Pros: The kids loved the waterpark. We got a great rate using the kayak app. I have also seen groupons for this resort that have great deals (considering normal rate). I can't wait to visit again using one of the discounted options. Water was warm, air felt cold at first (but I'm always freezing) but I warmed up quickly. I also think it's worth mentioning how appreciative I am that the resort allows kids to use their own coast gaurd approved flotation devices. A lot of water parks have started banning them saying people are not attentive to their children because they think the devices are a substitute for supervising your children. Although I'm sure that's true. I'm willing to bet the parents in that category don't supervise their children either way. Isn't it better to at least know these kids have a safety net?!?! I have two small children one of whom is a very high energy 5 year old. These places are often crowded and it's easy to lose sight of your child for even just a moment. It was very comforting knowing my babies had supervision and a safety net just in case.. Please keep allowing parents to use them.
Cons: We stayed to play for a few hours on the day of checkout and the shower area in the waterpark is an open area. I just wish they had private shower facility's in the waterpark. The amazing shampoo and conditioner the resort provided was awesome though ;)
Bring the family when you stay at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Pocono Manor and have fun at the free water park. You can visit the spa to be pampered with massages, body treatments, or mani/pedis, and Great Karoo Marketplace, one of 3 restaurants, serves breakfast and dinner. A lazy river and a bar/lounge are other highlights, and rooms offer conveniences like sofa beds and refrigerators.
Pros: Breakfast buffet for $13.99. 2 rounds make it worth the money. Freshly made mix n match omelettes were fantastic! The king sized bed was comfortable.
Cons: Front desk staff were accommodating. Parking was easy. Amenities were available. Didn't expect the place to have such an "old" vibe. Cant blame them since the place was founded in the 1900s or something. Seemed a bit too rustic for my taste. Hot water took minutes to come out the faucet. Shower water pressure was too low. Update the rooms. Everything just seemed so outdated, except for the flat screen TV in the room. Renovate the place. It looks very old and outdated.
Pros: I wish we could have stayed longer. Next time we stay it will be an extended stay. Great place for the price..
Pros: Beautiful location in the Poconos
Historic, rustic feel
Cons: Room wasn't well cleaned(Laurel Lodge)
Service in the bar wasn't attentive
Front desk at spa had no interest in giving us a tour or explaining services
Need larger/better staffed counter selling personal items (didn't have a toothbrush)
Wedding was going on during our stay and we were very clearly not a priority of the hotel
Pros: The resort was clean and offered many enjoyable activities. The location is beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are lots of quiet places inside and out where one can sit for a few moments to recharge. The surrounding area includes a lot of shopping options, including a Walmart for any forgotten items.
Cons: The room left a lot to be desired. The AC system was so loud you couldn't hear the TV when running and it jolts you awake. The bed was positioned under a slanted ceiling and I bumped my head getting up. Water pressure was so low that it was barely able to keep the shower on. We arrived at 4:30 and didn't get a room until 6:00. The breakfast buffet was a little pricey at $18 per person, but there is a Perkins nearby. There was no coffee maker in the room, although the complimentary coffee in the lobby was ready by 5:00 a.m. Worst of all, I had to drive a mile for ice cream :)
Pros: 100 year old hotel that has been very carefully preserved in the old fashion furnishings, yet everything was clean and well appointed.
Stayed for a Friday night, wanted something different than the usual cinder block hotel overnight stay - this is the place. The staff was extremely friendly and eager to assist, even the night facilities manager was kind enough to open the indoor pool and walk us down the into the pool and recreation area later at night just so we could see it. There were kids in the arcade and pool table area having fun and the hotel in-house movie theatre was showing a movie about 11pm. Lots going on! The bed was one of the most comfortable beds that I have ever slept in at a hotel, and the room despite being over 100 years old was up to date, clean and very pleasant. The morning was great with the beautiful mountain views. This is a hard property to maintain because of the age of the hotel and they have worked really hard to keep in up and it shows! We will definitely stay again, and the next time try the spa, it looked wonderful.
Cons: There wasn't any thing that was negative, except that we were coming in after dark and the hotel signage on the roads and lighting to get to the property could be a little better for those not familiar with the country roads.
Pros: The staff members were very accommodating. Felt very comfortable just staying with myself and toddler. Other reviews commented on the decor but I didn't find it distasteful at all, nor will it defer me from staying again.
Cons: The only thing bad I can say about our stay was the slamming doors throughout the night. I'm a light sleeper so I was up all night. My daughter slept right through it though.

Situated in Pocono Pines, this bed & breakfast is within 9 mi (15 km) of Summit Lanes, Pocono Raceway, and Camelback Mountain Adventures. MagiQuest and Great Wolf Lodge Waterpark are also within 9 mi (15 km).
Cons: The bedding was so old and washed up it was stiff and gross. Went to Walmart and bought all new bedding and pillows to use for the night since no other hotels had availability due to the NASCAR race. Place was literally falling apart! 1/2 inch gap all the way around the door frame which was falling off etc. Furniture was stained and torn. No toilet paper in the bathroom had to ask for some and they only gave us 1 roll LOL No water pressure at all in the shower. Awful experience!
Pros: Staff was great
Cons: The mattresses weren't 100% but good for the price.
Pros: The room was obviously updated recently and everything was very clean. The staff was very polite and even gave us suggestions of where to eat.
Cons: The beds weren't the best. They were comfortable enough but weren't my favorite. The showers water pressure was okay but the water did at least get hot. Also, there was a draft coming under the front door and we had to stick a blanket in front of it.
