Comfortable bed, friendly staff, nice decor.
A bit expensive
A very nice and spacious room with a comfortable bed and nice bath.
Very good coffee, fresh juice and fruit but a stale croissant every day with the breakfast. Other than that a wonderful hotel and staff.
Location was great.
NO restaurant, NO gym / fitness centre as described,
Location really. It is fairly central to all major places of interest, including my favourite restaurant Lardo which was a 10-12 min walk from the hotel. The front desk was extremely helpful. Unfortunately I cannot recall this person's name - she was very helpful in making reservations for restaurants, while also recommending where I could get my thai red curry paste in the city!
The breakfast - I wouldn't recommend one pays for breakfast here. It is the bare minimum - croissant, some fruit and coffee. When you are heading for a meeting, you would usually want to make sure you are not spending additional time figuring out breakfast. There are however some nice breakfast options around the place which you could visit. My room faced the road, and unfortunately, there was some construction work going on in the front, so it was noisy the first day, but it was okay the next few days.
Location is ideal. Smack in the middle of Condessa and Roma. Right across from Parque Mexico. Easy to walk or Uber to Downtown, Coyoacan or Polanco.
The hotel rooms are very small. Well maintained and nice decor but very small. There is no access late in the night, you have to knock on the door to get into the lobby. There is a bar next to the lobby but it is never staffed no never has anyone in it. If you want a bottle of beer you can get it but you have to ask the front desk person for it. Not really a bar.
A small luxury hotel with 16 rooms, evoking a sense of time and place that is modern yet alludes to the past and a bygone era of luxury travel. HIPPODROME Hotel is discretion, harmony and unpretentious luxury. Its the starting point to experience the inspiring and cosmopolitan Mexico City.
