Stairs & stairs & more stairs to get from limited parking to the room or to everywhere for that matter. There was no cleaning of the room for the whole stay except at great extra cost; only part of a toilet role for the whole stay; no change of towels except at extra cost. Pets are allowed & a charge may be made - but 8€ per night per animal is excessive to say the least - no water bowl or bedding for the animal! What were 8€s per night for? There lack of outdoor & indoor lighting, unlees you mention a vending machine which was illuminated at night. Unpleasant, unhelpful staff; an electric exit gate that had to be manually pushe open by a very sleepy security guard in the morning. The restaurant served only buffet meals at an outrageousetc
There were nice views from our room. Everything was brand new. Well-equipped kitchen. Great value for the money. You pay high prices for all the extras (cleaning, additional towels, internet, etc.)
a perfecthotel, even in the smallest details.very nice location, very attentive personal.excellent food in restaurant"el gardin"but disappointed in "schillo".only eastern food.chef"alfredo" from "el gardin"on the other hand, has a lot of qualitys for the future!!! very disappointed was diner bij "schillo". obliged to eat there because the other resto was closed on that moment, was a terrible think.he did feel us in japan, just what we didn't like on a trip to spain!!
The room was awesome, beatifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The service/staff was excellent. The spa was very nice as well, although the indoor pool was not so warm as we hoped. One of the most beautiful hotels we have stayed in life. Everything was great! The only negative point is that Casares (where the hotel is located) has absolutly nothing. You´ll need car for everything, except if you plan to stay the entire day at the hotel´s spa and playing golf.
Marvelous hotel: unique location, splendid facilities, professional staff.
The apartment was large and clean This is a personal thing - but I hate that sort of holiday situation. It felt like a prison camp, really built up area, balcony with no views, small pool area.
very convenient with young children Restaurant could have been better
The apartments were modern and spacious with good facilities. They were tucked away a little from the big tourist hotels and therefore felt more private and quieter. Still within really easy access to the main resorts. The bed mattress was a little too firm for our liking. You could get breakfast at the restaurant but it wasn't great, reasonably priced though.
Travel party consisted of 2 adults and 2 kids (11 and 13). Apartment was clean, spacious and well looked after. It can be very challenging to find the place and you must do your homework before (street not found in the version of gps software I have).
The appartment it self. The space and the faclities
The quiet peaceful feeling about the complex Having to call a telephone number at 08:00hrs to check out of the hotel
good size apartments and pleasant surroundings
value for money, friendly staff and fabulous location no
The apartment was large enough for 3 of us, we were comfortable and the kitchen facilities good. The views were excellent.
it was very comfortable, quiet, lovely setting, very handy for Marbella and Gibralter for shopping .nice to have ironing table and iron included with everything else.hoping to come back in May next year for a big golf tournament Cant think of anything we didnt like
The service and food were good. The rooms very well maintained and decorated in excellent taste. Because there is a spa independent of, but associated with, the hotel, there are many fewer spa services included in the price of the room. For example, the sports facilities were included in the room, but there was no jacuzzi or steam/sauna room, which was not the case in other similarly priced rooms at 5-star hotels. It is a pity that the hotel doesn't negotiate a steep discount. For example, the price of use of just the Thalasso pools, steam rooms etc is 30 Euros per day! and the day is not the same as a day at the hotel: 12 to 12pm. It is a calendar day. So you cannot check into a hotel before noon and you must check out before noon the next day. I f you wish a sauna on the two days, it is 60 euros. This is absurd.
Great Hotel for the price we paid. Staff were freindly, and we arrived to find a bottle of cava, which was nice given we got married that day. We ordered room service at 23.20 and it arrived an hour later stone cold!
There were not to many people staying at the time and I was inpressed by the service and the staff.
Close distance to Estepona town, Gibraltar and also to the beach. I was looking for a hotel which gave me this opportunity together with relaxation and good service. This hotel gave me all of this. I was especially impressed with one of the Reception staff "Pepe" who assisted me with something that I left in the room on checkout and forwarded it onto me. The lack of tea/coffee making facilites in the room & also no English entertainment channels on TV.
