Location, restaurant & bar
Small rooms, weird cut/shape, overstuffed with random furniture. Too noise with next doors, hall way noises very audible, especially in the morning with the house staff - vacuuming rooms with open doors... Not exactly 5 star hotel behavior.
I liked the location the best, right on the lake.
We liked the localion, the view, the garden, the breakfast, and the service.
The location and the view from our window/balcony was spectacular!
Hotel is in a great location! Check-in staff was excellent!
Very well situated; beautiful view on the lake on the mountains from your balcony.
The price level is comletely outrageous. The room is rather small, not over-equiped for a 5 star Hotel; breakfast is rather limited, so what remains is a beautiful view for an extreme price!
smell in the room, old and not value for money
We have stayed in many so-called 5 star hotels throughout the world, but the Grand National is truly what it says it is - a 5 star hotel in every way. It's position, staff, quality of furnishings and food are truly excellent.
I liked the location and the staff.
I did not like staying in a room over the bar. On two occasions I had to ask the front desk to have the noise limited/ One evening was after 11 pm and the other after 12 am.
The quality of the furnishings in the room - very luxurious.
The size of the bedroom - very small
no air conditioning, noice of the street because the room was in the first floor
Great view if you get the lake side. Nicely period fitted out large room.
Room stuffy but the windows opened onto a quite foot path. The room was directly above the bar and the paino played lowdly until 11:30. Avoinf rooms over the bar.
