Pros: Everything was just loveley!! But we were especially impressed by the incredibly welcoming and warm-hearted Carol ( and Niguel ). From the first second on we fell in love with this beautiful island thanks to them. Not to speak of the over the moon breakfast of course. We hope to return one day and wish all the islanders much strength during this hard time.

It is very clean and comfortable, complete with fridge, kitchenette and kettle, everything you could need is provided. Hot water is via a clever solar bag shower system, although running water for a cooler shower is available and very refreshing. There are little supermarkets, a bar and restaurant within walking distance. Hermaine is a wonderful hostess and was extremely helpful throughout our stay. A lovely breakfast was also provided.
Cons: There is no beach here, only a little sand garden with no access to the ocean. It does have wonderful views from the verandas (hence it's nsme). Due to hurricane damage the town has no wifi/telephone line facilities, therefore a mobile data package is essential if you need to communicate with the outside world and you need to have cash as no ATMs/credit card facilities are currently working.
Pros: Nice location. Good breakfast.
Cons: A few mosquitoes but understandable post hurricane
Pros: Our host Hermien was totally awesome, a gem of a lady who went out of her way to cater for us (we are vegan) and provide such a relaxed and comfortable stay. Listening to the sea constantly was a treat of note.
Cons: Nothing negative at all
Pros: Friendly host, great views, central location, nice atmosphere.
Cons: Not much, maybe the small fridge too warm to make icecubes. No good was the tourguide Wendy offered for a day tour (just an expensive driver, no guiding).

Pros: Nice bathroom, friendly staff. Close to airport
Cons: Room a bit simple, not possible to eat as we didn't ask earlier.
Pros: The owner acted friendly. The facility is located in a calm environment. Easy to reach. Close to the airport.
Cons: We had a budget room. The room was quite dark with bit stale air and with ants (even in bed). The fridge was really stinky and impossible to use. The prices in the facility (food/drinks) are rather high compared to the rest of the island.
Pros: The staff were superb, i was even given some free food with a couple of beers in the bar. There are local shops nearby but be careful they close early !
Cons: The room was advertised as having TV, fridge and AC, none of which my room had ! Take a torch for the short uphill climb, there is no road lighting.
Pros: The room is large and clean. The staff are very helpful - Elvin in particular was excellent, and gave me lots of advice. He knows his whiskies! There is very effective air conditioning and hot water (but you may have to wait a bit for it to come through). The location is very handy for the airport (but main attractions are further away). The hotel has a simple bar, and there is also one over the road (2 mins walk) where I was tolerated, but didn't feel particularly welcome!
Cons: A couple of bottles of water and a glass would be useful things too provide. Otherwise, I liked it all.
Pros: A lovely hotel, pretty garden and pleasant room.
Cons: Would have been good to have a menu with prices.

Cons: To be honest we have enjoyed EVERYTHING!
Pros: The very beautiful, clean and well decorated with taste appartment. The terrace with sea view. The hospitality and kindness of our hosts. Cherie and Tom are very sweet people, helpful if you need any information about the island and they care about their customers well being. Gracias Cherie por la riquissima cena y sobre todo tus tostones divinos !
Cons: Nothing !

The hotel is a short walk from the lovely village of Calisbhie, with a nice beach a couple of minutes walk away.

Pros: the friendly staff made us feel welcomed immediately. Nigels is a multi task guy and he is great at it all. he makes a mean margarita. and we had such a wonderful dinner which includes complimentary dessert. the owner was very pleasant and welcoming to all guests during dinner she walked around and greeted us all as if we were family visitin for the night. I was on a week long vacation elsewhere on the island and spent the night before we flew home and if ever back in Dominica I will definitely plan a stay there again
Cons: my stay was only 1 night. I wanted ro stay another night :-(
Pros: Great location
Cons: Needs some good maintainable Meals are slightly overpriced
Pros: Good supper but a little expensive. Also drinks were expensive
Cons: River pool was not good for swimming. Additional tax added Given the wrong room Poor wifi
Pros: Very isolated area just beside spring
Cons: No WIFI in the room, Room were smelling terribly bad (need major maintenence)
Pros: Everything! The staff: Nigel, Paula, Cai, Shanaia, and Andres treated us like family, helping us every step of the way. Nigel is one of the best chefs you could ever imagine...I absolutely enjoyed the meals he prepared for us ...He deserves 5 Stars for every delicious, nutritious dinner, and for being always caring/sharing, extremely knowledgeable, an expert professional! Paula is such a special, beautiful lady managing to create the most amazing best trips for us, and blessing us! Cai, Shanaia, and Andres also blessed us with their kindness, and always looking out for us... We loved staying for our 2 week stay at this incredibley gorgeous, green/flower and fruit filled place...the gardens are a true joy, and reflect the lush beauty that Dominica is...swimming in the Paguan river was one of our favorites any time of the day...and we lived the loyal doggies...missing our sweet Lady.... Will come again...will recommend to anyone...Bless Up!
Cons: We loved everything about Hibiscus Valley In!
Pros: Not luxurious but everything is comfortable and just right. Loveliest staff, beautiful gardens and excellent food.
Pros: Location, Nature (like living in the garden) all around us! Dinners tasty, assistance of staff, dogs, pick up/drop of at the ferry (fee)
Cons: breakfasts could be improved, pooooor wifi,
Pros: The spring behind the hotel is very clean, we can swim very comfortably.
Pros: The location was great, just across the street from the river. The area is surrounded by locals. The staff make the place feel very welcoming and give it a feeling of community.
Cons: The room was unfortunately rather dark because of how the windows are built. We did not have a fridge, a container for food (to protect against insects and other animals) or any food storage opportunities. since there are no restaurants in the area (or dominica as a whole) this meant that we couldn't store or cook our own food and ended up eating at the inn every evening. The food was good, but there was no real choice and it was not cheap. We also had a few problems with insects as well, we had a rash after the first night there. You cannot really complain about insects and animals in Dominica, however this was the only place where some kind of bug attacked us at night.
Pros: The staff is really amazing! They helped me with everything. I didn’t have boots to hike and they gave me a pair! Honestly it was a great staying in Dominica, in the middle of the nature! WiFi wasn’t working but it’s cause the hurricane and the condition of the electricity in the island! In general I recommend it to everyone: it’s like to be at home! :)
Pros: People are very nice. There's a river with natural pool on the other side of the road (although not very well indicated and arranged). The garden is nice.
Cons: No Air Con, lot of insects, no food for lunch, no wifi in the rooms (and very slow at reception), rooms and furnitures are quite old. There's nothing around, no restaurants, no shop.

