Mammoth Mountain is big enough to attract people from all across the United States and the World. Its world-class ski slopes were the birthplace of the game of GNAR, a much-beloved ski bum tradition. For a mammoth of a vacation, there is no better place to stay than the newly renovated Sierra Nevada Resort & Spa.

Guests at Sierra Nevada Resort & Spa can choose from a variety of accommodations including chalets, suites, and deluxe rooms. There are an additional 48 rooms available at The Lodge which are conveniently located near the outdoor magic.

The resort chalets are bi-level townhomes that are perfect for group ski trips. There is plenty of space to enjoy time with friends for a pre-ski breakfast and post-ski debrief. Each chalet has a kitchen, microwave, dishwasher, and dishes for 8 guests.

There are 15 resort fireplace suites available at Sierra Nevada Resort & Spa. Each suite has a gas fireplace and LCD flat-screen TV. A resort-style kitchen is provided with a half-refrigerator, microwave, and two-burner electric stove top.

Guests can choose from a Deluxe King or Deluxe Queen guestroom. The rooms offer a bathroom with shower, LCD flat-screen TV, half-refrigerator, microwave, air-conditioning, and heating.

Mammoth Mountain Ski Area is only a 12-minute drive from Sierra Nevada Resort & Spa. In addition to this attraction, Mammoth Lakes has a lot to offer. Guests are just walking distance from the Mammoth Mall Shopping Center. There are also several delicious dining options nearby including Mogul and Good Life Café.

Guests say
Guests mainly appreciated the hotel's great location, noting its proximity to shops, restaurants, and skiing activities. However, many reviews criticized the hotel's outdated and poorly maintained facilities, including dirty rooms, uncomfortable beds, and unhelpful service. Cleanliness was a significant concern, and numerous guests felt that the hotel does not live up to its star rating, describing it as more of a 2-star experience rather than the advertised 3.5-star rating.

The entire facility is under construction mode. Jackhammers we're pounding all day! No actual handicap access as all ramps are in construction area. Requests to speak with the manager were fully ignored for three days. Requested housekeeping was not performed, and we sat at the bar for 20 minutes with no service before we left. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Pros (+) It;s the third time I stayed in this hotel and the room that we got this time was the best so far. The bathroom is new and modern and the room was clean.
Cons (-) My only issue was the sink in the bathroom was blocked, we had to wait long time to get it clean again and the pressure of the shower was so light. Maybe a little bit of maintenance would be perfect for that room.

Pros (+) Good location. Nice common areas.
Cons (-) Pretty no frills room. But it was a ski trip so I was on the slopes, not in the room. Did the job fine.

Pros (+) Location
Cons (-) Staff was very rude. Asked what incidentals they were holding money for and the desk had no answers. Another attendant then chimed in and said it was in case I damaged something. That would be an incident, not an incidental I told him. The both said whatever and threw my credit card at me. Won't be back. Hot tub is very big but smells of sulpher.
