Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location could not be better, and the staff are so kind and helpful. Our stay was amazing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great hotel and very attentive staff! Breakfast on the terrace next to the river was just wonderful and the complementary sunset cruise was the ideal start of our holiday. City centre with sights, restaurants, spas and bars within walking distance.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: From the moment we arrived, we were treated with the greatest of courtesy by the staff. The property is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Unlike our previous trip to Luang Prabang, one year ago, we decided on a more central location this year and were extremely satisfied with our choice. The food is excellent and the location perfect for walking and cycling excursions around the city. The staff were fantastic, and their fluency in English was great to see, although we all speak Thai and can communicate fluently with the locals otherwise. The view of the Mekong from our balcony was astounding and I would recommend this property to anyone planning a visit to Luang Prabang.
Cons: The shower took a while to warm up, but it was peak season, so we didn't mind too much.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Clean, bright room. Excellent location. Delicious breakfast. Exceptional service
Cons: No complaints.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Very helpful staff - great breakfast.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Everything - the location is perfect. Waking up to the Mekong outside your door yet only an easy 5 min walk to be the temples and night market. The breakfast on the terrace is delicious and the staff are beautiful. I highly recommend it and will stay again
Cons: For Luang Prabang it’s quite pricey but you get what you pay for
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Absolutely great Breakfast offer and variety! Asian versus Western mix. Right on the Mekong! Staff is extremely attentive! Charming setting! Overall good menu.... Recommended: dry sun worked in sesame
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Value for money! You may seem the price is high compare to others hotel but once you step in its worth every penny. Staff were really kind. The room smell nice and clean. I really enjoy looking at the river view by the window. The breakfast is really great! Normally breakfast will end like 10 or 11 but here I can have breakfast at noon! Stay here and you don't want to leave the hotel
Cons: Nothing

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Breakfast absolutely superb
Cons: Perhaps closeness to town but not a buggy
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great breakfast, lovely balcony and regular shuttle to the centre.
Cons: nothing. But I will say that Laos is expensive (or maybe just Luang Prabang). So you would get more value for your money in Cambodia for example.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Peaceful and traditional. Comfortable rooms and good value for money. Owner through fabulous New Year’s Eve party for guests and staff - unexpected and very welcome. Shuttle bus service good.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: That place is just amazing! The cottages with a river view are worth your money. The breakfast is huge and tasty - served at your terrace. Cottages are even nicer than photos show. The personnel is professional, kind and helpful. Swimming pool is nice and clean. Garden surrounding is beautiful, you see that there is a lot of effort put to keep it like this. What is more, the hotel offers free shuttle to and form the city also free shuttle to/from the airport. Believe me, you will forget that problems and rest of world exist.
Excellent 9.6
Cons: Peaceful place. Very nice tropical garden and well done bungalow commodities
Excellent 9.7
Pros: I stayed at Thongbay with a friend and Could not have been more satisfied with the guest house. Our bungalow overlooked a beautiful garden and every morning we had a delicious breakfast on the porch. The staff was incredibly helpful and organized transportation throughout Luang Prabang for the whole stay. The bungalow was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was a huge plus!
Cons: The location is a bit far from the center of town, but they do have a free shuttle that runs several times during the day. It would have been nice to have had a little more flexibility in terms of our ability to get into the main part of town, but we made it work!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Staff were very helful and frinedly. The setting is wonderful and pool facilitilies fantastic after a day exploring Luang Prabang. The property is a 20 minute walk from town, but the regular Thong Bay shuttle makes it very accessible, as do the bikes they have available for use. And if you want to stay out after the last evening shuttle, the accommodation is only a short tuk tuk ride. Breakfast on your deck each morning is a lovely touch.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Friendly & efficient staff. Lovely setting overlooking river. Privacy. Excellent breakfast and tasty evening meals. Punctuality of shuttle bus. Individual spacious bungalows in Thai style.
Cons: No hot water in the bathroom basin. Noise from nearby bar, although out of hotels control.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great food great location
Cons: The pillows where really hard