Featured amenities include express check-out, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The cottage was on a cliff and the wind made it pleasant and cool.
Cons: there is no or very little facilities nearby to shop for food and even in the supermarkets in Calibishie the assortment is very limited
This resort is located on the island of Dominica and offers a private beach with access to diving and snorkelling. The rooms are equipped with a private shower area. Guestrooms include tile floors and large windows at the Sunset Bay Club & SeaSide Dive Resort. The rooms all have access to a balcony or patio overlooking the tropical gardens. The resort serves guests meals in the on-site 4-Seasons restaurant and bar. The restaurant has beach-side seating. The resort also has babysitting services and a shuttle to the airport. The resort is 1 km from Salisbury town centre. The Cabrits National Park and Indian River are a short drive from the Sunset Bay Club.
Cons: No pool, no adapters to charge phones for oversea phobe users. Rooms are cold. No tv. Bathrooms are to small. Beds are very squeaky, toilet bowls are dark, curtains washed out,
Pros: They have done a great job at cleaning up after the hurricane. Basic but very clean accomodation. Wonderful staff and excellent food.
Pros: Good snorkelling from the hotel beach - lots of nice fish. Roger the owner is very friendly and helpful. Great place to eat if you like Belgian-style mussels!
Cons: The pool wasn't functioning at the time we were there.
Pros: On one hand, we liked to be helping this nice place as they recover from Hurricane Maria. The location is excellent, with gorgeous sunset views. On the other hand, having no pool, intermittent WiFi are hardly post-card worthy events for a Caribbean vacation. The owners are delightful people, and tried hard to make our stay enjoyable. But... Having read online that they did not have a resident dive-master, I enquired when we arrived about diving and was told that we could go the next morning at 0900. When the appointed time came around, there was no diving. One of the owners said that the other had not advised them of the diving request so that they had not done anything to arrange it. But -- once the mistake had been realized, they made a great effort to find a dive shop who could take my wife out the next day. (I was scheduled to birdwatch, so I missed the diving. My wife said the diving was superb.) The restaurant was, as advertised, very good, with an amazing selection and delicious presentation.
Cons: The place is being rebuilt after Hurricane Maria. The beachfront is a mess and the swimming pool is inoperable.
Pros: The room was kept very clean. The food was very good and the majority of the staff were very nice.
Cons: When we booked we were not advised that the pool was not in operation. It was very disgusting. the water was still in the pool and it was completely green. Because we didn't have all inclusive we could not get beach towels unless we rented them. The beach chairs were plastic and hurt to lay on them for any extended period of time. We have been to numerous islands and have never experienced not getting a beach towel unless we paid for it. Also, if we would have known how far away from everything we were we would have rented a car. After you eat diner there is nothing to do. Most of the time you could not connect to the internet. I'm not sure this was the resorts problem or the islands. It would show that we were connected to wifi but there was no internet connection.
Pros: The location was good for snorkeling, wine selection better than normal in Dominica.
Cons: The male owner was not someone I'm happy giving my money to. While he was speaking at me, I tried to speak to one of the waitresses and he made a fuss saying I shouldn't talk to them. I didn't get the impression he was very nice to them. The beds were very uncomfortable. I requested a Queen bed, and because I'm one person, was given two twins, adding to the bad night's sleep.
Pros: It was very clean
