Staff was friendly; breakfast was good Mattresses are getting up in age and we're not all that comfortable.
Good breakfast, Clean, good maid service. One of the two beds was two close to the wall. Had to crawl into bed on left side.
Location Upon arrival, staff had no idea that online checkin was available. I had already checked in- but they had no idea. It was 3:30 and my room was not ready. The man at the country explained (in too much detail) that several employees had quit and that he was the IT guy. He was very unprofessional, even asking me if my King Suite was "necessary". They said my room would be ready soon as it was being cleaned- I had to ask for the key! Once in I found that the sleeper sofa for my son was completely broken. I asked to change rooms and was able to do so. The new room was better, but the stopper for the bath was broken. The pool was ok but in desperate need of updating. The jacuzzi was no warmer than room temperature. We have stayed at these hotels before and have been completely satisfied. Not happy at all with this location!
I liked the price per night, and the breakfast was good. The service was terrible and it wasn't very clean. The shower curtain had stains or something on it, and I asked for them to replace it. They didn't do it, so I had to call down to the service desk and replace it myself. Also, whoever "cleaned" our room left cleaning supplies in the room. The phone had a thick covering of dust on it.
Location Both treadmills were broken.
Staff was friendly and helpful Exercise area only had one piece of equipment that worked.
There was mold in the fridge, the whole floor smelled musty. The front desk told us they could not give us a different room and they would pay for our stay but now it looks like I will have to call and argue to get the room money back from them!
The hotel staff were really friendly and they really tried to accommodate all our needs. The Breakfast was great and the staff were quick to refill food items and cater to all the customers. The rooms were clean and the location was very convenient. The suite that we stayed in was a bit cramped and could have been more spacious.
Absolutely wonderful hotel with friendly staff; Super comfortable suits with a lot of room.
The staff was polite and very helpful. The suite was nice and the beds were comfortable and clean. The lobby was clean and the coffee was always fresh. The complimentary breakfast was good. We would definitely stay there again. Just wish they had an indoor pool.
Hotel Staff was friendly and Hotel was good location to attractions and very quiet. Our stay was during November construction going on at Hotel which we didn't notice but we were told they would be doing the lobby next so check before you book of course we went in November and pool was closed but they said we could go to hotel next door and use pool and gym
The free breakfast was one of the best I have ever experienced. There were many items to choose from.
Needed a 2-bedroom suite close to Ski Roundtop on short notice. HS was 15 minutes away from Roundtop and easy to get to from Washington DC area. Hotel is in excellent condition, clean, well laid out and has a welcoming lobby with fireplace in cold wx. Staff was courteous and efficient and eager to please-- they even went through ingredients on cookie packages in kitchen because they put out fresh-baked cookies at 8:30 pm and we have egg-allergic child. Suite was well appointed and thoughtfully designed--bedrooms separated from each other by common area/kitchenette and each had own bath, ceiling fan and Neutragena toiletries. Beds and towels soft and comfortable. Hotel is not on restaurant 'strip' but Isaac's Deli was across the street (little/no traffic) and a 3-minute walk from hotel. We will be staying at Homewood Suites in future travels, perfect fit for our group of 3 adults and 2 kids.

Excellent breakfast included with stay. Friendly, attentive staff. Very well run.
The location of the hotel was perfect. Perfect for a family with children.
Great breakfast included. Best hotel value and experience in the area.

I loved the suite and the kitchenet. I was hoping to have a few cocktails after the kids went to sleep in a lounge, but I didn't fnd that available in this hotel.
I loved the room itself. It was nicely updated with great features. The bathtub was large, and the bathroom was nicely inviting. The bedroom was relaxing, and the warm recess lighting added to the calm ambience. Lights, outlets, and space was plenty available. The fridge and microwave was also a beneficial spec. I felt very at home. The staff was phenomenally friendly, and the hotel was beautiful for what you pay. The acoustics and noise polution was abysmal! I have stayed in many hotels, and I have never experienced such racket. Marriott is my favorite chain for small stays, and this location's sound is the worst. I would rather stay in a dirtball hotel than this place again. At least I would get from it what I need, SLEEP! Everything that went on in the hallway sounded amplified into the bedroom. Every time a door slammed, a maid knocked, or someone spoke, both my guest and I heard it, quite clearly and loudly. It continually interrupted our sleep. On top of that, I swear to you, the elephant olympics was taking place above me. Or maybe it was a jump rope contest with giants. I have no idea, but since 6 a.m. till 11 a.m., prodigious thuds, thumps, and banging reverberated down through the space into my bedroom, causing us both to lose sleep. Once again, I've stayed in hotels where you couldn't hear much of anything around you. This hotel is not one of those. I left frustrated, achy, and with an exhausted mind and body. I didn't even bother to shower or get ready for the day, just packed and left. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I would love to stay here again, but I simply won't since I can't actually sleep where I'm paying to sleep.
