Super friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Cozy rooms, really magic. Excellent breakfast
Bathroom only separated by a curtain. You need to have a lot of intimacy with your room mate...
Everything went perfectly. Frederika was great on booking and check-in. The owners greeted us personally and were very nice. The room was great especially the terrace with a view (I highly recommend it). the breakfast was good too.
A magnificent spread that reflects that food of the area. But what enhances it is the breakfast room, a delightful enclave filled with typewriters and art books and a walk through a tunnel down to see the cisterns that once were what kept these caves flourishing
Really cute little hotel in Matera. The staff were genuinly friendly and went out of their way to ensure a great stay.
The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. All their recommendations, be it for restaurants or wine bars or guides or taxis, were excellent. The situation was perfect - right in the centre of the Sassi and the wonderful rupestrian churches. The rooms were magical and so atmospheric in the renovated caves, extremely comfortable and beautifully furnished, candles lit in the evenings and each room leading onto the central courtyard. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious, again with excellent service. I would return in a flash.
With a stay at Corte San Pietro, you'll be centrally located in Matera, steps from The Sassi and the Park of the Rupestrian Churches and Piazza San Pietro Caveoso. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