It's position right next to the sea. The price given for breakfast on the board by the restaurant was 50euros. Although our breakfast was included, and was very nice, this high price put us off having other meals at the hotel - where no menus or prices were displayed. We drove into Estepona instead!
Everything perfect except the food in the restaurants en de a la carte menu during lunch was very very bad Cold food bad quality very bad
Cleanliness, Attentiveness & Location It would have been better if the shop was open & the barber was present.
The staff was very friendly and professional, amazing spa. The hotel and restaurants were very expensive.
The Bed [To Hard]
The comfort of the rooms and the beautiful view from the balcony. The room was spacious and well arranged.
Good room, good views, helpful staff, and very clean hotel. Beds were very hard
The staff went out of their way to help us with our enquiries. The room was of good size with an ocean view, & a view of Gibraltar. When we decided to stay for another night they matched the Bookings.com price. The hallway carpets desperately need to be replaced, or at least cleaned.
The the location was the main reason for selecting this hotel no
The hotel staff were absolutely fantastic. After having my handbag stolen outside of the hotel they took care of my partner and myself with such care and compassion, as well as professionalism. Will return within the next few weeks hopefully
Fully deserves its four stars, and 9 out of 10 of the staff are extremely helpful and serviceminded. The pool area is spacious and there were never any problems getting sunchairs, whatever time on the day (end October). The food is good, and the buffet means that everyone finds food to their liking. The Piano-bar was at times undermanned when it was "invaded" by the "black ribbon all-inclusive gang".
The rooms were lovely with spectacular view, clean spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional, very good variety of foods and the service was superb. Will book again. I didn't pay for parking but was usually lucky to find a space close to the entrance.
Relaxed comfortable hotel facilities, superb breakfast buffet. Very noisy swimming pool waterfalls near our room-daytime only but all day long. Charging for car parking unless you can find a space in front of hotel-no way in busy season. Unsafe to park elsewhere-we had our hire car tyres knifed whilst parked across the road. Use the hotel parking areas and get extra car insurance because you are not covered for tyre damage.
Great sea view, large tarrace and access tp beach. Very good breakfast. Carpet requires replacement.
pool, location, size coffee
It was too empty and without atmosphere also the room that I occupied was far to close to the piano bar area and I was unable to sleep due to the noise
the friendly atmosphere and beautiful surroundings would have liked extre information about the beach
The staff were very courteous & helpfull. The breakfast & lunch meals were excellent. The main evening restaurant was not great value
The rooms and food were excellent. Staff very accomodating No
The Wonderful Atmosphere and Friendliness of all the staff.
very comfortable ,very relaxed ,staff great the cost ,it is just overpriced for the area,a small bottle of water is 4.50 plus tax ,
Hotel overall was comfortable and friendly View from the room was not good and as we have stayed with your group of hotels before thought we may have been given a better room
Friendly staff and clean, comfortable room. Really good concierge service. Lovely pool area and gardens. Breakfast was good but evening food not really special. Housekeeping was spasmodic - bed not turned down 3 out of 5 evenings.
Nice family hotel and good food - expensive drinks 2.50 euro for small child drink - the games activities for children were very good The beds were too hard - couldn't sleep and the pillows too soft - please invest money in better mattresses for beds or have an alternative softer mattress - Childrens drinks are too expensive
We liked the location of the resort and the activities they had to keep everyone entertained The hotel was built in 1964, and it needs alot of upgarding. Our room had a fould smell, the hotel in general had a old and mildew smell to it. Would not recommend it or stay there again
All the rooms had a beautiful view and balcony. The nearness of the sea. Friendliness and efficiency of staff. Good food. Excellent breakfast. Nice pool, and other facilities. It was a bit worn out, e.g. the carpetibng in the room.
Rooms could do with a coat of paint. No tea and coffee facilities in the room. Windsurfing equipment disapointing.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was good. The shower equipment in the bathroom should be renovated
The rooms were really clean and a very good size Yes - the staff especially the buffet (evening) were very surly and unhelpful. The food was the worst I've ever tasted for 20 Euro's. The only choice of veg was sprouts and these were cold as were the fries which were completely tasteless
Large pool. relaxing lounge bar. Food pathetic - especially evening dinner. Bathroom not up to date. No tea facilities in bedroom. Very long walk to bedroom. No toiletories in bathroom.
