It was one of the most wonderfull places we have ever being to. The place is heaven!!! Everything was grate! The friandly wellcome, the food, the rooms...fantastic!
This is a peaceful and tranquil hotel, in the most beautiful of setting, away from the madding crowd. Superb dinner, using local fresh ingredients, was memorably cooked by a real italian grandmother. Definitely worth a return visit.
Brilliant view, relaxing location once you find the place. We had a junior suite "January" which was very comfortable and relaxing. Lovely four poster bed and authentic feel, Breakfast was also nice although selection was not huge. We had dinner in the restaurant on the 2 nights that we stayed. We enjoyed the food and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The complex is situated in a huge ground with lovely olive trees. Has free internet connection, Very difficult to find and quite a poor road condition. Glad we had a hire car! Sat nav will not find the place and we had to ask some people and wasted approx 1hr 30 mins trying to find the place
Hospitality of staff was good, location and views on the landscape are gorgious, breakfast and dinner are typical rural as is the accommodation reflecting the good italian life.In a 16th centuary building ther are always some minor things which is well managed by helpful staf.
Good quality food, very friendly staff, child friendly and nice rooms
Amazing views, very friendly staff.
nothing not to our expectation and to espensive
General 'ambience' - a lovely quiet location. Francesco and Sylvie and the staff were excellent, and the food was great.
This hotel was an oasis of peace in a beautiful setting. The staff were friendly and accomodating, the room was lovely, the food was amazing and I would definitely stay there again. Just one teeny quibble was that there were no comfortable chairs to sit in in our suite accomodation. This is probably to do with the authentic styling of the farmhouse, so I can understand why, but we had to bring pillows in from the bed to place on the hard wood chairs...
It was quiet out of season and the pool was nice. One of the hotel workers came and got us from the train station as there was no taxis in Magione anywhere to be found! The bar and shop were only open in the morning and was stocked poorly as it was at the end of the season. This hotel is also pretty difficult to get to if you don't have a car,
good views of the lake, but access to the beach and lakeside would have made it so much better. None of the facilities advertised were open for use. The rooms were used by smokers - and therefore curtains & beds smelled of old smoke.
Great location Very quiet not the sites fault the season just hadn't started yet
The swimming pool was great for the kids, although in September very cold. Having your own little garden was nice. The shop was not well stocked. Some of the play ground for the children was broken, the restaurant looked unappertising. The caravans were very basic and old. you cannot fit a travel cot in any of the rooms.
Good facilities and a nice swimming pool. Very friendly reception. Narrow single beds - suitable better for kids. A hawk was making squeezy noices early in the morning for a looooong time...
close to Toskana and Umbria aller than expected, they take 100 € deposit which is returned if the mobilhome is clean and complete
very helpfull staff very peacefull and quite will go back again in the future differnt time of year to hot in june
View was beautiful Cleaners kept us awake from 6am No toilet facilities downstairs in hotel.
We liked very much the location of the hotel. Just on the lakeside, close to the historic center and near the railway station. The price was very good and services were rather good. We didn't like that the minibar was locked and we couldn't keep our food there.
The position next to Lago Trasimeno The breakfast was not up to standard, and it was not 24 hours as specified.
Very nice pool with jacuzzi at one end. Don't forget to bring your mandatory bathing cap - they'll charge you 4 Euros for one. Breakfast in italy just isn't good.
The hotel is situated in the middle of the village. A perfect location! The hotel has a beautiful view over lake Trasimeno. Even when you book a room without lakeview, you still see the lake in the stairs and breakfastroom. The staff doesn't speak very well English. The room was very dirty when we came. After complaining at the reception we went for a walk and afterwards the room was cleaned. Still not very good, but much better. The badroom need an update. We had a room with a door to another room. The door was locked but not very comfortable because we heart the neighbours very loud. For a romantic hotel you have to look further. More older people than young couples.
Good location. Great view if you choose lakeside which we did. Perfect place to stay in that area. Staff friendly. Breakfast good. No. It was really fine for the price range, but it was not worth more than we paid.
Definately worth paying extra for the lake views which were beautiful. Plenty of free car parking. We had the pool to ourselves, as Umbria seems to be quiet in September.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. Nice view of the lake........but not €134 worth of a view! If €80 to €100 per night I would not hesitate to recommend to friends. Price. Same standard of hotel immediately across street was €65 per night compared to €134 in Hotel Lido. Very disappointing.
Large hotel, nice setting, friendly staff, pool area Food poor. Little choice for breakfast and whilst food was supposed to be until 09:30 supplies were not topped up thus once the bacon had gone for example, it was gone. The food really let the hotel down.
Excellent half board service: all beverages (even beer) included Some members of the staff could have been more kind
Good food, good value Hotel staff poorly trained, not always helpful
It was a great location, walking distance from the train station. Only minutes away from the centre. Clean and decent food. Dinner was from 7:30 until 9:30, but if you arrived at the latter end little was left and menu items were not replenished.
the pool area was nice, drinks were included with meals It was mainly for older people and so the bar closed early and everyone went to their rooms by 10.30. We had flying ants in our room and this caused a problem as they did not want to give us a new room although they did eventually.
Nothing except, may be the location. During the booking I have asked for quadriple room and mentioned that this is a after wedding trip with our best man family. They offered us a room - 1 bedroom and 2 level bed for kids. Amazing - it has nothing to do with the pictures here. It was just terible. The only good thing was that manager gave us 2 double rooms instead. The food was awful, so I do not suggest half borad....