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Helpful staff Beautiful room Comfortable bed Amazing shower
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The property is spacious, well tended, beautifully designed with comfortable deluxe well appointed rooms. The pool and river views are relaxing and quiet. The dining room area is beautiful, the food is excellent and very well priced. The staff goes out of their way to provide a comfortable stay. I fell during a hike and required medical care. Two staff drove me to the clinic and stayed with me for 3 hours. Outstanding service. I’d definitely return there and highly recommend the property.
Cons: It is a bit of a walk into town if you have limited mobility. You have to cross the river on a wooden bridge. It is not difficult but if you are afraid of heights it could be a challenge. The hotel cheerfully will drive you to town so location is not a real problem. The bathroom storage is limited.
Good 7.1
Pros: The staffs are very friendly. It is by the riverside so very quiet and peaceful.
Cons: It is within reasonable walking distance to the Main Street however the conditions of the two bridges made it very difficult for people to walk. The hotel has shuttle service. But it can be more frequent.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very peaceful location on the river. The staff was wonderful and quite helpful booking taxis and tours.
Cons: It is a bit of a far walk from town, but we loved the location on the river and would stay again.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I loved staying at Le Bel Air. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and clean and beautifully designed. The area is quiet. You have a lovely view overlooking the river. The city center is quite close, 10 mins walk by bike. You can also walk by foot to the city center crossing one of the bamboo bridges. Highly recommend staying there. I also loved the fact that it's very close to the French bridge which is a real beauty.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Super nice environment directly at the river. Nice and big pool, staff always super friendly.
Cons: Breakfast could include fresh juice. Location is nice but you have to walk a bit to town, anyways there is a shuttle and while walking you can explore the neighborhood a bit. In total quite expensive for Laos.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Beautiful sorroundings, nice garden, comfort room
Cons: In hotel charged me more than was booked on Bookinng.com. When I was paying I asked for the bill, they told me to get it at check out. At check out, I paid for the restaurant and transport costs, they added to my stay again. When I angrily denied that amount, they didn't even apologize for the mistake. Maybe is better to avoid this hotel
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Beautiful hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and everything was considered. Proper hair dryer, environmentally friendly water and toiletries and cosy bed.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Very attentive staff
Cons: The hotel could offer a more frequent shuttle bus service.

Good 7.0
Pros: Spacious rooms, and good location.
Cons: They always had something missing during breakfast and though the price we paid was really high we couldn't get an invoice but just the price written on a little piece of paper (is this even legal?) . We expected a bit more for this kind of price.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Friendly, helpful manager. Good location. We had room with river view. Free bikes.Comfy bed.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Calm and efficient management. Convenient location. Good breakfast.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Awesome family room, wonderful staff, amazing location!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: big room (ground floor)
Cons: The hotel is too old but the price is reasonable.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff at Mekong Charm is wonderful and caring and very interested in making one’s stay at the hotel and in Luang Prabang a wonderful experience. Cuong is happy to make arrangements for trips, taxis to the airport, and any other way he can be helpful, including a mid afternoon juice. Breakfast across the street along the Mekong River is a great start to the day. The location at the eastern end of the peninsula makes for a slightly quieter neighborhood and a nice walk into the morning and night markets, as well as the many other offerings in Luang Prabang.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Nice and chill hostel in front of the lake. The front desk guy is super friendly. Unfortunately we didn’t spend heaps of days there. Breakfast is awesome, you have 10 different types of food (i would recommend the banana pancakes for sure)
Cons: Everything was fine for me. The lady from the breakfast could be a bit more nicer.. once I asked her for one more honey (we were 2 people eating 2 pancakes = 2 honeys at least) but anyway, and also the orange juice is not from the fruit!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Staff very friendly. Good breakfast by the river. Great location.

Good 7.0
Pros: Room, location, staff and breakfast were all great.
Cons: The noise outside and from other guests meant it is was difficult to sleep at times.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Nice balcony w/view and comfortable room.
Cons: Noisy from the other guests at late night. Hotel needs quiet time after like 11:00PM.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: GOOD location,good price.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Staff were very helpful and friendly, the location was excellent and a nice breakfast was served at a table with a fabulous view over the river
Cons: The room was very small
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The property is beautifully situated on the bank of the Mekong River with great views from the small seating and breakfast area just across the quiet road from the building. The riverside road is much quieter than the town area but is only a few minutes walk from the main shopping, bars and restaurants. There are also several lovely restaurants overlooking the river and just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. The owner Su was very helpful and made sure her staff provided everything we needed. Breakfast overlooking the river was fantastic!
Cons: We were in the downstairs room which is on the road so can be a little noisy at times. Cheaper but not as nice as the superior rooms upstairs. However we still considered the room expensive compared with other homestays in the area. You pay for the view and location, and for us it did not provide particularly good value.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location is absolutely wonderful, righr on the banks of the Mekong, close to all sights. The owner Sue is super friendly and takes really good care of evrything, Her team is always smiling and ready to help. Breakfast is served by the river and you can chose what you want to eat a day before. Exchange rate is excellent. Sue comes frim the fourth generation of silversmiths and has beautiful jewellery for sale - better and cheaper than anything we saw in town. If we ever return, we would always stay there.
Cons: Nothing - it is excellent value for money. Do not expect a 5 star luxury, but we liked it very much.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: We had a lovely stay here for four days. The staff went out of their way to help us and also suggest things we could do. Breakfast was top notch every morning by the river! The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Would definitely recommend this place for a trip to Luang Prabang!
Cons: The wooden walls are thin but we realise not much can be done about it!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was excellent with several options. We enjoyed that it is served across the street in relaxing open air tables overlooking the Mekong. The location was perfect - endless restaurant options along the riverfront and about 10-12 minute walk to the night market area. Sou and the staff were very friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations, exchanging money, and booking activities.
Cons: We had a noisy neighbor in the adjacent room.
Excellent 8.8
Cons: Quite at Lotte of Street noise.