It's newer built so everything seemed new or newly renovated. There was plenty of parking outside... Unfortunately there was more about the hotel we didn't like at all. The staff that greeted us was rude. Upon getting into the room, it was super small and I listed on the website that there were 3 people (I didn't specify that one was a toddler). There were no USB outlets or plugs to charge a phone. My son, upon wondering the room, found two beer bottle caps. We decided to go swimming, and the minute you opened the door - the chlorine smell almost knocks you over. We decided to give it a try, but only lasted 5 minutes before the chlorine was burning my eyes. I noticed they were out of towels, so I went to the front desk to ask for more. The man behind the desk was rude and arrogant and seemed like I was bothering him. He said they were out of towels. I asked if they had anymore room towels then, since we would have to use those up, he said nope - all out of those too, and he picked up a phone call, cutting me off from finishing what I was going to say. I had to dry my toddler off with hand towels for a bath and my husband and I had to share a towel. That night, I had severe asthma from the chlorine. The next morning upon checkout, I was on the hunt for a manager. I noticed there was one behind the desk. When I handed her the room keys, I told her quickly about what all had happened. She said she was sorry - that the man I described can't handle things very well and he's been talked to a few times. Really?! Then why was he by himself last night? All we were offered was food or coffee for the road. She didn't offer to adjust our rate or anything. For almost $180 a night - not worth the money AT ALL. Don't stay at a place like this where they don't value your investment.
Guest rooms are newly remodeled, very comfortable and quiet on the side of hotel that does not face 11/15. A/C unit also surprisingly quiet for an inexpensive hotel. Staff were pleasant and professional and manager asked about my needs. Provided day passes to a local Gold's Gym as the public areas of the hotel were still under construction as part of top to bottom remodel. I will stay there again when I visit family in the area. I was not notified that hotel was being remodeled when I made reservation. Very few guests staying there but that could have been due to holidays as well. Public areas on the ground floor were under construction and not completed by the time I left.
Staff, outside seating, upbeat decor, engaging design. ATM too far off. No email receipt.
The paid Wi-Fi is fast. I am OK with paying a little extra for solid internet. The hotel has recently undergone renovation and is much cleaner than even a year ago. The new restaurant and bar on the first floor is fantastic.
Liked the location. Restaurants. Room facilities.bathroom cleanliness. There was dust on tables so housekeeping staff not careful.
Clean, safe, and a very nice restaurant is what I liked. I also liked the clean fluffy towels and workout room. My suggestions would be to have bathrobes in the rooms. Also, I would've liked to see an extra blanket in the closet. At this time, the pool was closed for repairs. Parking was $10 a day.
I came with my service dog and the staff could not have been kinder or more helpful! I will definitely be back!!
Location- service and cleanliness I don't understand why I can stay at a hotel 6 and have a microwave in my room but a hilton does not- So my biggest disappointment was not finding a microwave when I wanted to reheat a leftover meal-
Room was neat and clean. We had to pay $10 to self park but we were not told we would have to pay up front.
Reception staff was exceptional. Helping to make our stay as comfortable and easy as possible
Nice rooms, complimentary breakfast. The elevator did not appear to be in good working condition and the hotel was much further out of Harrisburg than anticipated.
Everything Couldn't close the blinds
very good serve yourself breakfast tile floor had a slippery soapy film even when dry. Wet it a little when getting out of the shower, and it was super slippery.
Cool decor and comfy beds Allowing dogs. I will not stay at Laquinta again. Dogs barking at 3 and 5am.
I loved the service, the room, the cleanliness, the ambiance. Everything was well worth the price I paid. It was very nice and everyone, even the other customers, seemed to be smiling at all times. I found myself smiling for majority of the time there. Can't say I have a single complaint.
Really enjoyed the stay here. Everything was clean, friendly staff, great breakfast spread.
Location and bars & restaurant. Nice grounds with indoor and outdoor swimming pools plus mini golf. Room furnishings were old. Past time for renovation.
Great place to rest my head at night while attending a nearly conference. Cost was less than half of comparable hotels. A little more attention to detail from the maid staff would have been nice. While less expensive than other facilities, we still paid good money, and deserved reasonable attention.
Close to other entertainment. Quite, even for a Friday night. Staff was friendly. Check-in was quick and easy. Rooms had poor lighting. Wash bowl and tub drained slowly. Rooms need an upgrade. Cost of the rooms did not match the value of the stay.
Booked a non-smoking room a month in advance but arrived at 11pm after a long day and were assigned to a room that wreaked of cigarette smoke...the hotel hallway also smelled like strong chemical cleaners masking smoke smells. After complaining, we were moved to the only room left...the handicap accessible room next to the lobby and elevator. There, we were subject to loud guests until about 2am, and could hear every word through the thin door and walls.