Extremely friendly staff. Close to train station and sightseeing. Very good dinner and breakfast.
distance to local town and good food in hotel restaurant the staff are really quite unhelpful and dont speak much english - everything seemed to be a problem - even something simple like borrowing an iron!
The Hotel is an all inclusive type. In my opinion It is suitable for families who come for longer stay with children. The room was simple but clean. The restaurant was ok with common food, the drinks including bear and wine was free. Front desk was very friendly and helpful.
The bed was comfortable, nothing else it would have been nice to talk with a member of staff who could speak engliehw
Is a small hotel, the staff is extremly kind and keen to make your stay memorable, the position is a great one if you want to visit Umbria or Toscana, the breakfast is generous with fresh baked bread and croissants, the room are very big and clean. For sure we will visit the Montigeto Hotel again
We liked the convenience of the location for day trips out to places in Umbria. It was also pleasant on a very hot day to relax around the pool. Unfortunately only one staff works at breakfast and the reception desk and with so many guests the breakfast tables were often dirty when we arrived which gave a bad impression
I loved everything about my stay. When we arrived the owner upgraded our room at no extra cost. Anything we needed, the staff were only to happy to oblige. Francesca was always there to help with anything we didn’t understand. She dropped us off anywhere we wanted to go that wasn’t within walking distance.
Very clean and simple Nothing was a surprise. All good for the money and location.
Its a very new hotel, the rooms are extremely clean and bright and spacious, very comfortable, the owners were very friendly and helpful. They did everything to help make us comfortable and gave excellent suggestions about side trips. We enjoy our stay and we was really satisfied with this hotel.
staff were excellent
The Hotel staff was very helpful with all situations. The hotel was quiet and relaxing. Their was nothing I did not like during my stay.
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff, swimming pool and the freely available bicycles We could not find a complaint about parkhotel montigeto
Very welcoming, family-run hotel. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Having originally booked for only one night at the beginning of our holiday, we returned for 2 further nights.
great staff, very friendly, very clean and decent sized rooms.great base for exploring umbria and tuscany and only half an hours drive from perugia airport
quiet nice place
Hotel was lovely. Family run business. The restaurant at the bottom was convenient, didn;t want to travel anywhere in the evening and the food was excellent. When we stayed the hotel was very quiet so we had the swimming pool to ourselves.
Very pleasant stay , very comfortable spacious rooms , good restaurant , swimming pool . very friendly staff. Large car park. only downside is its a twenty minute walk into the town , not a problem during the day , but would not be much fun in the dark, as the pavement is not continuous . In quiet location . you can`t have everything .
The staff of this hotel were terrific. They were friendly and helped us with all of our needs, The room was clean and everything worked well. The pool was a delight on the hot summer days. We enjoyed the location close enough to Perugia to drive in everyday for the Jazz Festival. The staff showed us how to park and ride the minimetro at very little cost. I would certainly stay at The Darsena again.
Everything! All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and all parts of the hotel and rooms were extremely clean.
Good location, friendly helpful staff, great amenities, eg pool, tennis court. Outlook onto motorway, and traffic noise. How about they plant some trees between hotel and road.
Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff
Superb staff, always obliging and helpful. We selected hotel because of free shuttle from station and were thrilled by offers of lifts into town and hillside villa of wedding we were attending. No need to have a car, great cheap public transport from centre to Perugia, Florence, Cortona. Good swimming pool and room overlooking, perfect 3* value.
Nothing. Out of town location. Filthy rooms, broken furniture. Having to wear swimming cap in pool. Have to pay extra for aircon. Well overpriced, not 3 star hotel. We had to move hotels it was so awful
Relaxed atmosphere, clean pool, nice room, attentive staff, food always good but somewhat repetitive.Overall a nice hotel. Too far out of town compared to brochure description, hence we took along time to locate even with satnav!
Hotel itself is nice, free parking, in 5 km you can find nice beaches of Lago Trasimeno. Not bad breakfast After check in we asked employee at the reception why AC does not work. Answer was surprising - AC in the hotel is from 7pm till 7am, if you need in another time you have to pay extra 10 euros per day. We came back at 11 pm, condition did not work. Room was very stuffy. Girl at the reception desk did not skeak English. We've explained in Italian what we want aircondition. Asked for extra 10 euros. There also was a man at the desk, very rude. For 40 minutes we tryed to get airconditoning. It was swiched on. Very-very noisy. And absolutely not efficient. We swiched it off. Hot horrible night. In the morning another discution about extra 10 euros. Another stupid thing - swimming cups in swimming pool. Terrible.
Location The AC was not turned on yet for the hotel.
Friendly atmosphere The breakfast was very poor. Little choice and poor quality
We only stayed for one night so we did not use all the facilities. But the swimming pool was great and clean (in the morning). The hotel should do something about the mosquitoes in the room, like a mosquito net. Now we had to kill the bugs ourselves
Very charming place, nice situation, nice view on the Trasimeno lake from the front rooms. Nice terrace with swimming pool. We also enjoyed our dinner in the beautiful yard; the food (and the wine) were excellent. The breakfast buffet just was magnificent. The hotel residence part urgently needs refurbishment, especially the bathroom facilities, the carpets and the wallpapers. However, I expect that then the prices will raise significantly.
Too far out and taxi's very expensive and very hard to get. Hotel receptionest could not get a taxi for over an hour for us and then we were charged €80. We asked around and should have been charged €30. Would not stay in hotel again because of location but otherwise hotel was lovely
