We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived by the staff at reception. Our room was beautiful, with a view of the river and mountains. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is lovely, with a combination of modern facilities, historic building and antique furniture. The breakfast was excellent and the hotel's restaurant which is located in the town, a few minutes away from the hotel, was a great experience. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We left with a very postive and warm feeling about the hotel and would like to thank the staff for their hospitality and professional service. There was nothing that we did not like.
Close to the centre of Brixen and railway station.Beautiful old building with modern comforts. Staff friendly.
A very traditional hotel tastefully modernised in a beautiful setting. The staff were efficient, friendly and absolutely professional. The buffet breakfast offered was one of the best I have seen. nothing
located downtown, nice room and good service
We had a lovely room overlooking the river and the mountains. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful and breakfast couldn't have been better. I have been in this area before, but the central location of the hotel led to new discoveries.
The hotel was ideally suited as a base for a relaxing visit to the town of Bressanone. It was quiet, efficiently run and friendly. All the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast filling. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room; there was a mini bar, but no way of making a hot drink.
Central position and staff courtesy In Booking there were no options for "double room with single occupancy", and then the paid price was much higher than the price that would have been paid by making the reservation directly at the hotel
Confort, cleanliness, placement, breakfast buffet, quiet nothing
Beautiful room in the perfect location. Staff was excellent, and so was the food.
Every thing was very good, but the food was excellent, easily the best we ate during our 4 week holiday in Italy.
Service, location near to the city centre.
Very relaxing. Excellent standard of hotel. Very clean. Food first class. Clock tower outside that chimes on the hour. Very annoying!!!
Excellent location, we had a nice balcony with our room. Great views. Nice town. Pretty noisy (people, not traffic) on the street side. Admittedly one night there was a festival on and the other night was a Friday.
Service, facilities, room and location. A little more information in English would have been helpful and a later opening of the swimming pool and restaurant as the ski slopes were some distance away.
amiable atmosphere opening hours of swimming pool - it could be open 2 hours longer
The location was great for exploring the surrounding area, and I enjoyed the attached brewpub very much!
location perfect, food very good, room cosy inner pool not accessible by wheelchair
Reliable location in Bressanone.
Hotel is in an excellent location across the street from the old town square. Half board breakfast and dinner were excellent. Minor point but the pool is 1.4 meters deep throughout and not good for small children or short adults.
It is really hard work to find any flaws regarding this hotel. Excellent service, very nice and wide room, excellent location. The indoor swimming pool is even good for actually swimming, which is not so common...
Iteresting for halfboard not for business stay
The hotel is too expensive for what it offers. We were just apssing through and only stayed one night. The staff however are very friendly and the room was clean. I would stay there again as it is ok, it is just more expensive than others we stayed that were in much better condition.
Very good location, good restaurant both for breakfast and for dinner, comfortable room, good beds, cosy balcony, luxury bathroom, friendly staff It was not possible to get coffeepot, even we were promised several times
room and staff very helpful and friendly had a lot of trouble finding hotel more clear directions needed also when I checked out did not know I had to use another sister hotel.
spacious room and bath, comfortable bed, pleasing decor difficulty finding main entrance, reception personnel unhelpful
Staff were professional, helpful and efficient. Rooms were quiest, cosy and clean. Great swimming pool, helpful staff made it easy to connect to Plose ski+fields
parking, location, good breakfast
Easy access to shops, restaurants, etc. The breakfast was very good. The rooms were quite large for hotel rooms in Europe. We enjoyed our stay and liked everything about the hotel.
Nice constant sound of the rivers from our room, in beautiful park area. I picked this hotel for bike rentals and the pool (for my children). No bikes for kids; pool experience as so-so; another (local) customer in the gym/pool area was overtly rude. Need to go to main hotel for an english speaking front desk (very polite/helpful gals).
Everything was excellent.
Stylish hotel in the heart of Brixen. Top quality in every aspect. The street address of the hotel is confusing ("Rappanlage" without any street/park number) for a non-german speaker. The hotel was difficult to find by car without GPS.
