The Mayfair Hotel and Spa is impossible to miss in the fashionable neighborhood beside Biscayne Bay. The Coconut Grove setting offers a lively setting for both the surrounding area and the hotel, which draws couples and families who want easy access to walkable streets.
The hotel is located in Coconut Grove, referred to as The Grove by locals, and across the street from CocoWalk shops and dining. It sits in the middle of Miami and offers a laid-back ambiance with upmarket boutiques, restaurants, and beautiful Biscayne Bay views. Within close distance are Miami Watersports, the stunning Italian-Renaissance-style villa known as Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, and Miami International Airport.
There are plenty of shopping, dining, and activity options off-site from the hotel, but on-site amenities are also plentiful. There is a Roman-style restaurant that serves all meals and dishes such as wood-fired pizza. The heated rooftop pool offers panoramic views and is a nice place to cool off. The deck is also lined with cabanas featuring flat-screen TVs and a poolside bar with cocktails and light meals. The hotel also features a 4,500 square-foot spa, 24-hour fitness center, and 15,000 square feet of event space.
Accommodations at the hotel are spacious suites with decorative features and an array of options. Rooms range from Mayfair Suites with king-size beds, sitting area, and Japanese soaking tubs on outdoor terraces. Executive Suites are larger, but Presidential Suites offer the most amenities and apace with private dining tables and bathroom TVs. Standard features in all rooms include large flat-screen TVs, free WiFi, stocked minibars, and coffeemakers.
The unique style of the hotel includes a Balinese interior courtyard and Art Nouveau touches, making it one of the more appealing hotels in the area.

Pros. Loved the location. Comfortable beds. Clean rooms. No loud kids or partying. Friendly staff. Found the “text” service was very helpful in getting ice and extra towels delivered. Would stay there again.
Cons. Few observations rather than dislikes. Once arrived went to the restaurant at 10 to find it was closed. No problem we had drinks (Daniel was great). Tried to have room service the following night, called order at 10:30pm. Was told kitchen was closed (was understood that the kitchen closes at 11pm). Tried to have a drink a few nights after and the bartender (a girl with short black hair this time) couldn’t find the cocktail menu. Once found and we went to order every drink we asked for was not available. She did make one drink and sadly it was too strong. Didn’t finish it. Very nonchalant attitude. She gave a feeling almost like we were interrupting her text conversation she was having while making my drink. There was also a day we didn’t receive room service even though the sign was hanging on the door. Only mentioning this because I work in the industry as well and hope that sharing these things makes for a more memorable stay for anyone.
Pros. Eventhough an old hotel, it is cery well maintained. Rooms are nice and the pool deck is perfect for a relaxing day.
Cons. They could not find my reservation. Check-in took over 25mns.
Pros. Well located, nice staff,no large room and extremely large bathroom.
Cons. Only valet parking
Pros. location
Cons. terrible service COCKROACHES- when I told the front desk there were cockroaches in my room- there was no apology or anything super dark rooms- like you are staying in a dungeon with no natural daylight
Cons. Staff was unhelpful and delayed providing a room until Kayak faxed over confirmation, even though I had a confirmation number and email on my phone. When I finally got the room it was not cleaned from the previous occupant, there were dirty towels on the floor, dirt in the sink, and dirty sheets. Will not be going to this hotel again.
Cons. We booked to get some A/C after Hurricane Irma. When we arrived they would not honor the rate we had already paid online and tried to charge us an extra $65 per night. They wouldn't budge. Do not pay these Criminals, they should be out of business.
Pros. It was nothing as advertised. Almost like going back to 1981 but worse. My colleague went into massive allergy attack once she entered room. We had to leave and go to another hotel. Really bad.
Pros. Location was great to avoid the south beach madness
Cons. Wifi was weak and pool needs more seating
Cons. Our A/C unit did not continuously cool. We called to get it serviced and it never got fixed. Staff was not entirely friendly at check-in. Found 3 roaches on our two night stay- that was mildly unpleasant.
Pros. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and is literally across the street from CocoWalk. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Cons. The only negatives were that the hot tub in my room wasn't working property and we had to call maintenance to fix it, which was done in 5 minutes. The TV wasn't working either but maintenance took care of that in 5 minutes also. Neither of these are a big deal but its annoying when things don't work.
