the location was pretty central. Yeah, it is not the best area, but that is what it is, and I would never fault the motel owners. There is a great variety of food around! There is a small area where children could play, and it features an Indian Royal Enfield DIESEL motorcycle trike, which I recognized immediately, being a motorcycle enthusiast myself. Thank you for a trouble-free stay! The U.S.S. Iowa and antiques swap-meet were great! David from Ventura
Nothing sheets wear dirty, towels were stinky, bed was hard as a brick and I woke up in pain, the staff was very dismissive and rude.
Nothing. No early check in. Staff terrible. Rooms cheap and cold.
Very clean. No carpet and a faint smell of bleach meant everything was sanitized. Sketchy neighborhood
Nothing, except for a bed bigger than what we booked. The owner is very rude, we have stayed there 3 times now and he throws our paper at us, slides our card so hard it hits the ground. Not to mention the bugs EVERYWHERE and hotwheel sized roached EVERYWHERE, and the most sketchy individuals EVERYWHERE, and that is my childhood neighborhood.. it is a breeding ground for roaches, drug deals, and the most rude people I have ever met. We have done nothing but be the most polite we could be. they on the other hand? I feel, feed off of anger and suffering, Do not bring your children here. they will eat their souls.
Over all wasn't a bad place cheap and had a big bathroom. The costumer service sucked worst manager I have ever met rude and short.
Not a Damn thing The crazy lady who sprayed shaving cream and smacked window All night she was insane, nuts, and extremely smelly
There was plenty of space to park. The room had air conditioning, a hot shower, a refrigerator, a microwave, and TV. The walls were very thin and their maintenance crew made a lot of noise very early in the morning. Since the location is next to Pacific Coast Highway, we could hear trucks rolling by all night.
Cleanliness Friendly Quiet Comfy Pillows were to big
Pleasant staff. Clean. What we saw on the internet was what we received there were no surprises. For us the location was great and easy access and easy to find. Nice comfortable bed. Parking lot was secure. parking was limited not always in front of room.
It was very clean The front desk guy was a little bit strange and the location of this hotel is not the best one
Nothing shot was dirty
great place to stay with your kids the staff never bothered us and that allowed our two toddlers to be there noisy self's

Stains all over carpet..didn't want to touch a thing! Illicit things going on in other rooms.
Jacuzzi tub and nice and clean as the room. Staff was friendly aslo.
This place was BAD, the noise level was terrible, could not sleep the first night. Loud music coming from next door. People coming & going all hours of the night. The sheets where stained, slept on top of the bedspread, the toilet was not anchored to the floor, so when you sit down on it, it rocked. Needless to say we checked out the early the next morning & checked into another hotel. I would strongly advise find another hotel, do not stay here.
The room was pretty clean and large. It was surprisingly quiet during the night. Pretty rundown facility. The front desk is behind a heavy glass panel (and no, the area didn't seem *that* skeezy*), making it almost impossible to communicate with the staff. They also have the earliest checkout time (10 am!) I've seen at a hotel.
I would reccomend this Motel for people who need to stay in this area. Surprisingly clean and area well kept up. The Motel was also close to where we needed to do our buisness the next morning without having to battle traffic and also close to attractions like Disneyland.
Front desk lady and cleaning staff were rude.
Was a good stay in a clean environment. Large bath area and shower ideal for 2 occupants. Comfortable bed, no problems during visit, parking was provided Lights were bright. No actual complains :)
It was a decent room especially for that price. Hotel staff was very friendly and it was quiet. Free wifi and premium movie channels, would definitely go back.
YOUR computer sent me a message that i didnt check in, which i knew..BECAUSE I NEVER CHECKED INTO THE HOTEL. But i guess it was nice of you to inform me? Please do let me know the next time the computer can inform me of something else i know. Like, maybe every once in a while it could send me a message that reads : You are reading a message on your phone. You sent me a survey for a hotel i never stayed in. This, I didn't like. Because, if you read over there <-- (are you and that person even in the same department? are you native english speakers? If you are not a native english speaker - are you prepared to go the whole nine yards? Will your performance be sub par? Above par? If par for a hole is 4... what are you gonna shoot? ) so anyway, i never stayed in the hotel. I would best describe the travel eagle inn hotel as a place i have never stayed. as evidenced by the email you sent me that told me i didnt check in. after i never checked in.
I have a service dog and they were very rude about me having a service dog that did not want him there and they yelled at me and demanded to see his service dog certificate and wouldn't give me my key card in till like presented it to them
Restroom was clean and big shower Ac not working, dirty bed sheets, peeled walls, horrible smell. Small room with chipped furniture.
No roaches or bed bugs ,very clean and quiet.. Loved my stay
It was supposed to be a non-smoking room but the odor was so bad our items smelled like smoke the next day. The sheets had stains even though they were clean. The toilet seat had marks and looked like it was 20 years old.

It was clean and for the price I paid i experienced a 4 star hotel type of experience. It was overall a good experience.
I didn't like anything about it!! The room smelt like smoke and it was a non smoking, the air conditioning didn't work, had to get a fan. Room looked nothing like pictures, bath spa didn't hold water nor did the bubbler. It was the worse room I've ever Stayed in, I will never go back there, Oh and the location was scary, there was a lot of suspicious activity going on in other rooms I was not comfortable at all! Horrible experience!!!
The hotel was late checking me in and I had to wait but when they sent the maid service to clean the room I waited outside and I have never seen a room whipped into sshape ever. The maid they send to clean the room was of such a high caliber.
it was clean and beautiful paint and furniture everything was cool
Management was polite & helpful during business hours No place to get anything to eat or dink, no machines, it was noisy, cars/people in & out all night. couple fighting in next door room & office didn't answer phone or window to notify
big room. location is close to venue i was attending floors are filthy, u dont know it until u r finished taking a shower, to later find out your feet are dirtier than b4 u got into shower! cigarette burn holes in blanket. room smells like an ashtray. Too many sketchy people in other rooms!
- Modern room decor - Big, clean bed and linens - Our stay was about $75/night, cheaper than most around while being comfortable - Room included two bottles of water and a couple of snacks - Room was tiny, bathroom door couldn't quite open all the way without colliding with the toilet - Not enough parking. There are at least two rooms per parking space, but we found street parking on the block.
Clean, cheap simple Rough industrial neighborhood. Bad parking. Small room
I didn't like the fact I was billed up front for room stay,
The staff was friendly and professional. The room was very clean and included a wall-mounted flatscreen television with a user interface that was easy to use! Additionally, the entertainment "console" included HDMI and USB ports. Although I didn't use it, I paid an additional five dollars for Wi-Fi service. I was a little surprised, because in my experience Wi-Fi service is usually included in the price of the room. I was particularly impressed by the placement of the light switches throughout the room! They were convenient and practical and easily accessed from the bed. This feature distinguished Motel 6 from some of the better hotels I've patronized! Access to the hotel parking lot is restricted, serviced by a single driveway for entry and exit and can only be accessed from one side of the street – that is, there is no way to turn left into their parking lot. Consequently, if you're headed in the wrong direction, you must execute a U-turn or a combination of lefts and rights before you can enter the lot. This hotel is not located in what I would necessarily characterize as a bad neighborhood, but because of my frequent encounters with panhandlers, I wouldn't necessarily call it family-friendly.