This was a clean, well run hotel with friendly and efficient staff offering good valuue for money. No
The historical ambience, friendly service, elegance of the building and rooms, excellent food, convenient location.
The property was perfectly gorgeous, the rooms were clean, and really beautiful.. I loved the breakfast and the service was supreme. There were a couple of nights that the noise outside around the fountain kept us up a night but I would still recommend the hotel.
Great hotel, superb breakfast, fabulous service from the staff. The hotel provided a bike to tour the city at no charge.
Exceptionally friendly bi lingual staff. Beautiful Gardens. Situated in a lovely town. I really think that air conditioning is necessary even at this altitude. My stay during July was slightly marred by the uncomfortable temperature in our Junior suite and very humid temperature in the restaurant during our a la carte meal.
the location was excellent, and furnished impeccable. The bikes were key! The hotel charges money for the rooms to people who book through your service and that bothered me a lot. I recommended this hotel to a friend and she paid ten Euros less and the told it was because they had to pay for you service charge and then when I question that they change the story and said it was because of a last minute booking, My friend also got a nicer room with a balcony and a fruit tray on arrival. The beds were very hard and they said it was good for me and only give one pillow for a single room
I think of the Elephant as I do the Bel Air in Los Angeles: all the amenities that appeal, a retreat within the town
Atmosphere, wine and food , friendly and helpful staff
The hotel is located in a very interesting historic building which has great charm. The food is very high quality and the breakfast is excellent. The town of Bressanone/Brixen is attractive and a great place to spend a few days. No negative comments.
This family run hotel is situated in the hills about 900m from the city center. The rooms are clean (spotless), as is the hotel. The breakfast included with the room rate is top notch with refillable coffee/espresso. The views from the balcony are outstanding as is the quiet. The father runs the bar and speaks many languages, including French so I could communicate with him. He was friendly and offered to drive us to the train station on our way out of town. I don't speak any German and my Italian is minimal at best. The mom tends to everything; she is friendly and detail-oriented. The son cooks and it was stunning how delicious his food was - it's no wonder townspeople drop in for his pizza. The food service was wonderful and we plan to show the daughter and her fiance NYC when she visits this fall. Everyone attempted to communicate with us in English and they were very friendly. The quiet was much appreciated. It's best to have a vehicle to get you in and out of town because the curving, two-lane highway from the town is steep and not pedestrian-friendly. The distance isn't bad, it's the last 500m to the hotel from town that was concerning. If you don't speak German, and don't expect to speak German in the south Tyrol region on Italy, you'll be surprised.
The food was excellent and the location was very beautiful We were unimpressed by the lackluster and somewhat unfriendly reception we received when we arrived. Also, having requested in advance for sleeping arrangements for my 2 year old, it was frustrating on our arrival at 8.30pm to have to request something is sorted out and having to go through a room change etc.
Very friendly and accomodating staff. Great location with walking paths very close behind the hotel offreing great views. Quiet location yet only minutes drive from town. Very comfortable hotel, great food and reasonable prices.Family friendly.
An extremely well appointed hotel with a very good restaurant.. There is a fairly busy road in front of the hotel which was a surprise considering its location in the mountains.
Easy to find forone night stay on our way to Tuscany and great experience with personel and facilities. Maybe our room was too luxury (and costly) for a one night stay.
very helpful young receptionist suggested we use the hotels (free) bikes to get around in locality
the hotel was rustic but we had a newly renovated room. The beds and comforters were very cozy for the winter weather and the food in the restaurant was excellent.
Clean, comfortable, well located just outside Brixen. The passports were returned the next day: unacceptable in a country where you need ID at all times in case of a police check. The breakfast was a little poor in terms of choice for such a hotel.
Comfortable and friendly. Looked after us well when we arrived very late after our car broke dowm We have no criticisms whatsoever
Won't come back One beer (35cl): 8.40€. Water, 3.50€. All at the bar. No comments!
