Pros: Very attentive staff.
Pros: This property was absolutely amazing!!! We only had one night and I wished we had an entire week. The staff was top notch and the entire property was spotless!
Pros: Wonderful place with everything you would need. The food was AMAZING - very creative and generous. Attention paid to environmental issues - low use of plastic etc. The Pine woodlands and wetlands were beautiful and it was an excellent place to explore the diversity of flora and fauna in the area.
Pros: Beaches r in walking distance
Cons: No internet anywhere period Over rated over expensivve for what it is
Pros: Very nice place, dinner and breakfast with really good quality, and professional staff. Location is great for different activities around. Go for it!
Pros: Very nice facility. Very nice staff. Located near the national park, good bird watchers location.
Cons: Location excellent for entrance to the marshes and lagoon, but off center. No other facilities than the hotel itself.
Pros: Beautifully maintained and attention to detail. A quiet, beautiful wetland and Mountain View setting near the sea. The staff were so helpful and the breakfast was excellent. A good range of well cooked and home made goods.
Pros: Cozy and modern room with balcony. Service is remarkable, with friendly and professional staff. Breakfast is one of the best I have tried. Homemade bread and sweets. Highly recommend. We hope to be back. Thank you!
Pros: The friendly staff, cleanliness, very professional service, excellent location, nice pool. The cuisine exceeded our expectations.
Pros: restaurant, beach, sea
Cons: Air-conditioner was very weak

Pros: Amazing family hotel in a quiet area near to one of the best beaches in Greece. Very good breakfast, very clean, everyday cleaning and every second day changing of sheets and towels. The owners very welcoming and warm.
Pros: The hotel is situated in a nice, quiet garden surrounded by nature. The owners and staff are very hospitable. It’s a great place to chill, with one of the best beaches just a walk away.
Pros: Very friendly owners. Nice place to be with kids.
Pros: Amalia's location is outstanding. It is tucked away in front of a hill in private gardens about 150 metres from the beach. It is very peaceful. The beach is soft yellow sand. The owner speaks excellent English and was very friendly and helpful. It is a family run hotel. Breakfast was a delicious buffet. Faultless. 10 out of 10!
Pros: Perfect , we was the only guests , hotel owner was out of this world , fantastic breakfast too , what an amazing location , will stay again without a doubt

