I have some mixed feelings about my stay at Hotel Angeleno. It seemed like every good thing was followed by a "but." I picked up this hotel with an insane "90% off" sale on Expedia, so after taxes I was paying $50/night. They included valet parking for me, but my friend drove up to stay with me for a night and they wanted to charge him $25/night for parking. I had emailed and asked for a room with two beds, but they were unable to accomodate me. They sent me an air mattress which ended up deflating instantly, and they replaced with another air mattress which also deflated, though not as quick. They also brought me a fridge since the fridge in the room was more a "cooler" (their words). There was some hella loud construction going on in the hotel, so I didn't sleep as well as I'd have liked. And that was on top of the noise you hear from the freeway, which sounds like you left a door open. Other than all of that, the room itself was great. Not huge, but nice amenities and a comfortable bed, plus a coffee maker and a decent shower. Staff were all pretty friendly.
I was forced due to death in the family to reduce my stay by one night. The hotel, & booking agency was not forgiving at all & had to pay for the night i was not there. Upsetting & costly to say the least.
Free parking and courtesy vehicle to locations in 3 miles radius
Not very conducive to walking around for a bite to eat.
Convenience to freeway & house - left for termite tenting.
Gym facilities very small.
clean, trendy, people eager to help
pillows too big. shower not hot enough. room service slow
Friendly staff & nice restaurant & bar on top floor. Easy access to all LA areas.
Very noisy. Just a few yards separates the building from the freeway. The staff suggested we keep the AC on to drown out the traffic noise. It was clean enough but I wouldn't call it a deal & overall nothing to write home about. Very car dependent. No restaraunts within walking distance except for the nice/expensive one in the hotel. I'll try another hotel on my next LA staycation.
the location and the design of the pettit hotel, so nice!!
Like the friendly staff from the front desk
It was not service at the pool And the service at the bar on the 17th floor
The amazing and friendly staff. The rooms were clean and comforting. The balconies provided privacy from the neighboring balconies.
It takes too long to be reimbursed for the money deducted for incidentals at check-in.
