The Royal Palm South Beach Miami offers a great snapshot of the flash and style that makes Miami such a special place and international destination. It utilizes the colors and shapes that were en vogue during Miami’s initial boom years ago, and carries the power of those design traditions into the 21st century. It extends high up into the skyline and boasts an impressive selection of iconic palm trees below. The flavor of the hotel is indelibly art-deco, with flashy, colorful shapes and overstated design elements that have a delightful impact on the eyes and welcome guests to Miami with style.
The Royal Palm South Beach isn’t even a block away from the beach. It is also a 15-minute walk from Ocean Drive and all it has to offer. Whether guests come for sightseeing, shopping, the exquisite dining options of the area, the theater or the epic party scene, the Royal Palm South Beach is positioned to provide access to all of the above and more.
Business travelers will especially appreciate the meeting rooms that can be booked and set up according to guests’ tastes and needs. After a day of meetings and work, guests will likelyl fancy an easy stroll out to the beach for an evening walk along one of the most popular coastlines in the world.
For recreation, there is a fitness center as well as a golf course nearby. There are multiple options for venues that can be used to host casual or formal events as well. Regardless of the nature of the stay, the Royal Palm South Beach Miami has what’s needed to make it special.

Great staff. Very friendly and helpful. The room was large but badly painted and cheaply decorated. Ceiling paint on the bathroom tiles. Very old and stained light switches. Te bed cracked every time I moved so woke me up. We were in the older East tower.
Pros. Nothing really! My experience in the hotel years back was always a pleasure and absolutely amazing. Returning a few years after to this chaos and nightmare of a hotel, I was extremely shocked and disappointed! My friends and family always came to the royal palm once a year and booked between 5-8 rooms at a time. OCEANFRONT ROOMS!!! But the experience this time has horrified us all and we will most like not be booking the royal palm again! The hotel manager was very helpful to the point he did as much as he could to help us but he was not at fault to be blamed for the way this hotel has been “ run down” “ not taken care of” “ lack of control guest noise”. Toilet seats are cracked and bubbled, shower head looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years, mirrors have rust/marks on them which makes it look like an old hotel room, sticky balcony floor I had to clean myself, room smelling like weed marijuana upon entering, random people peeing outside the front door of the hotel. This vacation at the palm has been horrible and with all these problems we will not be returning.
Cons. CLEAN THE HOTEL! UPDATE THE HOTEL! GET THIS PLACE TOGETHER, BECAUSE ITS NEVER BEEN LIKE THIS EVER! FIX THINGS AND MAKE IT SEEM LIKE A HOTEL AND NOT A MOTEL!
Pros. Location is great, bikes are great.
Cons. Breakfast service was sooooo slow. We waited like 20’ to get only water. Only had cold water in the room.... and staff wasn’t responsive to fix it in a timely manner for us to have a hot shower... pool area is not nicely designed, lacks atmosphere. Royal Palm is milking a goat. Would not go back, there are better options for this price.
Pros. Great licarion
Cons. Rooms could have been cleaned better. Needs updating
Pros. Location
Cons. Smaller room
Pros. Great staff and nice property
Cons. Be aware any online prices don't include the $33+ "resort fee" just like the restaurants in the area include tip...the ask for additional tip. Very nice place but I hate not knowing the costs up front.
Pros. Ton's of hotels to choose from and for the money, this one is fine.. resort fee is a bit silly given what's included vs. other hotels on the beach, but the room rate was modest and there's a parking garage right across the street.. net, net the economics are good.. staff great and location about as good as it gets..
Cons. Pool was heavily chlorinated. resort fees are hard to justify, all said..
Pros. Hotel facilities were nice and it was right near the beach.
Cons. Desk staff was a little condescending and not very friendly.
Pros. My wife and I booked this hotel through Kayak's partner Getaroom in late October. The South Beach hotels were generally booked for New Years Eve, so we were happy to have a confirmed reservation. When we arrived at the hotel in New Years Eve, we were told by the front desk staff member that it reservation didn't exist. We looked up or confirmation and confirmed that we had prepaid via credit card. The hotel staff did they could not honor our reservation as they had no rooms available and they take no responsibility for mistakes made by third party booking agencies. They recommended we try elsewhere, so my wife called other hotels and I ran around trying to find a room. We called Getaroom three times and we put in endless hold each time as they struggled with the same problem. They finally found the glitch which turned out to be a misspelling of our last name as "Wppd" instead of "Wood." No apology from the hotel or Getaroom for two hours of frantic searching for another hotel. The hotel itself was nice but lacking in staffing and amenities. Cleanliness was OK. The pool and hot tub were overrun by kids and postadolecents. Location was amazing and we were able to walk to New Years Eve celebrations in South Beach.
Pros. It's right on the beach!
Cons. Housekeeping staff took my iPhone 6 charger and took the bottles of alcohol that I bought and placed in the fridge. They also took my razors. Also noticed that while they are on the floors cleaning they keep all of the doors open even if they have other people's property in them which makes it really easy for someone else to go in to your room and take your stuff.