Bus shuttle to golf course Food was very fair. Staff appear to not enjoy their job! The step out to the balcany would need to be painted/highlighted, it's very dangerous.
size of room very badly designed, ie finding way around, down to toilet roll holders jammed in against toilet seat.
near the beach
The hotel is a very nice place to stay right on the beach. It is great value for the money and I would gladly stay again.
Very friendly owner. Location on the beach. Room smelled strange.
Close to beach, lovely new decor and facilities. Would have liked a (small) fridge in the room. Perhaps tea and coffee making facilities.
the service and the comfort,cleanliness
Location and parking.
The location of the hotel was great and also the relaxing environment.
Lacolization near the beach. one or two small bugs in the bedroom
Excellent staff ang good location
ideal location none
Excellent hotel, with excellent staff who were very helpful. The room size was super.
Not a very big hotel so not over crowded. Check in is too late (3pm).
Mostly I liked the position of the hotel, the view and the personal who was vwery nice and helpful. The general feeling of a room not quite tidy, a litle bit dusty.
Large rooms in good condition; clean; good value for the money. Helpful staff. Secluded, pleasant, shaded area around pool. All in all, an acceptable hotel at a reasonable rate. Excellent English speakers at front desk. Roadway access to hotel a little tricky off the A-7 if you're not paying attention. Hotel clearly visible from roadway with good signage, but you may not see it it time to make that exit; take next one (if east bound) you'll still get there. A-7 under construction several miles east of hotel with detours in place. Restaurants a little weak, breakfast just okay. Wi-Fi okay in many locations, but seemed deadly slow.
The setup and the location was great.
The standard of breakfast was not good value for money. You can buy better cheaper locally and we did
Very clean and tidy, with helpful staff
the staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was a great starting point for our journey around southern spain.the directions to the hotel easy to follow. the outside pool needed to be heated (still to cold in may)
comfort too cold in communal areas and food was of poor quality no hot water for shower 7.30am
Great swiming pool. Restaurant (reasonable prices for take away (ie: pizza for 7,5 € and paella for 10 €). Cleaning of common area. Extra charge for room cleaning. Kids activities and entertainment (weak). Extra charge for parking (9€). Difficult to find parking inside the hotel/ free parking outside
We can regret the absence of ironing facilities electric kettle poor kitchen ustencils
The hotel and facilities are excellent, the pool, apartment, restaurant and bar are all immaculately presented. The staff are all friendly and appear relaxed and hard working. The only critiscisms I would have would be the lack of appliances in the kitchen i.e a kettle, toaster and grill. Although a kettle was provided on request. Also the hot water was scalding hot and I would be wary of letting my children near the taps.
Beautiful hotel, nice rooms with seaview, free sunbeds on beach.Great staff..Very good breakfast buffet.
only few members of staff spoke english, main language in hotel is spanish and french
Good service, nice comfortable rooms, good pool Beach is very quiet and requires walking over stones to get into the sea which drops in depth very quickly - would not be safe for young children - no lifeguard. Despite being hotel residents a charge of 3 euro applied per bed. Hotel is a 15 euro taxi ride (each way) in the direction of either Estepona or Puerto Banus. No supermarket facility nearby and no outdoor seating area overlooking beach.
Very comfortable and nice to stay in.
Cleanliness The same paella was displayed too long (3 days) and had a sour taste by the 3rd day.
Very cold swimming pools
This is a very nice hotel in a great location and very clean and friendly.
This is my second time staying there & definately will do again
Staff were very nice and helpful in finding good places to eat and drink. We also had a great room overlooking the beach. Automatic lighting system (hall lights turn on only when you enter) could have stayed on longer so you can enter your room without rushing before the lights go out.
Very clean. All necessary facilities.Close to shops, restaurants. Stunning views over beach to rolling sea. Parking is on road where you can find it. Professionally detached rather than friendly staff.