I loved the breakfast that was included and how clean we found the facilities. I feel as if the room should have cost 75 versus 100. Also the bed was really firm and I prefer a softer bed.
Room was remodeled and looked very nice. The tub was disgusting! The grout was nasty. The bathroom should have been remodeled with the room. I will not stay here again.
Location Hotel was not la Quinta quality. Room smelled of mold and we saw spiders on wall.
plastic plate for breakfast
Clean rooms and continental breakfast A little out dated
Very clean, nice large room, lots of fresh clean towels, linens, fluffy pillows and a great mattress! Comfortable large airconditioned room, swimming pool, cuiet location and pleasant staff.
the staff was terrific hotel was clean and comfortable
Comfortable bed; you could pay a lot more but you would gain very little
The front desk was very nice and accomidating. One of our pillow cases looked to have some sort of red mark on it... Looked like dried blood. Also our room was next to the pool and until 10pm we could hear everyone in it. The glass is not thick enough to block the pool noise.
The convenient location was a definite plus, including easy on/off the Interstate and a good assortment of restaurants and services nearby. The facility was surprisingly modern and very well maintained, in sharp contrast to experience with other Best Westerns. It also was a good value for the money. I'd stay again. It is noisy next to the freeway, but the room was reasonably well insulated and more than quiet enough to sleep soundly.
Great bed. Love the big tv. Beautiful hotel. Excellent value!! Would love HBO! Would like a stand for suitcase.
The beds were very uncomfortable and the pool water was ice cold.
Great hotel! Very friendly staff!! Food in O'Reilly's Pub was very good too!
I like how nice the hotel is. The lobby is big and very inviting. I like they have sections with sofas so people can sit and chat. The room is spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and courteous. The decor is surprisingly nice for a best western, but again my friend told me it is their Premier class. We would stay there again when we go to Hershey. I didn't like the bed. It is too soft to my preference but it is probably just me because I like harder bed in general. Our kids swam in the pool but couldn't last long because the pool was too cold. Wishing that the pool was warmer to enjoy.
Clerk who checked us in was in great, cheery mood. Never had a better welcome at a hotel.
this was the best hotel i have ever stayed at staff, rooms, area is the best in all of my experience
I went there with my wife because I wanted to combine some business and pleasure. We had a very good attention from the staff at every moment of our stay. the location is perfect. The room was excellent for the taste of my wife for me, I just missed a more business touch. Considering all the aspects of my stay I would consider value for the money between good and excellent, would definitely stay there again if I need to find a hotel in Hershey
Big room for the low price, modern, clean, and very friendly staff! I will be back here!
My husband and I recently stayed at the Crown Plaza. We were disappointed as the rooms were very small and the noise level was unacceptable. If you stay here, ask for a room in the back of the hotel. Parking was valet only and costly but all other parking in the area runs about the same price. The air conditioner was very loud and went on and off all night. Between the noise outside and the air conditioner we did not sleep at all. The rooms were clean but again, very small. I used the Entertainment card and received 50% off the regular rate and I still feel that it was not worth the money we paid. On a positive note, we were able to walk around downtown Harrisburg and enjoy the restaurants, pubs, and sights.
I knew my room hadn't been cleaned when I found money on the floor from previous guest. No towels in room. AC/Heat didn't work. No shampoo, coffee. Front desk unresponsive.
I was not satisfied with my stay at all. The rooms were small and tight as well as the bathrooms. It felt like I was at a motel. The rooms need to be remodeled as well as the bathrooms. Everything about the hotel is tight and to be located downtown, it should have looked better than it did.
rooms are microscopic, bathrooms smaller. A/C didn't work in my room, it was 82 and I had to try to sleep with the windows open. Repeated requests for an engineer were never answered. The ''health room was a discrace. The equipment was so out of date it was downright dangerous. Would never stay here again
The parking facility for the hotel was always booked and I had to park across the street from the hotel during half of my visit. Mind you the main parking area is dismal and extremely confining so this was not a loss. The room I stayed in was pitiful and tiny for myself, my husband and two children. I made sure to stay outside as much as possible, so as not to remain in that tiny space.
Heater did not work in both rooms/TV remote did not work/Bathroom is small/Linens not cleaned/Room Service was horrible/Parking is VERY small/For a Crowne Plaza Hotel this was very disappointing
Hotel itself was clean, but they charge extra for everything and it's expensive. Not worth the money.
Discover all that downtown Harrisburg has to offer! You are at the heart of everything, including shopping, dining, entertainment and the arts. You are within easy walking distance of Restaurant Row, Harrisburg's Capitol Complex, the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts and the Susquehanna River's picturesque waterfront and the wonderful Hershey Park.
Room was cleaner than expected, quiet and a great basic room. Staff seemed professional, and I got the room at a great rate.