Pros: Nice family-run appartments directly on the main road, located only few km away from beautiful beaches Kalogria and one a little bit remote but less crowded and even more beautiful beach to northwest (I don't remember the name, ask owners, it is worth a visit). Apartments are small but clean and feature AC and fridge. All windows have mosquito nets, appartments in the upper floor have balcony. Bathroom is pretty big, compared to similar accomodations. House has big shared kitchen / dining room. Outside is a small terrace. Safe parking behind the gates. Owners are very kind and advised us where to go to the beach and dinner.
Pros: Host great !
Pros: Good bath.
Cons: Location. Dreadful. Mosquitoes. Ugly fields all around. Miles from anywhere. Without car forget it. Not much happening at night.
Pros: We only stayed for 1 night. We were happy with the setting of the house, your own room and a shared kitchen/living room. Everything was in the kitchen what you could need for making drinks or meals. The owner was very friendly and the rooms were clean. Also check out the beach at Kalogria. The waters are amazing and there are nice beach bars with free sunbeds. And as a bonus we could see jet fighters take off from the air base next to the house, very cool! (only during day, so don't worry about any noise at night)
Pros: The shared fully equipped spacious kitchen was the perfect place for all of us to have our breakfast and gather at night. The owner of the property was really friendly and kind.
Pros: Ok host, I found a mattress under the bed that was way comfier than the bed so slept on the floor on that.
Cons: Kitchen not really equipped for a lot of cooking, its down a weird long road amongst agricultural feilds, alot of barking dogs. Owner wouldn't let us put the fire on as it was cold(winter time) uncomfy beds, echoey noisy house, can hear everything, window rotten in bathroom and curtain pole held up with gaffa tape
Cons: I didn't like the fact that member of the staff was entering the guests rooms without knocking the door first. This was very rude and unprofessional.
Pros: The main reason to come here was to visit the Strofilia forest. A great place!
Pros: A nice clean, modern feeling apartment complex, with the bedrooms upstairs and a communal cooking/eating area on the ground floor. The wifi was good and stable and nice quite air-conditioning was a bonus. The nearby marshes and beaches are great.
Cons: The was a lot of heavy lorries from the nearby quarry thundering up and down the road right outside the house. The Greek air-force F16 jets were noisy when they took off, but they soon disappeared.
Philoxenia Hotel & Apartments is set at an idyllic spot in Kryoneri, close to Mount Varasova and river Evinos. All guest rooms have recently been renovated and offer air conditioning and TV. Most have large balconies with views of the Gulf of Patras. Breakfast room, equipment for barbecues, a parking lot and a playground are provided.
Pros: Location was OK. The supplied breakfast wasn't worth it, and the toilet was in the shower.
Cons: The bathroom.
Pros: Decent restaurants nearby.
Cons: For self-catering accommodation, there was a lack of decent cooking equipment, no kettle until we asked for one and no local shop to buy food.
Pros: The owners were friendly and gave me many advices about places to visit. The apartment was big and comfortable. Nice place to spend a relaxing holiday.
Pros: The location was excellent for people who want to climb at Varasova as the crags are literally opposite the accommodation. A small supermarket is in Galatas (3km). Messolonghi is about 10km away where there is amazing birdwatching at the lagoon. Philoxenia Hotel Apartments is in a quiet location, ideal for families and for people who enjoy the outdoors. The apartment we stayed in had good kitchen facilities, a decent bathroom with plenty of hot water (solar heating shower and electric shower system), a nice bedroom with a comfortable double bed and a big balcony. The manageress was very friendly and helpful. N.B. When travelling outside the main holiday season make sure you contact the manageress regarding your arrival time so that she can be at the property when you get there.
Pros: Nice host. Cleanish rooms. Balcony with small clothesline.
Cons: Wifi was one single access point in a small building next to apartment blocks. Connection was terrible in the room, and I can imagine in high season it would be a lot worse. The toilet was literally in the shower. Beds were a bit lumpy. No kettle provided. Overall we just felt it was disappointing for the price we paid. The place just could really use a make over and a few extra details (eg. tea, coffee provided) to make it more inviting.
Pros: Great location nearby the sea and the mountain. Apartments are well sized and feature large balconies incl. additional rest areas in the garden.
Cons: Washing machine is not in the apartment as stated on booking.com but can be used. However, in high season might be a little queue.
Pros: The host was really kind and helpfull. Nothing was problem for her. The accomodation was tidy and during stay was cleaned. The place is interesting: beautifull mountains, sand beach (espacially suitable for family with kids), many restaurants. This place is very greek, very local (minimum of foreigners).
Cons: In many restaurants in Kryoneri they try to sell us bad wine but with amazing food. :) when we complain about quality of wine they sell us better.
Pros: The friendly, family atmosphere, cleanliness, and comfort. For an economical stay in a quiet and comfortable room, we would highly recommend Philoxenia.

Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location was great
Cons: Old facilities, equipment, old bathroom
Pros: The general ambiance of the place leaves a lot to be desired, very dated. Location just about ok in a not very desirable town . Quite a large hotel and we were nearly the only ones there, not forgetting my cockroach! Rooms large and well equipped. Lifts work most of the time Parking good, staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was typical continental and therefore adequate. Coffee almost cold. Furniture on balconies, non existent. If you must stay in the town it's probably as good as any, just don't stay long
Pros: Practical and cheap
Cons: Little tied and old
Pros: Excellent accommodation at a decent price. Certainly surpassed my expectations. Really very decent.
Cons: Average breakfast.
Pros: Great location and view, very nice staff, clean and good value for money.
Cons: It is a really old hotel, it could use a renovation. Also, the single room bathroom was quite small.
Pros: The hotel was convenient for the bus station and centre of town. The room was comfortable and breakfast was very good.
Cons: Unfortunately the hotel was rather dated, but being in a relatively poor part of the country that wasn't surprising. The worst aspect was that the water was never hot, only warm.
Cons: Good location for the heroes' park, but far from center and port. A bit run down. Breakfast very limited.
Pros: The staff was polite and really helpful
Cons: The bed broke in the middle of the night! The mattress was terrible and noisy, the pillows harder than stones.... old furniture, smelly carpets, no curtains to one of our rooms, old elevators, poor breakfast. Worried for the safety of our car, gypsies were camping outside. Overall a terrible experience, couldn’t wait for the sun to come up and leave....
Pros: Location, friendly welcome, comfortable beds.
Cons: Only the breakfast... Everything else was really good.
Cons: Room smelled of cigarettes, heating was only by noisy and old a/c unit