Excellent 10.0
Cons: Bed was too firm for me.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: really helpful staff, great breakfast, super generous.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Good view. Good breakfast selection... You probably want to pay the extra money for the nice room
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staffs food view
Cons: None
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The shower was great and the bedroom size too. They offer free coffee and tea all the time, which is a plus
Cons: Nothing everything was great
Excellent 9.0
Pros: I especially like the free bikes for rent, and the supper fluffy pancakes served for breakfast.
Cons: Non applicable
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The hotel seems to be a family run and every staff seems to show genuine desire to help. It was perched on the Nam Hkam river and a little bit further out from the old quarter, which is a good thing.
Cons: The breakfast could be improved a bit more. Like how to make a better scramble eggs and this will definitely help. The WiFi is sometime patchy for some rooms. You won’t need a WiFi for a laidback town like this 24/7 but you never know what might comes up so better have a good WiFi
Excellent 9.7
Pros: Wonderful staff, clean rooms, use of bikes

Excellent 10.0
Pros: a personally guided jewel at the best location to discover luang prabang but also to relax. the team took care of us wonderfully - personally and authentically.
Cons: there's nothing to add - just perfect.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Hands on owner, amazing staff, fantastic views, buggy drop off’s, every thing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hotel staff were exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable.
Cons: All good
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Great place, close to Mekong river. Very comfortable beds
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I don’t even know where to begin in this review because we enjoyed our stay at the Mekong Riverview hotel so much! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. When we arrived, they greeted us with a nice welcome drink and helped get us checked in. They also gave us a map of the town and pointed to some key places to visit and nice restaurants to check out. During our stay, they always made sure we had everything we needed and always greeted us with a smile! They also helped us to arrange some tours. The hotel itself is really charming. It is situated right along the Mekong, which made for a wonderful view when we stepped out each morning. The location is great, as the town is small and everything is in walking distance (or you can borrow bikes from the hotel to get around!). The beds and sheets were very comfortable and the A/C worked great, so we slept very well each night! Also, the we never had any issues with the WiFi. The room also had a bunch of books about Laos history, legends, and things to do, which we found really helpful and interesting. The breakfast each morning was a total standout! It’s at the hotel restaurant across the road and has a spectacular view of where the Mekong and the Nam Khan river meet. We loved just sitting there each morning and looking at the view. The food itself was also wonderful! And of course, the service was excellent. I could honestly go on and on about how much we enjoyed our stay here. I spent a lot of time researching before our trip, trying to find the best place to stay in Luang Prabang, and I’m confident that I found it! I will be recommending this hotel to everyone I know, and I can’t wait to return!
Cons: Nothing at all!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely boutique hotel with the best location in Luang Prabang, in a quiet neighborhood but still within walking distance to the different interesting places around. The owner and all staff are very friendly and go the extra mile to make your stay a special one. Beautiful views over the Mekong River and relaxing atmosphere. The swimming pool and spa are located on the other side of the river but really worth to visit every day for a relaxing afternoon or refreshing start into the day. The restaurant is very nice located overlooking the two rivers, great food, cozy ambiance.
Good 7.0
Cons: Would like the coffee at breakfast to be hotter.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Directly at the Mekong
Cons: A little noisy in the morning

