The hotel is very clean and the rooms are kept in great condition. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Going out on the balcony was a splendid delight. The river view alone is worth the stay. The food at breakfast could have had a few more hot choices. I like my eggs hot.
The room was recently updated and had a contemporary feel. Clean everywhere except for the tiniest things, it was better than most of the places I've stayed at. The full breakfast was a great surprise when I was expecting only a continental breakfast. Smokers on adjacent balconies flooding my room with smoke. They aren't supposed to smoke there so it wasn't the establishments fault, but it wasn't a pleasant experience.
very comfortable beds. easy access from parking lot. right on the river and across the street from best restaurant in grants pass. very quiet. large rooms and bathroom areas. pleasant front desk staff. too much money if booking directly with hotel. much better deal booked through a third party. I would not pay the amount they charge directly through hotel for he quality of the room howeer. the hotel is older, they have done some updating, but its definitely not high end for charging guests $135/night. I would pay $100/night MAX. pretty pitiful continental breakfast. gnats flying around the breakfast room and getting in your food/drinks. They have a fridge in the room but no microwave so traveler beware don't bring back leftovers if you plan on reheating later.
Noise from highway.
The hotel was clean and the rooms comfortable and quiet. Overall the staff was friendly and helpful. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was for the convenience of the breakfast. Overall the variety of the breakfast was very good, though the "fresh fruit" was whole apples and kiwis...who eats a whole kiwi?! In addition, virtually all the warm food was cold, necessitating warming different items for different lengths of time in the microwave. There was also a security issue with the key cards while we were there, and we were required to get a security key card for which we had to leave a $10 deposit. This was inconvenient and left me wondering about the security of our room.
Everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean. Beautiful setting. Nothing
Breakfast was poor.
I am always looking for a place that will take my dogs and I felt quite comfortable with them there. It is right next to the freeway entrance, so if you are on that side of the building it can be a little loud.
The rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again. I also loved that they were dog friendly. There was the off putting smell of old hotel lingering in the rooms and halls. It wasn't the pets it was something else possibly water damage recently?
The room was clean and spacious. The pool, spa, and fitness center is open 24/7. And they had a good selection of tasty food for their complimentary breakfast. This was my first time staying at La Quinta and it is my new favorite hotel. I will be staying here from now on. It's just as nice as expensive hotels but for a decent price! I loved everything, the only complaint I have is that they only gave us shampoo and no conditioner. I love it! Only gave us shampoo and no conditioner.
Breakfast, clean rooms, nice swimming pool and hot tub
It was so nice to be at a hotel that truly is pet friendly, my dog and I felt very welcome. The dog walk area is only gravel, it would be nice to have some grass
The bed was comfortable better than expected Continental Breakfast seemed to be like for extended stay
Only two positives: free wifi and location. Hotel staff extremely slow to check in/out guests, had to wait each time. Breakfast was supposed to begin at 6 am and the door to the lounge was still locked at 6:15 and the front desk clerk was too busy to help. TV had poor reception and was supposed to have satellite channels but didn't. Hotel needs major updates.
The staff were very friendly and the room was clean. My mom said the shower was great, with a lot of water pressure. The breakfast was good, they had a lot of options for a continental breakfast (waffles, microwave burritos, milk, juice, cereal, bagels, muffins, etc.). We even left something behind and they sent it to us once we called. The place was a lot more outdated than I thought it would be, they even have real keys ( I could get the dead bolt to lock with the key). The breakfast area was a little smalI, once there were 5 of us it was difficult to get around. I was so happy they had the device that we accidentally left behind, but it would have been nice for them to call us to let us know they found something, we could have picked It up before we left town. They did send it to us, but it cost quite a bit of money.
Good location, Black Bear Diner next door TV Remote broken, light in bathroom burned out, hand towel ring pulled 3/4 out of wall, key didn't work on main bldg entry to rooms, bed very very firm, ran out of Kleenex as very little in box, room had odor, rooms are old and a makeover would make more appealing, bathroom is small, no disposable cups only glass ones.
Inexpensive room rate. Iron and ironing board. Good pillows Table lamp didn't work. No microwave, no fridge. Small TV with very bad receiption. Long walk to contiental breakfast room, difficult for elderly. Very little selection for contiental breakfast. Old metal keys to room. This motel really needs a remodel job, it feels old. Will not return.
Beautiful spot, s'more kit for kids was a hit. Spacious room, quiet, rustic setting. Historical "old Hollywood" aspect was interesting. Would gladly return and spend a couple of nights here. Was initially surprised to find that a cabin room was a section (room and deck) in a cabin rather than us having an entire cabin to ourselves. That said, we felt private in our section and didn't hear or see anyone else in our cabin. Neighboring cabin left their exterior lights on all night. We closed our blinds and the light wasn't a problem, but it would be good if they didn't stay on all night. My young daughters had a great time, but in the king room we did have to make a bedroll on the floor for my two year old. Would be great if the couch had a foldout bed.
Great staff and great atmosphere!
Everything. By far the best place I have ever stayed Nothing
The manicured grounds, friendly staff, cabin architecture, proximity to River and perfect distance from Grants Pass, and fire pit with adirondanxk chairs surrounding so one could roast his/her perfectly packaged s'mores kit!
We like being on the Rogue River and the restaurant is in walking distance. We make sure when we are going north to plan a stay there. Everyone is very nice including the breakfast staff. Beds are great and lovely accommadations
The staff was very helpful and nice. The rooms very clean. The view and grounds are beautiful and peacful, incredibly relaxing. The morning breakfast was one of the best I have ever had!
