Excellent all round.
Business stay Room facilities could be better
Very peacefull and room was large and comfortable At check-out I was over charged but discovered the error and obtained refund
The comfort of the bed and the decor of the hotel. The towels were fairly low quality.
The staff were helpful and friendly. Poor wi-fi reception
Wonderful location and facilities, excellent staff None
gardens and old trees magnificent. staff helpful and friendly. room good size.food pretty good. difficult to find--could be better signposted--or detailed more on website.easiest from dublin seems through Doneraile--not Mallow!
I loved the fact that i seemed to be entertained by a family in a lovely country residence, the grounds, especially the seating, was just elegance, especially while enjoying my champagne..I loved the whole thing..weather added to it,sun shining 1/10/2010 imagine
The general ambience - The Hotel owner and staff were exceptionally welcoming
Peace and quiet Breakfast was extremely poor. It was cooked an hour before and heated under lamps. The tomato wasn't cooked and no mushrooms. Worst Irish breakfast in Ireland. Hot deli does a better breakfast.
The room was very clean and cozy. The owner (Anne) was extremely personable. My fiancée and I thought she was lovely and could have talked to her for days.
Hospitality , this was an amazing place to stay.
Location and cleanliness No common area.
The house has been designed to be a very elegant b&b. The bedroom was really very elegant and very spacious. The room came with king bed and a single bed that was seemed could have been from Buckingham Palace. There was also a great selection of teas and biscuits that were quite good. The breakfast room was very well decorated and had a complete breakfast made for a king. Really had a great stay and would go out of my way to stay here again if in the area in the future. The parking lot was fairly minimal and the driveway is very narrow, long and the pavement is not good or uniform. The bathroom was fairly dated and was just adequate. The flat screen TV was very small
Pat and Regina were very friendly and warm hosts and made this a wonderful experience. The house is charming, the en suite bathroom was very nice, the morning breakfast was delicious, and the the location is fantastic. If we ever end up near Blarney in the future, we'll definitely be staying here!
Clean and good size rooms, great location, friendliness and helpfulness of owners Nothing
I was very pleasantly surprised that a Hotel of this quality I had not heard of before. In particular the Leisure Centre was one of the best I have used in some time. I would and indeed have recommended this hotel to others who intend to travel to North Cork. Couldn't find any issue with this hotel
Our room was vey bright and cheery. It also had lots of space. Front desk staff were lovely and very friendly. We were late arriving and a bit flustered but everything was explained to us on check in such as breakfast time, where breakfast room was etc.
Everything - the courtesy and attention of the staff. The professional set up of the hotel. The excellent menu choice and cuisine The bedroom was rather overheated and stuffy. However, this was remedied by opening a window. However, I would have preferred if the heat in the room was switched off.
Very comfortable hotel - excellent staff
The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was of very high quality. The staff were very nice The bringing out of food for the "afters" of the wedding on the 23rd was not announced and we didnt get any food..
A beautiful hotel excellent staff I wouldnt hesitate in recommending this hotel it caters for all
The girl on reception edel? was super. Very friendly. Breakfast was very good - lots of fresh fruit. Rooms were lovely and very comfortable aside from my comment below. The room was too hot I was unable to adjust the temp and couldn't open the window as i was on the main road - didn't sleep a wink. Also I didn't relaise from the website that the leisure centre wasn't open.
the food was very good
The staff were very pleasant. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The food was lovely. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. the location of the hotel was ideal for the purpose of our stay. The rooms were quite hot and the window does not open much.
Note that the Leisure Centre has not been built yet!
Great Area.. would recommend to othes traveling from US
The convenience of the hotel to Castle, shops etc. Although Blarney is a very small village. very old fashioned and tired, needs updating and modernising.
Staff was excellent - Arrived late at night, staff greeted me at the door. Helped on a random request.
Blarney Woolen Mills is right next to historic Blarney castle. Very nice facility and comfortable rooms. Surrounding restaurants are okay. Not really, parking is a little difficult due to sharing with tourist attraction.
A relaxing atmosphere
The staff was so nice and very helpful. The included breakfast was excellent with great food.
. i was very dissappointment with the service in the restaurant as i had read very good reviews , i felt they were understaffed and the staff that were working were doing the best they could under the cirstumances
Easy access to the village and Barney Castle. Restaurant right downstairs for meals. Elevator was out of service so we had to lug suitcases up the stairs. Restaurant service was not the best. Servers in restaurant were not tuned in to customers. More interested in socializing among staff members. Food was very good.
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast, which was included, was vey good.
lovely warm atmosphere, calming and relaxing, staff were just so friendly and helpful, right next to woolen mills so great for shopping. carpets need replacing in bedrooms, computer should be working for visitors, hall ways where bedrooms are needs repainting, looks quite dark.
I liked the hotel it was close to Blarney Castle, and that it was very quite. My husband enjoyed using the gym while I tried to recover from jet lag. The hotel restaurant we went for dinner was great! The waitress and waiters were very nice and friendly. The beds were uncomfortable to sleep on, and the staffs at the reservation desk were average - didn't seem to be very welcoming.
The hotel is lovely.staff are lovely. The food was excellent.
once we walked in the door the owener met us and he was very friendly and helpful with organising a table for dinner and taxi for us in local restraunt . that a hot breakfast was an additional extra 8 euro each
This lodge was a wonderful find, perhaps the best value of our entire trip in Ireland. A beautiful room with all the ameneties you would expect of 4 stars. A large king bed with beautiful furniture and fabrics and air conditioning that heats as well as cools. What made it so special was the genuine warm welcome from the proprietors and the the care and attention you receive.
Lovely rooms Worked out more expencive when i went to pay due to pre-arranged price only including continental breakfast. This was quite disapointing as i thought the price was quite expencive to start with.
It was a beautiful, very, very clean and pleasant surprise to stay at Ashlee Lodge. The owners were wonderful people - accomodating, caring and kind. Pride of ownership was displayed in this B&B - I highly recommend that you should stay here instead of in Cork if you wish to visit the Blarney Castle.
The hotel owner was incredibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble for him, the breakfasts were the best we have ever had.The hot tub was great and the general ambience excellent. Beware!! We paid our bill by visa which was in Euros. We later found that the owner had then converted our visa bill from euros to pounds at his poor exchange rate which was quite expensive for us and we did not want. The hotel was 3km out of Blarney so you had to drive to any restaurants, entertainment etc
A very comfortable and clean hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for John, who was extremely friendly and helpful.
The couple who own/manage the Ashlee are very helpful and pleasant.
The best value place we stayed at in Ireland
Great place to stay. Little out of the way tho. John was fantasic, but the woman who also worked there seemed to be taxed for time and was little un-understanding.
Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to blarney, great staff, quiet, very comfortable, great hot tub perfect to relax in after a day of sightseeing.
A comfortable and friendly place, well located for Blarney village and easy access to Cork via bus or car.Nice room and tasty breakfast. Would definitely recommend
Friendly and helpful service. Clean and bright rooms. Tasty breakfast. Well signposted and easy to find. Convenient for castle visits.
Modern room, very clean, very welcoming owner. Great breakfast and quiet location.
Margaret and David were wonderfully hospitable. Good food, great location a short walk from town and the castle, and a comfy BIG bed. The shower was absolutely fantastic, and overall the room was extremely nice. We also loved the breakfast selections, and the breakfast room itself was a beautiful, cheery place to start the day. The "common area"/lounge was not very inviting, the door was kept shut and there were a few bits and pieces of stuff from a remodel strewn about. Margaret was very apologetic about that, but it was definitely a bit of a disappointment.