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lotus Villa is so charming! The hotel - nestled along a quiet street right in town - has a beautiful courtyard, super yummy breakfast, excellent service and comfortable rooms.
Cons: Honestly, there was not a single thing I didn’t like.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The hotel is in a very central location of Luang Prabang yet it is in a quieter side of it, as the hotel is located parallel to and in between the main street and the river road. It is 3 mins walk to the nearest restaurants, cafes, temples, and monasteries. We really enjoyed the free flow of breakfast. It is basic breakfast of omelettes, croissants, and really good coffee and local special daily (between rice porridge - the best! and mango sticky rice). The hotel room has basic toilet and room amenities that are kept clean regularly. The staff is polite, gentle, and helpful, although because of the courtyard design of the property can be heard speaking loudly from the courtyard. They regularly ask about comfort and needs regarding food and our overall stay.
Cons: While it is generally a quiet hotel tucked in a quiet street, the courtyard layout of the hotel plus the room with a door in between does not lend itself to complete good night's rest. We were up on some nights and awakened early morning with next door guests speaking loudly in the rooms and courtyard. The assistant manager readily offered us another available room on the second level after we spoke with him. We very much appreciated it! This hotel can do a little bit more work in terms of details of hospitality and service of a boutique hotel.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Nice staff. Location. Great breakfast. I liked all.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff - free bikes to borrow and great breakfast
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great place.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Good breakfast, did not seem to be any limit. Excellent fruit salad, eggs cooked as you like and local specialities. Breakfast served in garden.
Cons: Complex built to Asia standard i.e. doors not closing easily few power points. To turn off lights you had to go to front door. No reading light over bed. Hanging space four hangers but limited hanging space.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Fantastic breakfast. The setting feels like you are in the jungle with LLP the plants and trees. Great location walking distance to Main Street and attractions.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Staff, breakfast, greenery, quiet, secluded from street, tuk-tuk drivers know the hotel. (I was traveling with a western female friend who stayed in another room and she loved the place.)
Cons: This boutique hotel was clean and cute but it was not functional enough for me: There was no place inside the room to place things on. I had to open up my suitcase on either the bed or the floor. No desk or table to write on. The shower had no water pressure, and the drainage leaked out onto the floor. The wifi in my room did not work. The fridge was cluttered with junk that I did not want.
Good 6.3
Pros: Room size, helpful and polite staff. The counter staff brought us to a bike rental shop. (the hotel free use bike is limited on availability as they only have 2 bikes)
Cons: The room we stayed is a suite with good size..BUT, floor tiles is loose, aircon is weak, lighting for the side hall need some luck to turn it on. Was told that will be able to witness locals offering alms to the monk at the balcony.. Well, you could but you have to put up with the fact that the balcony is facing a rubbish dump area that the nearby resident will throw their garbage in the evening and the rubbish trunk coming to collect at night. sitting at the balcony watching ppl comes and goes dumping their garbage right in front of you is not much fun during holiday. No TV in the suite, wifi is very weak. Breakfast is overrated, I've stay in 3 hotels during this trip. This is the most expensive one and breakfast is not even par with the other hotel I've stayed (near namkan river, 1 street behind) which cost less than half the price for similar room. Water pressure in the shower is very low. but it's rather common in LP. Side note: For traveller not from thai/USA region, dont bother to change your local currency to USD. money changer accepts many foreign currency. And withdrawing from ATM also a good option.

Cons: The noise is quite loud since the hotel is by the road with cars and motorbikes coming all the time. The walls and ceilings are not sound proofed.
Good 7.0
Pros: The staff were amazing!
Cons: The room was cold even with a small heater and it really made showering very uncomfortable during this season. :(
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This a great boutique hotel. The staff is wonderful and the property is well maintained. The location is great-a short walk to everything in Luang Prabang.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Helpful staff, great location! The food is good as well
Cons: No common facility due to the size of property
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The staff were very attentive from the manager , Mr Teesengchan through the staff such as Mr. Lan. This allowed us to relax and truly enjoy. Luang Prabang. The hotel has hints of the old french traditions, in decor and service. The restaurant has excellent food comparable to those in town, prices are reasonable. All the facilities work in the hotel.(Important in Laos). The location is divine, riverside, minutes to the main street and temples. 10 to River Mekong.
Cons: Not much. The room uses a key card to activate the room AC so the room can be a little warm when entering. The AC does work well. The door handles when closing from outside are awkward to use in our room. See not much!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hotel may blend with all the other buildings in the area but it is definitely a standout once you see yourself lounging in the lovely terrace by the Nam Khan River and passersby look your way in awe. Our room had a balcony facing the road and overlooking the river and it was superb. Wooden furnishing, super comfortable bed, free stuff from the bar (an opening promo), and a lavish shower made our stay truly comfortable. Add to that the amazing service from the staff right from the reception to the food up to the cooking class (I highly suggest that you opt for this experience). Many special thanks to Mr. Zack, Chef Noy, Mr. SOne & Mr. Bounmee for making our stay relaxing and carefree in Luang Prabang. PS The classic Mercedes is a fine touch!
Cons: Toothbrushes were not provided during our stay. We have our own but I think it should be part of the standard toiletry set (in case guests forget to bring their own). Other than that, all things are a-ok!
Excellent 9.7
Pros: The staff were amaxing! Good breakfast. Very relaxed and elegant environment.
Cons: The shower water was very frustrating! It kept changing from very hot to cold. Made having a shower a disappointing experience.