Centrally located. Friendly and a acommodating staff. Comfortable bed. Secure.
Location and price. Near Jet Boat excursion and affordable. During check-in, I was asked if we had a pet because there was a $15 fee for pets. I told him I did not have any pets, yet he proceeded to ask me again at least three more times like I was lying to him. He was rude about it and I found this behavior quite bizarre. Next, we were given a room above a smoking room. At around 2am, the people below began smoking copious amounts of marijuana and cigarettes. This wafted into our room from the AC unit in the front wall and from the bathroom vent. Closing the bathroom door and turning off the AC unit helped, but then the room was unbearably hot. Also, the beds were uncomfortable. The mattress was so worn out that you couldn't sleep on the edge without rolling off. Finally, the bath towels and washcloths looked like something from an auto shop. They were clean, but incredibly stained and threadbare. I brought the smoking issue to the attention of the management in the morning, and they responded as if it were my fault for not requesting to up and move my family at 2am. They did not apologize once, and were very rude and defensive.
Cheap, private Horrid location. Loud. Tweaker central. We even saw prositutes, not even exaggerating. Not only that, but it didn't Feel clean. When I wanted the maid in, she didn't even vacuum. Plus the whole damn family live s there. On vacation I'd rather not have to deal with a bunch of little kids running around. I would not recommend taking a family, but want the worst for a young couple on the go for cheap. I've definitely seen worse.
Location was great, easy on and off the freeway excellent staff, friendly, professional and helpful. Beds were hard, not like the last Holiday Express Inn I stayed at.
The bathroom floors were actually clean. Not sticky like some more expensive places we've stayed. The towels were very white and felt brand new without that smell they get from being old and washed many times. Very good value. We'll stay there again.
Giant rooms. Stayed in the suite room with spa tub. The room was incredibly big and the beds were so comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. The manager 'Doug' was so informative and answered all our questions about the hotel and about the city. No dislikes. Hotel was amazing.
The room was spacious. The water pressure was good in the shower and the sink and the temperature got hot. There was a lid on the toilet (as opposed to Motel 6). The HDMI interface worked on the TV. The staff was friendly. The breakfast is expansive. The steam from the shower set off the LOUD smoke alarm. I was definitely considering cutting our four days short because of this. They close the jacuzzi at 11pm. They don't offer bacon at the breakfast.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Clean and quite could use better cable service. And nicer tv's
The room was clean and comfortable. The woman who checked us in was friendly. Location was convenient - right off of I-5 and close to everything in town. The walls were thin enough that you could hear cars driving by. We also had some particularly obnoxious neighbors that set their car alarm off multiple times throughout the night for about 10 minutes at a time, and when we contacted the front desk to complain the night crew was not very helpful.
Location Not very clean and had to lug suitcases and all our stuff up stairs. The nearest restaurant wasn'the very welcoming and the food wasn't very good.
I'm a frequent traveler to the rogue valley. By far the best hotel for the price. Motel 6 cost, holiday Inn quality.
The comforter on the bed had a white stain on top of it when I got into the room. It was changed, the new one was also dirty. The bathtub/shower had hair in it as though it hadn't been cleaned. The front desk girl was just hanging out in the lobby on the couch with her boyfriend. It was very unprofessional. I would not go back.
The room was very clean and modern. The bed was very uncomfortable. I had a hard time sleeping. I did not see an ice machine nor did I have any water cups in my room.
The room was small, dirty, and across the hotel despite it being pretty much vacant. They sent me to the wrong room twice upon checking in, as well as giving me a key to a different room along with mine. The breakfast they offer was pretty much nonexistent and in a corner room.
Location is great, just off I-5 and right next to the Black Bear Diner and Tesla Supercharger stations. We were travelling and reserved at a discounted price through Kayak from a few hundred miles away. A good sleep, and carried on our journey.
Nothing Very old bed and pillows awful !:(
Very clean good location near everything. Has lots of things like the refrigerator & coffee in the room. Thank you!
The employees were polite and helpful. It's unfortunate they're stuck working in a place like that. The hotel smells like expired polyurethane cleaner, and it takes at least 5 hours after guests start arriving for that scent to dissipate through the open windows at each end of the hallway. My room smelled like burnt hair upon entering. We left open the window to let it air out while we went down to the pool. The pool is a pool only in the sense that they get to mark pool on the checklist. Looks like it was built where cars used to pull up to check in? Right outside the lobby amid all the parking spots. It's shaded by the front awning and not heated, so that means it was unbearably cold. We returned to the room to find the burnt hair smell lessened, and so turned on the a/c while we went to dinner. When we returned, we were greeted by, not cold air, but, as my 8 year old put it, the smell of Swiss cheese and feet. Whatever makes the air cold in an a/c was out. So back off it went and the window was opened back up. Come morning, I tried to make coffee, but the coffeemaker was glued shut? Breakfast was as bearable as microwaved egg disks can be. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I think we'll just skip this city next time we drive through.
Was very limited - all carbs except for terrible sausages and egg white rounds Room smelled bad - whatever was used on the carpet was nasty. Room needs new csrpet
Good breakfast and good wifi.
The staff was very friendly and checking in was really easy. The room was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy but perfect since we were just passing through.
Close enough to walk into town. Wouldn't want to spend any time in tiny room.
clean, comfortable, great value for the price, quiet, safe, a great place to stay the night in Grants Pass!
Very nice host, great cable. Dirty window sill in bathroom, including dead flies, tiny toilet, too low to floor.