We needed a place to sleep for a few hours before getting back on the road so we weren't looking to spend a lot of money, so this meet that need. I always check the bed and pillows to be sure they are clean and these were so that was a plus. After seeing how "clean" the bathroom floor was, I made sure to wear my shoes. We didn't plan on showering so that didn't persuade me not too, but I am glad I didn't need to.
It was kind of clean There were no microwave or refrigerator
New, clean, and east location Smelled so strongly of Marijuana that it was Nauseating
Wifi was very poor. my stay was miserable
It was good overall , the only problem I had was that the AC went out in the morning and we couldn't get it back on , then we had to put it on cold fan and eventually it started working again, later in it happened again
Decent room for the price
The room was a good price. The beds were well made and linens in good condition. The TV worked without any problems. The beds were relatively comfortable, although firmer pillows would have been nice. The heat in the room also worked well (we stayed in January). It was nice to have a mini-fridge and microwave in the room; I am a breastfeeding mother, and having somewhere to put a bottle of pumped milk was extremely helpful. I'm fine with a room being Spartan if I'm not spending a lot of money. But it MUST be completely clean. The toilet was not. Around the top of the toilet bowl (under the seat) had definitely not been cleaned. Any hotel that can't adequately clean a toilet is definitely not going to be on my list of places to return.
Location Needs a good military style scrubbing
Cheap. If you couldn't sleep either you slept in too late or weren't drunk enough
Second time staying at this location for business. There's always parking, the staff is nice, and the pool/gym are a nice bonus. Breakfast selection is wide and decent quality. A little off the beaten path in relation to businesses, shopping, etc. for the area. Priced higher than most local competitors too.
Simple. Everything you need. Friendly staff.
Enjoyed the free wifi. Room and bathroom clean. Enjoyed the natural light from the large window even though it was right over a parking lot. Quiet. Literally stones through from 4 chain steakhouses. And a bunch of fast food. Easy location off highway. So much chlorine in the hot tub my eyes stung just walking by it. Maybe that's a good thing though? Only ice machine was on first floor.
Rooms are clean, nicely equipped with coffee, refrigerator, microwave. Facility was clean and quiet. Breakfast was decent.
The staff wasn't very friendly
Everything. It was a very nice, clean hotel with all the modern amenities. The pool table was a nice feature. The rooms were very nice and spacious with very nice decor. The free wifi was actually pretty fast. Overall a great experience. It may be rather nit picky, but if this is all I could find wrong, you all did a very good job. The breakfast sausage was not very good and the beepers on the waffle machines were rather loud.
Location. Easy access and Proximity to major attractions, stores, food. 8/19/2016 12:00 AM - 12:45 AM - unpleasant odor of Marijuana. Called front desk manager who arrived and sprayed area. He returned call and offered to move us.Checked out new room, 2nd floor, around 6:45 AM. POOR. Stayed in existing room despite slow drain
price was very good for the location The hotel looked very dated. The hook in the bathroom was hanging on by a thread. The bathtub was old and outdated and dingy, and the coffee maker did not work. This hotel needs a makeover. Breakfast started at 7 am ...which is too late for travelers
The mattress was poor and salvage. Was tilted and not comfortable at all. Breakfast room is tiny and not offering good breakfast choices. The Jim smell yikes and hot. So far it's not a good option to stay in this place

Everything was amazing. The staff, the food, great location. Best of all near great eating places. I would of like the hotel to have been closer than the 1/2 Hr drive to Hershey park however it wasn't a bad commute.
Best free breakfast we ever had. Nothing.
Nice breakfast with hot selections.
The staff was extremely friendly. The room was very clean.
The staff were friendly. Beds were comfortable Breakfast was not the best real eggs would be nice
The hotel staff was very polite . The hotel room was very dated and dirty. Paint chipping off the wall, bed sheets dirty, towels dirty! The phone in the room did not work. The TV was in terrible shape and the color was all messed up!
Holiday Inn Expresses are usually nice and this one was!
The Check In was quick and the hotel staff was great. They recommended a great nearby restaurant for dinner. The free breakfast buffet was fantastic! It is located in a great area with lots of restaurants and shopping. Nothing major. The room needed a little updating, but it was very clean and had the necessary creature comforts needed for our stay.
This is a brand new hotel and the people were very friendly.
the desk was really helpful and courteous. The rooms were clean and spacious. The rooms were clean, although the carpet required shampoo-ing. Two TVs in the room was truly odd as they could have made better use of that space.
Booked in to a room next to a guest who dropped off his dog (Rotwieler) in the room and left. Dog was barking and bouncing around the room for hours. Called the front desk to complain and finally changed the room. Pet policy needs to be tighten up. Guests should not be allowed to just leave their pets in the room unattended for hours on end. Unfair to the animal, the other guests the hotel staff and the hotel. I can't imagine the condition the room.