Pros: The hotel is very well maintained. It is very new and clean. My room has a very peaceful and relaxing river view.
Cons: Distance a little off from town but it is still manageable walking. Having said that, is this what I am already expecting from past review.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The room was very clean and there was a small terrace where we could enjoy some drinks in the evening. The staff was amazing, always very helpful. They provide free bikes. The welcome drink was a nice touch. We loved to have breakfast on the terrace with the splendid riverview. We will definitely come again.
Cons: The breakfast could be improved.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Loved the location and the beautiful styling: of the rooms, of the breakfast area overlooking the Naam Khan river, and the light jazz music to accompany our mornings. The service of the staff was excellent, especially Keo and Bunac, who helped us graciously on several occasions. They refilled 2 big glass bottles of water in our fridge daily, and upgraded one of our rooms to King sized with balcony, and a bath, which, on one particularly cold evening, I was so grateful to soak in when we got home!
Cons: There was little/no shelving space in the bathroom to put things, and the sink was a bit shallow (so overflowed when face-washing). There were a few small style preferences of this nature but we still enjoyed our stay here. We often took a tuk tuk to or from the main streets, but this was a small price to pay for such a beautiful setting.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: We spent four days in one of the rooms with river view and can definitely recommend this place!! Very spacious and comfortable rooms, nice balcony and amazing view over the river. Only a short walk away from town (10-15 minutes). Delicious breakfast with fresh fruits on a beautiful terrace on the river. Keo and his guys are very friendly and helpful hosts. They give guests the feeling to be welcome every time, they give advice for activities, help to organise and they are there for anything you need. We can highly recommend their private tour to the waterfall and the buffalo farm.
Cons: A bit noisy because the building right next to the house is currently under construction. And the rooms are badly soundproofed.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was perfect. The room was nice and clean and there was a small terrace where I could drink coffee watching the street. I could order breakfast from the menu and it was served with some fruits and tea. But the one I was satisfied most was the staff. They were exceptionally kind and helpful and I could feel I was treated with great care. I’m a hundred percent sure to stay here again in my next travel.
Cons: It’s quite far from the main street but they provide bicycles.
Excellent 9.7
Pros: Amazing staff who are eager to get you aquatinted with the beautiful city. Bikes included were a great plus!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staffs were proficient in English and very friendly. Very knowledgeable and very helpful when we asked for dinner suggestions and places to go. Room is beautiful. Though you gotta wait a little for the hot water.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: They are all amazing and friendly, always ready to help us for everything. The Room with river view was big and the bed was really comfortable, just 10 min walk to the centre.Peacefull place to rest
Cons: Good breakfast but they should put more choice of local fruits.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This is lovely hotel in a beautiful setting and the service from Keo and his team was first class

Pros: We had an excellent 3 night stay here. We had the family room which was very spacious (travelled with teens) and we had our own patio area which we used frequently. Pool is very refreshing after a day of sight seeing. Staff are so wonderful - nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is made to order so always fresh, juices amazing! And lovely outlook over the lily pond.

Pros: Everything was great at Villa Oasis. Close to everything but in a quiet space. Staff was excellent and very helpful. Even brought complimentary afternoon juices each day. Breakfast is ordered off a menu and very nice.
Cons: Pool is small but nice.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Close to most things eg black market, wat phousi but what made the stay pleasant was there manager Hoang Nguyen smiling all the time he was awesome would stop anything to go out of his way to help you . Tips - from breakfast area turn right up small street and follow it to the end then right again and will find exchange money Lao bank best rates only open 0830-1530 and if you turn left from breakfast area and follow to top cross the street and willl have a large supermarket with everything and cheap
Cons: There is construction going on at end of building it didn’t really bother me but may bother others I stay in early may 2018
