Pros. Cleanliness and quiet
Cons. Charging for room wifi when other hotels include as standard Radiator valve broken meaning room was cold al night
Pros. Was more of a B&B
Pros. I really didn't like any aspect of this hotel or my stay there.
Cons. No outlets by the bed - I have a CPAP machine and the staff was completely baffled as to how to solve my problem. My traveling companion insisted on an extension cord, which they were eventually able to provide, but this is the first hotel EVER in my experience where there were no outlets by the bed. The beds were sized for children, not adults, and were in dismal shape. The rooms were too small to allow for much movement, I had booked a single room with two beds, and the staff screwed up our reservation and put us in two separate rooms. I'm deaf and depended on my companion to assist me, so this left me in a bad place. Both of our rooms were directly above a nightclub - neither of us could get any sleep until the club closed at 2:30. And I didn't need to hear the music booming up from downstairs - the entire room vibrated. The entire place felt worn out, old, and used. The chairs in the lobby had cracked vinyl, and it felt like a dump. Our stay was ruined because of our lack of sleep, the management only offered a measly 10% discount (we're asking for a full refund from the owners), and we ended up returning to London early because we were both so tired and fed up. Stay away from this place - it markets itself on character and charm, but it's only surface veneer - it has neither.
Pros. Room really smells of smoke very grubby . Asked to be moved because if the smell. Next room no better
Pros. Excellent location. Breakfast ok.
Cons. Cold, smelly room. Noisy. On the ground floor.
Pros. The price, location for city centre and railway station
Cons. Room noisy due to occupant on floor above and thin and creaky bedroom ceiling. Asking for consideration didn't solve problem. Breakfast poor quallity - no muesli or devent fruit lots of fatty bacon, poor coffee - perhaps it just matched discounted room price bracket so dont pay for breakfast and go and eat somewhere else
Pros. Room was very nice and spacious. Breakfast also very good
Pros. Nothing
Cons. Poor customer service
Pros. The hotel is well located and the exterior and central staircase are impressive. Staff were helpful though there was a long queue at check in. Room was functional, but clean and everything worked.
Cons. Wifi in room is limited to 20 minutes unless you pay for the premium wifi. Furniture and décor is a bit dated.
Cons. Poor wifi availability, and poor connection even in the public areas. The toilet in my room didn't flush properly, I had to 'pump' it to get it to flush. Very dated overall. Breakfast was very average. Very over priced for the quality.