Hotel is frontline beach and promenade, with excellent sea views and good childrens' beach activities. Plenty of restaurants and cafes adjacent and hotel is situated in town centre. No restaurant or bar facilities
The location of the hotel was excellant as it was right on the beach front. It was basic but was great value for oney and was very clean. Our towles were changed on a daily basis and there was a fridge in the room. N/A
Staff were extremely friendly; very clean and tidy hotel; location right on beach front and in the middle of the town; would definitely return. Was visiting family, this was an ideal base. And price excellent! Not a criticism, just information for anyone staying; car parking not available at hotel but plenty of room in side streets and car parks close by at either end of town, not too far to walk. Never had any problems.
It's excellent location to the beach, and the friendliness of the staff. Check-in and check out were handled efficiently. Lack of car parking facilities.
Very clean hotel, excellent position for beach, very nice staff. Could have done with tea/coffee in the room.
the hotel is the perfect retreat to unwind, placed on the beach, the rooms are wonderful with a terrace to relax on and just absorb the whole feel good factor, owner and all the staff could not be more friendly or helpful, can t wait to revist
the place is beutiful and the rooms are big and the brakefast was greath the dificulty of finding it
the grounds and pool area were very good and the views outstanding car parking very good.in busier times could be a problem long way from Estepona. At dinner I could not have wine as there was nowhere to go locally without driving
swimming pool excellent ,but only used as a base. cooked breakfasts could have been hotter
my view of the pool and sea.
Comfortable clean room. Excellent curteous staff. Food good. Sea/swimming pool view. Would use again
Relaxing, excellent pool facilities,
Another pleasant holiday, hotel, food, staff and location still perfect - keep up the good work. We will return again in March.
it's peaceful setting
Fantastic hotel, good clean swimming pool, indoor pool and jacuzzi. Need a car to get to. Named el Paraiso for the sign posting.
WE all thought this was a lovely hotel with beautiful scenery.
Helpful personal staff, peaceful empty gardens a real retreat. Exciting detail to the theme decoration of each room. A feeling of home from home. loved everything, would have found a hairdryer useful
The surroundings - like an oasis. except for the traffic noise! marion was a perfect hostess so trying to please. We left some spectacles behind and she got in touch with my daughter to let us know. Just the difficulty in finding the place. A german group also took a very long time to locate it.
Nice individual hotel where each room has a different theme. Good to recommend for hanging out on the pool and relaxing. Many young international couples (around 25-35). It may be hard to arrive in the evenings or on weekends because then reception is not looked after - we waited 15 minutes to be let in and given our room. If the receptions is off working hours the cleaning leadies do not understand english and it might be difficult to communicate if you do not speak spanish. Also: it is further away from the beach as it looks in the pictures.
Chilled out at the pool - last few days in Andalucia after a hectic two weeks! Finding it from the A7 - the map is not accurate. Signs on the main road would help!
It was central for us as family live around the Diana area. The pool was good and kept clean. Breakfast was fairly good, always a good choice. rooms cleaned every day. As our room was on the main road it was very noisy from traffic.did get used to it after the first night. Air conditioning not up to standard for the temperatures in August
Nice rooms round pool. Good Breakfast. Secure parking uncomfortable beds!! Very difficult to google as map and address cannot be traced. (Easiest by looking for the hotel and then going over the satellite view. the hotel is straight off a motorway, but there is no noise, strangely!)
In general it was pleasant. However hotel reception staff was unfriendly, and we found a cockroach in our bathroom. The hotel staff however only stated that "it should not be there" without taking any further action or giving any compensation to us. Cockroach in bathroom.
Central location for many of the tourist spots. From our point of view the plumbing in our room (104) needs upgrading and the room needed refurbishing due to damp. I think this was an exception as our friends room was in much better condition.
Reasonable breakfast Smokey smell in bedroom, burn marks on bath and bedside unit, Holes in bedcover
Stayed in October as a base for a business trip. A well located, clean & tidy 3 star hotel. Free wifi in the bar area, friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. A nice clean pool. Good friendly service from all the staff. Good location in terms of choice of resturrants and bars (excellent indian restaurant adjacent). Will definately stay again.
the breakfast and the friendly helpful staff the room did smell very musty and the tv was all spanish chanels
It was clean tidy, economical and suited my needs Directions to find it could have been better (tricky to find correct exit from main road in the dark
The price was very good The place for the hotel
